Ofcourse though found in Mahabharatham and BHagavatham the
authenticity is questionable since the Mahabharatha war kings name finds
ANDHRA AND pANDIYAN OF THE SOUTH but no names like Badami or vatapi of
Karnataka. Chalukya dynasty came much later. Another version is Ayur vedic
cure of VATAM= vata api jeerno bhava=get cured of Vatha. And one story says
that it took place at chennai Villivakkam where even to day sivan temples
are seen which was said to be built by Agastya; but the age of the temple
may bot be 5000 years old.
Also Kerala laso stake a claim as stated somewhere that Agastya and
Lopa mudra resided in Kannur or Cananoor. The meat eating write ups of

sacrifice etc However the Patramacharyal in deivathin kural describes how
absurd the interpretation is. It is as good as telling that soma drink is
liquor etc.
Soma is Moon; Soma is mind; Soma is used in Rig vedam in many places;
normally the term is in Yagna and renders a meaning squeezed with a tool;
Some have said that there is a Soma plant up in the mountains where water
aplenty is seen. However the meaning is as simple as where the time is
mentioned it is the Soma the moon squeezed in between the SUN and the earth
which is grahana day.
Where the Soma is squeezed in the yagna it is the brain or mind
squeezing the shruti mantras and meanings. The west which gave a wrong
meaning forgot that they are using the words SOMNAMBULISM, PSYCHOSOMATIC
DISORDER ETC carry the sanskrit word SOMA only connecting the mind.
The sacrifice of animals is misinterpretations where the yagna tools
even have the images of the animals, vegetables as sacrifice of flesh ones
etc are stated but never any animals killed or eaten by the Brahmins.
Denial of animal food and killing of the animals are stated in rig veda
itself so it is incorrect to say that Agastya took Ram etc. KR IRS 22221
