Q1         What are some top secrets of medicalstudents that are unknown to the
other students?

A1          Thirak Vaishnav April23, 2020 Student at GMERS Medical College,
Junagadh (2018–present)

I am going to list down some top dark secrets of medical students, aboutwhich
not many people know.

We may be a bunchof smart kids for rest of the world. But we are just average
students inside the medical college!

We are scared of our future. With the upcoming NEXT exam and the
variousuncertainties, it's really to stressful to think about any of it!

We don't like studying all the time! In fact we don't even study wholetime. We
have a lot of syllabus to cover. But if we spend even one day withoutstudying,
we are full of guilt and regret for wasting that day.

We all have had breakdowns quite more than often. We think that we areincapable
of doing anything. We fail, we fall, we cry but we stand up with the same
enthusiasm as before because wedon't want to let down anyone!

We are too good at multitasking. We have got our expertise in balancingbetween
a lit social life and a good academic life.

Parents, professors and peoplehave a lot of expectations from us. And this
scares us. Many a times we allthink that we aren't worth it.

Exams don't scare us, we can face the vivas easily. We can deal with allthe
insults. But dealing with real patients and their real problems scares shitout
of us!

We love bragging! We miss no chance to tell people that we are Medicosand yeah
we are going to become doctors one day! And well we have no reason tonot brag
about it!

Q2         Why does metal turn red when heated?

A2          Two Answers RitwikSunny, former Customer Support Executive at Ashok
Leyland Answered 2h ago

For metals, when they are heated, the energy of the electrons increases. As the
energy increases, the photons that are emitted fall in the wavelength ofthe
visible spectrum. Whenthe emitted photons get more energy, they reach the red
region of the visiblespectrum.

2nd answer- Abe Guler, former Gofer (1977-2007) Answered 1hago

Heating things, in particular metals, is storing heat in them, the metal from
thebeginning tries to dissipate this energy, and so it becomes a heat as well
aslight source itself.

Q3         How important is it to do doublemasking to protect yourself from
COVID 19?

A3          Shraddha Gala 16m ago B.A.in Sociology, Kishinchand Chellaram
College (Graduated 2017)

There are many steps that one can take to help prevent the spread ofSARS-CoV-2,
the new coronavirus that causes COVID-19. One of these is doublemasking which
is wearing one mask on top of another.

The two main advantages ofdouble masking are:

1. Better fit - Many types ofmasks don’t fit perfectly on theface. However,
while wearing two masks, the outer mask can apply gentlepressure to the edges
of the inner mask. When this happens, the inner mask fitsmore closely against
the skin and creates a better seal.

2. Increased filtration -SARS-CoV-2 is mainly spread throughrespiratory
droplets that are made when someone who’s contracted the virustalks, coughs or
sneezes. Adding a second mask can improve filtration becauseit effectively
doubles the layers of material that virus-containing respiratorydroplets have
to travel through before reaching the face and mouth.

A study found that double maskingis very effective at preventing exposure to
aerosols made by coughing and breathing. (Source credits:Healthline)

However, it’s important to practice other preventive methods along withwearing
a mask, such ashandwashing and social distancing. This is particularly
importantgiven the emergence of more transmissible viral variants.I hope this
helps!

A4          We Create- Thu I live inNepal, here we have a famous temple named
Pasupatinath temple. Near Pasupatinath there is Aryaghat which is aplace where
death bodies are burned.

I live near Pasupatinath temple. It was a normal day. I returned fromschool and
I was bored at my house. My parents were at work so I was alone. Ithought of
going for a walk. I usually go to Pasupatinath area whenever I feelbored. But I
didn't used to go at Aryaghat side where death body were burned. Butthat day
the front door was closed so I had to go from Aryaghat side only.

I was there, I sat down justopposite side of Bagmati river. I could clearly see
the dead bodies being burned into ashes in no time.I didn’t felt like standing
and going. I was just thinking if theend goal is to die why is there so much
complications for a short time.

Moreover you never know when you are dying because there were dead bodyof all
the ages from kids to old people.

That day changed my life, I started taking my life lightly. Not in asense that
I was not productive, I just made my life simpler. My anger completely got
lost.I didn't got evolved in quarrel and fights. Before I used to do a lot. I
usedfight a lot in school. My day started becoming productive because atback of
my mind there was one thing that this life is precious and I have tolive to the
fullest and I mean it because it is a reality that you don't knowwhich is your
death bed or time.

This happened 8 years back. When I see that day I believe that was the day that

You might not believe but this weird incident happened with me todaywhich left
me in a shock.

I stepped out today to get grocery. I was bit scared going out of houseas the
second wave is like a nightmare for us.

I looked around in market. I saw scenes familiar to these :

People standing in front of the shop were maintaining social distancingand were
patient

Even the Shopkeeper Uncle was in mask.

It was really shocking to see people showing covid appropriate behaviour.I
pinched myself to be sure that I am not day dreaming.  Quite a shocker !!!

Q8         What is ‘South India’ according toNorth Indians?

A8          Titiksha Rohilla May 5 Screenwriter,Digital Creator, Author

I'm a Haryanavi bornand brought up in New Delhi and I've spent my good time in
cities ofRajasthan (Kota and Bikaner)

But recently, life invited me to taste the essence of splendid culturewrapped
in the arms of beautiful tradition “SOUTH INDIA"

✓According to North Indians, South India majorly compromises of Madras andwe
call every south indian as “madrasi"

✓ but now I've figured out the difference, there are different leagues,Telugu,
Malyalam, Kannada, Tamil etc

✓ Nothing brings us together better than food, and as a North Indian, I used to
think South India justmeans Idli and Dosa but the cuisine is vast like a
Tsunami.

Here I tasted urad vada, dahi vada, Rasam, kurma, Komdrum Sabji, lemonRice,
tomato rice, Murukku, Vangi bath, Aaloo bonda, coconut pulav and akkiRoti for
the first time, andI'm completely in love with it.

✓ In North India, Most of the temples have a unique tomb like structurebut
here, the architectureembracing the temples is amazingly different from North
India.

The Birla Mandir of Hyderabad, is one such beauty.

✓ Navshakti Vinyagar temple is world famous for it's eye bogglingartitecture.

✓ Well, we North Indians make Rangoli on special occasions like Diwali,Holi and
Karwa chauth but here in Telangana you'll find a Rangoli atleast madeof chalk
in front of every other house. They simply love this craft so much.

Basically, South India accepted me like their seperated daughter at birthand
now it feels like a new home.

there are many secrets related to Mahadev, the God of which very fewpeople
know. In such a situation, today we are going to tell you about the third eye
of LordShankar, which is mentioned in the Puranas.

Yes, the presence of a third eye on the forehead of Lord Shankar is mentioned

the common eye.Let me tell you that when Mahadev opens the third eye, then a
lot of energycomes out of it and once it opens, everything is clearly visible,
then they arepeeping into the universe. In such a situation, today we are going

is said to be the third eye ofLord Shiva has been called the catastrophe and it
is believed that one day thewrath fire emanating from the third eye of Lord
Shiva will cause thedestruction of this earth. All threeeyes of Shiva ji have
different qualities, in which the righteye is the element of virtue and the
left eye is Rajon and the third eye isinhabited by Tamoguna.

Lord Shiva is the only god whose third eye is seen on his forehead, dueto which
he is also called Trinethari. In which one eye isinhabited by the Moon and the
other in the Sun, and the third eye is considereda conscience. His third eye
sitting between the two eyebrows on Shivji'sforehead makes him a unique
identity. It is also believed that Shiva's thirdeye is located on the command
cycle.

The obedient cycle is the source of wisdom. On opening of the third eye, the
possibilities ofa normal seed man take the shape of a banyan tree.

Now talk about the Vedas, according to the Vedas, this eye is located ata place
where an important chakra called the chaya chakra is present in thehuman body.
With this, the meaning of the command cycle is the power ofpositive energy in
our body.

Let us tell you that awakening this chakra means that there is properflow of
all spiritual energy in the human body, and instead of this commandcycle, the
enlightenment (knowledge) of the soul is presented and centered. Theperson who
awakens this energy gets all kinds of powers. It is said thatthrough this
