It comes under East Central Railway (ECR) Zone. Mughalsarai is one of the6

Q4         What is your strangest encounter with a weird person?

A4          Bhuvana Rameshwar3-4-2021.married for three decades

Years back we had gone to Bannari Amman temple. This temple is near
Satyamangalam in TN.It is on the NH 209, next to the road at the entrance to
the ghat roads ofThimbam hills and the start of the Satyamangalam reserve
forests.

Bannari is a small town. We often visited this temple whenever we crossed this
way or in somedistress especially with my husband's mushroom business. The
goddesshere Mariamman is considered very powerful and we believed she would
solve ourbusiness problems. She isfamous in both Tamil and Kanadiga folklore.

Once when going there as we entered the temple we were met by many beggars. One
among them was an old lady, highly deformed andshapeless. I was so scared just
seeing her deformity. Even to give almsI am comfortable with only a normal
looking poor person. Seeing someone highlydeformed by birth or due to some
accident often spikes my adrenaline and Iavoid going to that side.

This beggar lady was new tothis place as hercharacteristics, shape, hunch and
deformed face with big eyes would havedefinitely reminded me of her as we were
regular visitors there.

But that day as I walked fromthe car park I saw this old lady. She was so
different from any normal or abnormal human. I said tomyself “what if it is
bannari amman herself testing us ?”

I had to face her. I had to give her alms how much ever I am disturbed byher
physical deformity. So Iwent near and bravely handed her some money and then
went into the templecompound.

After the temple visit, I was again reminded of her as we had to come outthe
same way. I thought if she was the goddess, she may not bethere.

As we came out and moved to the car I didn't see her. She was so deformedshe
couldn't have gone far. I looked all around. All the otherbeggars were still
there begging. But she had disappeared. Yes, she was nowhereto be seen. It was
probably the goddess herself.

My belief is always gods stand outside as beggars and test us. They don’twait
for us inside the temple's holy rooms or sit decorated in flowers. Godsare
everywhere. There are signs everywhere with hints for us to learn or decidewhen
in a big dilemma. How many of you agree?

Q7         What do the Chinese think of Hindus?

A7          Flora Ding UpdatedNovember 26-2021Lives in China. As a Chinese, here

more than 3800 years ago.

3. 108 is a sacred number in Hinduism. In China, it’s also a auspiciousnumber.
For example, in myhometown Ningxia Hui Autonomous region, there is “ 108

Q8         What was the recent case of running in backward direction ofJan
Shatabdi Express? Was even passengers unable to pull the chain to stop thetrain?

A8          Ankit Barnawal March 20-2021Studentat Doon Business School,
Dehradun (2017–present)

Recent case of running in backward direction of Jan Shatabdi Express

The recent case of running in backward direction of Jan Shatabdi Expresswas due
to cattle runover incident between Khatima andTanakpur section in Uttarakhand.

The train ran 20 kilometers in reverse direction which was on its way
toTanakpur in Uttarakhand from Delhi. The train stopped just short of Khatima
yard safely.

The train was stopped due to an accident but suddenly itstarted running towards
Pilibhit due to slope and the pilots effort to stop thetrain went in vain.

The train's brakes were failed due to leakage in the pressure pipe whichleft
the pilots helpless to stop it and sparked panic among the passengers.

The train ws stopped by putting soil and aggregates on the track betweenBanbasa
and Khatima. Acommittee of three senior officers has been constituted to
ascertain the causeof the incident. Action will be taken against those
responsible accordingly.

There were only 64 passengersin the train and all 64 passengers have been
transported to Tanakpur safely bythe road.

The loco pilot and the guard were suspended following the
incident. No,passengers were unable to pull the chain to stop the train.

Q9         Is there any experimental evidence which shows that lightcan cause
electron to oscillate and produce photon? I ask this because it isoften used to
explain the phenomena of slow light.

A9          John Dubois 4-4-2021

Here is your experiment: look atthe sky on a sunny day. If you see blue and not
black it is because sun lightis causing electrons in the air to oscillate and
re-emit light by a processcalled Rayleigh scattering

Q10       What is the job of a Indian railway Station Master like?

A10        Shishir Chandra June 28,2020 Former Dy. Station Superintendent at
Indian Railways (2017–2019)

Let no one misguide you… I am giving you the clear picture of how I
sufferedjust because of this job and finally decided to quit.

Some Description:

1) It is not a typical government job.

2) No public holidays, no Saturday Sunday rest. You will get rest after 7days
and that too in hours. On small stations you will hardly get rest (will be
compensated throughovertime allowance and some useless money).

3) Training of approximately 75 days(that is the best time because afterthat
life will be the worst)

4) After Training, Line training of about 40 days probably(90% in abackward
village roadside Station)

5)After line training you will be posted in a remote area(90–95%)…

No malls, No restaurants, No cinema halls… even lack of basic amenities over
there. Evenstation masters defecate in the open space (bushes) on some stations.

You will be forced to take the residential quarters on your name and
thecondition of these quarters is no better than public toilets
(sulabhshauchalaya) and even worse. (I am attaching the pictures)

Forget public life, forgetfamily life in this job as you willget stuck in the
vicious cycle of rotating shifts… Day and night.

Promotions are not there.. You will only reach to the post of station
superintendent  (there is no difference between sm and ss inrespect of work).

Choose wisely… As I end up wasting 2 years of my life and suffered likehell.

About 40 percent of the station masters left the job within 1 year ofjoining.
Half of them went for lower grade pay in other departments. Some of mytraining
batch mates  did job for oneweek and left.

Those who are joining… My Bestwishes are with you. Take a printout of this
answer and experience each andevery point I mentioned here.BEST OFLUCK…!!

My note- This is the outlookof a person. But there are many who like the job of
Station master/Assistantstation master. There arelimitations. Especially in
Kerala many ladies have joined as ASM.In Kerala side condition of Railway
stations are better and of quarters. Samewith Tamilnadu. Remote stations surely
would have limitations. But not bad. However in North India, the case can be
different, but not very bad I think.

Q11       What interesting thing did you read today?

A11        Azher Mohammad March 18SoftwareEngineer (2020–present)

The baby gaze ? Do you know Why Do Babies Stare at You? Because they think you
arebeautiful

A study done by a group of university professors showed that babies oftenstare
at people because they think they are attractive.

In the study, babies were shown two pictures:one of a person
consideredbeautiful and one of an individual who wasn’t considered attractive.
Instinctually, the babies were drawnto the beautiful faces.

It has nothing to do with society’s standards of beauty. Instead, itshowed that
even infantsare drawn to people they found interesting to look at.

So if you catch a baby staring at you -it just may be because s/he
thinksthere’s something special about the way you look

Q12       What is the weirdest element of the periodic table?

A12        Navneeth Menon March 27-2021,Iam an aspiring to-be author.

Yttrium, a rare earth element.

This is the 39th element of the periodic table. It was one of the fourelements
found in Ytterby, Sweden; along with Terbium, Erbium, and Ytterbium.

It is stable unless you shaveit into little shaving; after that it become
unstable.

Even tough elemental Yttrium is never found in nature, it is found in other
rare earthelements.

While almost all living things have yttrium in them, it does not serve anactual
purpose. So, it’s just there because…it’s there. Yttrium is a really weird
element to me.

Q13       Whether earth quake and volcano eruption has any relation?

There are almost always earthquakes in the vicinity of an active
volcano, normally of rather small sizes. That’s because the actively moving lava
isbreaking rock layers in seeking out new vents on the side of the cinder
coneunder very high pressures. If the magma being exuded is runny like the lava
inHawaii, then there is not as much pressure, not as many quakes, as when
themagma is viscous and explosive.

Earthquakes happen in many placeswithout volcanos immediately about. Transverse
slipping faults rarely have volcanoes. On the other hand, spreading plate
boundaries are pretty much continuous volcanoes.

Volcanoes also happen 30–70 kilometers on the continentalside of subduction, as
the descending plate is melted and sends its morevolatile elements upward
through the plates to erupt. The Cascade volcanoes arethe go-to example.

All the above QA are based onQuora on 04-04 - 2021. Quora answers need not be
100% correct answers
