Q2         What are few things onlymedical students can relate to? Could you
list few of them?

A2          Deeksha Updated April30, 2020 MBBS from BPS GMC for Women, khanpur
kalan, SONIPAT (Expected 2023)

That one precious moment of your life when you went to your medicalcollege for
the 1st time after clearing NEET.

Buying your 1st apron ever with your college badge on it.

Hearing the heart beat of your batch mates in physio lab during theexperiment
with the stethoscope for the very 1st time and considering ourselves a doctor.

Opportunity to dissect the cadaver in d. Hall.

Experimenting with weird stuff like urine in b.chem.

When you bought your very 1ststethoscope. That moment is priceless.

Holding the newborn baby. That’sone mandatory thing to do in posting.

The thrill of passing the exams, be it a small test or an end semesterexam. And
we stand farakless even when we fail in 1 or 2 exams.

That moment when you got scoldings from your patient while taking historyas
well as the moment whenthey appreciated you for your good work.

When you get all the attention in family function while on the same timeyou
receive nothing except insults in your own college.

When whole of your family andneighbours rely on you for their ‘free’ treatment
while your own parents don’t even trust you for measuring their bp.

Bizzare questions non medico friends ask.

How we are not able to explainto our relatives that we are still 2nd prof
students and we can’t do anything about your health issue.

We can talk about anything like literally anything even while havingfood. Gross
word doesn’t exist in our dictionary. Deleted.

How a medical student waitseagerly for the admission in the college and at the
same time dying to get out of that college as soon as possibleafter getting the
degree.

Q3         What are some unwrittenrules of everyday life?

A3          Aryan Kapoor· Lives inRajasthan, IndiaWed

A few years back, I learned how to drive a car. After one month ofpracticing it
on nearby gullies, I gathered enough courage to take it on the main road.

For the first 3 kms, it went really well and I was really proud ofmyself. But
after that,I saw a traffic light approaching. I was very cautious while
stopping at thelight but in the last second, I lost slight control of my hands
leading to mycar slightly brushing against the car that was standing to the
left of me!

The owner of the car immediately came out of the car and thisconversation
happened between us,

He: Okay……… Do you……

Me:(Interrupting him in between)I am very sorry sir. It’s totally my mistake.

Believe me, his entire face turned from red to normal after hearing that.Still,
since his car was slightly damaged, this happened,

He: But my car has been damaged. It’s a brand new car!

Me: I can see that, sir. I also am a newbie to car driving by the way. I was
very careful but inthe last second, unfortunately, my steering got deviated to
the left.

He: O..okay.

Me: Look, if you want to take money from me for the damages, just tell methe
amount. But I amaccepting my mistake here. It’s completely my fault!

He: It’s okay. Well……. no need for giving any money. And then he went away.

Hence, the most important unwritten rules of everyday life are:

1.Accept your mistakes where you know it’s your fault. Don’t try to coverit up
all the time. It only makes things worse.

2. Excelling at point 1 makesyou very likable to people and helps you in
getting out of many troublesome situations very easily. This is thebest
psychological trick to apply on people.

Q4         Why we are not  inhaling  Nitrogen from the atmosphere?

A4    Terence Houghton, lives inNottingham, Nottinghamshire, UK (1957-present)
Answered 1m ago

We have no choice as that is what our atmosphere consists of. We breathe in
both oxygen andnitrogen. Thebody utilises the oxygen as its readily reactive to
burn calories for energy.Nitrogen although reactive remains stable as our body
cannot utilise it inits gaseous state.

Without nitrogen the oxygen levelwould be too high to be used by our body, so
the oxygen level is at aconcentration that is safe for us. Nitrogen stops the
oxygen being too rich.

2ND answer- IanSiragher, former Managing Director. Entrepreneur Answered 53m ago

Because nitrogen is inert, doesn’t facilitate chemical reactions, so is no good
for supporting the biological functions that keep youalive.

3rd answer -DanielIyamuremye, former Senior Lecturer (Rtd) (2000-2018) Answered
48m ago

We breathe both, nitrogen and oxygen, since air contains nitrogen andoxygen. But
only oxygen isactive in the breathing process.

Harmful chemicals can enter our body by almost any route. Many can enter
through the skin.We administer alcohol to ourselves through the mouth but it is
absorbed throughthe stomach or may pass directly into the intestine where the
remainder isabsorbed.

Every chemical has a SDS SafetyData Sheet which can befound on-line. If itcan
be absorbed through the skin or eyes it will be detailed in the SDS sheet. You
should have an SDS sheet already downloaded for every substance you have inyour
home or work. … Or you can do it now!

Jambhavan reminds Hanuman of hisboon from Brahma and Indra.According to the

Q8         What is the moral from Ganeshaand Ved Vyas!- Mahabharatha writing
instance?

A8          Posted by RamyaSharmaApril 3

Sage Ved Vyas wanted to recite Mahabharata and was looking for a discipleto
write the text while he narrated. Ved Vyas approached Lord Ganesha for help,
and he agreedto write it.

Ved Vyas had a condition that the story should be written in one gowithout any
pause. Lord Ganesha agreed. However, while writing the Mahabharata, the quill
with which Lord Ganesha was writing broke. Therewas no time to get a new quill
as the story had to be written in one sitting.

Lord Ganesha did some quick thinking, broke one of his tusks, and usedits sharp
end to write the remainder of the story.

Moral: Do notget worried about a problem. Think honestly and you can find a
solution.

Q9         What is the process ofhow blood will clot if a large vein was
severed?

A9          Ken Saladin Textbookauthor and professor emeritus Tue

Even in a large injury, such asto a jugular or femoral vein, the blood will
clot—but the issue is, that won’t stop the bleeding.

Blood clots are inadequate to stop blood flow from large or evenmedium-size
veins (like the radial and ulnar veins in the wrist) or fromarteries with their
stronger, pulsatile flow and jetting of blood. Only pressure can stop bleeding
(and then only temporarily) from medium tolarge blood vessels.

So it’s not an issue of whetherblood will clot or not. It’s an issue of whether
or not a blood clot can stopsomeone from bleeding.

If there’s a doctor or EMT onthis thread, she or he canprobably better tell us
the range of vessel size and bleeding severity overwhich clotting is effective
or ineffective.
