A3          2 Answers Pradeep Srivastav Answered September 12, 2019

For me all the crows are kaak bhushundi , I always give them respect. In the
holy land of India, youplease your ancestors in Shraad via feeding kaak only.
Then your kak is also a symbolfor the Indian god Shani. Forlord Shani kak is
his mount.

Another interesting aspect is story goes that Kakbhushundi had been granted
boon that he will notforget any knowledge that he attained in his previous
lives. Besidesin general also if you see kak is a very intelligent and cunning
animal, whohas a high life span, In India we respect elders, mostly crows (kak)
are aged !

Whenever I see any crow, I call them kak bhushundi only.

Kakbhushundi is a sage who was agreat devotee of Lord Ram. Kak literally means
crow. The sage ended up in theform of a crow due to a curse. It isbelieved that

Q5         What are some interesting random facts?

A5          February 10 Shared bySuresh Roy[W1]  [W2] Te ZhangUpdated September
23, 2018 Commodity Sourcingat Cummins (company) (2019–present)

After soaking your fingers orplacing your feet into water for a while, they
might get wrinkled like this:

Why?

Some might say that’s due to being in water a long time, which makes ourskin
swollen. Before I also thought it was just a random accidental effect ofthe
wetness.

But, have you ever wondered whythis scene only occurs on the fingers and toes?

Why doesn’t it appear on the other parts of our body?

A scientific study did researchon finding the reason that wet fingers and toes
wrinkle.

The study showed that if you cut the nerves to the fingers and toes, thewrinkle
phenomenon disappears, which proves the wrinkling is a self-directed act rather
than aphenomenon caused by wetness.

Then why would our brain send the signal only to wrinkle the fingers andtoes?
The study made an F1 racing car tire analogy.

The smooth tire provides a superb grip under dry conditions; by contrast, the
wrinkle tire gives better grip on wet ground. The wrinkles will construct a
drainagenetwork that will channel away the water on the surface and thereby
maintain afirm grip.

Our body is truly still a bigmystery to the entire human race…

Q7         Why is sand poured into the compartmentnear the wheel of a railway
engine?

A7          Subhasis Dutta Roy pdatedSeptember 2-2020.Working in Indian
Railways at Indian Railways (2001–present)

Train’s wheels are made of steel and it is running on metal railwaytracks.
Metal to metalfriction is very less. Due to the heavy weight of locomotive and
wagons, acountable friction is created between wheel and track. This
frictionhelps locomotive to move through rolling of wheels.

However, for any reasons, mainly during the rainy season, the rainwater comes
between wheels andthe railway track. This rainwater then works as lubricant and
reduces thefriction between wheels and track.

Thus, the wheel starts slipping.Traction motors roll the wheels but due to less
tractive force causing lessfrictional force, locomotive cannot move. Loco
wheels start rolling or slippingat one place of railway track.

These types of the phenomena are very harmful to both locomotive wheelsand
railways tracks. It creates skidding marks on wheels and tracks. Sometimes, the
locomotive is unableto pull load and train become stall in a block section.

It hampers train movement in thatsection. Another light engine is to be sent
this time to work as banking to clear the block section pushing from therear.

It consumes time and all thetrains run late. Railway always tries to avoid this
situation.

Sand is an effective material tocreate extra friction and it is easily
available. So railway engineers makearrangements to carry the sand with loco so
that it can be used when required.

That’s why, sandbox isintroduced near the wheels and sand must be filled up at
the charge take overand made point of the train.

This sand is used by two types. One is automatic and another is manual.Loco
pilot has to test the manual process of sanding at the time of takingcharge
through the manual pressing switch from the loco cab. Assistant Loco Pilot's
Duty isto check whether sandboxes are all full of sand or not. If not, sand is
to befilled up.

Automatic sanding starts whenever Locomotive wheel slips throughelectrical
arrangements. It energises the sanding switch automatically. Here isan image of
a sand box. ( pictures not added)

Q8         How does soap work to make things"clean"?

A8   Opendi Cornelius Gwoke, NetworkSupport Engineer (2015-present) 23-2-2021

Water slips right off withoutmixing, just like it does with cooking oil.

That’s where soap comes in. Because soap is salt derived from an oil orfat, it
has a unique chemical structure that looks like a balloon. The balloonhead is
the salt—a charged, polar molecule—and it’s connected to a string ortail of
non-polar fatty acids. Thesoap molecule can therefore act like a double-agent:
the salty end is attractedto water, while the fatty tail is attracted to the
dirt or oil. When you mix soap with dirt andwater, the soap molecules break up
the dirt and the bacteria it contains byforming circles around individual
droplets—the fatty chains go inthe middle facing the dirt, while the salt
balloon tops form the outside of thecircle facing the surrounding water. The
wheel-like structure formed by the circle of soapmolecules around the dirt or
oil droplet is called a micelle.

When you wash your hands withsoap, it dislodges the dirt, grease, oils, and
disease-ridden fecal matter particles on your hands by creating thesemicelles.
Surrounded by the soap, the oil molecules become suspended anddistributed in
the water rather than stubbornly clinging to your skin. Thisallows the dirt and
germs on your skin—or on clothing, surfaces, or towels—to be rinsed away with
thewater. Ta-da!
