Where hard physical work is required, there are lesser people,and for their work, there is high demand and they are paid well.
Now it is very difficult to get persons for water tankcleaning, sump cleaning etc. If at all a work man comes, he will come on hisconvenient day. Chock pit servicing is very difficult. They have to be paid asdemanded by them. When all better workers left for middle east for the veryhigh remuneration(Green fields) it wasvery difficult to get even an assistant mason or carpenter at one time inKerala during 1985’s. At that time finding golden fields people from Tamilnadustarted to come and work in Kerala and they demanded higher wages. In due course good workers among them also leftfor gulf.
