Q1            DidAlbert Einstein’s kids inherit his IQ?

A1            Rick VonderBrink Physician(1997–present)Updated July 5

Einstein had three children.

The oldest was a daughter named Lieserl. She was unknown to the world at large
until a trove of early letters betweenEinstein and his first wife Mileva were
discovered in 1986. These mentioned adaughter, born in around 1902 before
Einstein and Mileva married. The fate ofthe child is unknown, and it is likely
she was given over to someone else toraise. She disappears from history at that
point, and she probably died veryyoung. Einstein nevermentioned her to anyone
and does not appear to have ever laid eyes on her.

The second was ason named Hans Albert (called “Albert” by his parents), who
attained a doctorate in engineering andbecame a university professor and an
acknowledged expert on hydraulics. He was obviously quite intelligent, although
not quite atchanging-the-entire-precepts-of-physics level.

The third was another son, Eduard (called “Tete” byhis parents), who showed
promise and an interest in medicine. He developed schizophrenia atage 21 and
spent the rest of his life in and out of mental institutions.

Q2            Whatis the number of old-age homes in India in 2021?

A2         Srinivasan AYYAR M.A.
FormerRetired Since 2016 and Doing Nothing Great!!! Thu

I am fromMadras-Chennai, butcurrently living in Coimbatore but I have travelled
very widely duringmy corporate life as well Retired life since 2015. Does this
background qualifyme for answering this question? 😂👍🤗

When we as Acouple, having Plum jobs and having successfully climbed Corporate
laddersdecided to take early retirement due to our only Son's sudden death, we
scoutedaround for a good Retirement Community, first through online,
shortlisted 2–3in Each area like Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi and Hyderabad.

Then after speakingover phone and collecting vital information like commercial
details, rules andregulations etc, we started visiting one by one, every month
starting fromChennai and suburbs, Bengaluru, Pune-Lavasa, Gurgaon, Mumbai et
al. Wherever wewent, we requested for Trial stay for 2-3 days just to
understand the nittygritties, quality of food and services, feedback from those
who are stayingthere.

But by 2015, when we actually decided to quitChennai, we dropped All our plans
of moving toany Retirement Community for various reasons and facts that we
collected over Aperiod of time. Then we came to Coimbatore and started to live
in a rentedhouse and intermittently we too went to a retirement community
called Vedanta Retirement Homes in theoutskirts of Coimbatore and lived there
for9 months but got fed-up and moved back to Rented house.

Coimbatore has themaximum number of Organised retirement homes, from Rental,
leased accomodationto Outright purchase, from 10k per month per person for All
and sundries To 25kPm PP, from just 25 lacs for a 350 sqft studio units To 1.50
Cr independent 4BHK Villas.

The total numberscomes to 39 Retirement Communities in and around Coimbatore
which is thelargest network in the country and can be called as “Retirement
Community Capital Hub" of India. Prideor Shame??

"This👆picture was taken some 4 years ago in A retirement community at the
outskirtsof Coimbatore". We went for trial stay for 2 days.

This is followed byChennai with 24 communities, 22 Each in Bengaluru &
Hyderabad, 19 in northIndia including Delhi, chandigarh and jaipur, 15 in Pune,
Mumbai And Nashik, 8in Kerala and another 15 in ROI. So the total number of
Retirement Communitieson ALL india is 150+ which are organised, with
Fully-equipped, Fully paidservices.

There are 50+ Old Age homes which are mainly run onPhilanthropy and donations
and offer servicesTotally Free of Costs to destitutes and orphans. This was the
numbers as onSeptember 2021. There are another 15 More retirement communities
that are beingdeveloped All over the country on Full commercial terms.

Are thesetrends of ever increasing demand for Paid-up retirement communities A
Boon or ABane??

Only those who seekone and yearn for the life there, for whatever reasons only
could answer myVery Tricky Question???

Q3            Isit good to buy a second inning home at the age of 40, or will
it be just awrong decision?

A3            Prasanna Bhalerao I have someexperience in real estate deals.6h

First a genericanswer for all situations and related to India.

Buying a home atany age, for self- occupation, will generally be not a bad
decision if:

You are sure of current finances

You are reasonablycertain of future finances. Read as, ability to have
sustained job and good earnings for years tocome.

You are notborrowing very high.

You are not goingfor a loan that lasts your entire working life or even
exceeding it. Read as,loan will be finished, maximum by the age of 52.

You are verycertain that the current city is where you wish to settle
permanently.

You are verycertain that the city location chosen is stored best for you and
family.

You are verycertain that the size of the property is going to meet your needs —
current andespecially the future.

Everything isreasonable, no splurging unnecessarily.

In yourcase, you are seeking opinion on a second innings home. What is a second
innings home? Do you mean you already own a home (even thoughit may on loan
currently)? Is this a holiday home? Is this some place where youwish to reside
after retirement? In all respects, buying a second property, whatever be the
reason,is a terrible idea these days:

You will sink a lotof money on a dead or low paying asset   .You will lose
liquidity    .A property is very difficult to sell

People generallydon't sell priorities unless in distress

All evaluation, revaluation, market value is only on paper; you may not, no
indeed will not,get the same value in reality

A house kept emptydegrades faster that a house in use.So in general, I will not
advise this.

Q4            Whydo human teeth need maintenance while animals don't?

A4            Ken Saladin Former professor ofhistology (microscopic anatomy)Thu

Humans live a lot longer, on average, than othermammals, so ideally we want our
teeth tolast longer. Natural life expectancies of some other mammals (not
useful lifeexpectancy or factoring in slaughter) are 20 years for dairy
cows,[1] 25–30years for horses,[2] and only 2–3 years for deer (factoring in
predation, Ithink; 10 years is extreme and 20 years is maximum).[3]

The teeth of otheranimals do wear down and get to be in pretty poor shape.
Dental wear is a common director indirect cause of death, and a limitation on
lifespan, in mammals like deerand goats that live to old age[4]—their teeth get
so worn down theycan’t eat efficiently enough to keep themselves alive, so the
animal weakensand wastes away, falling more and more vulnerable to predators if
not dyingoutright from nutritional deficiency.

I recall an exhibit in New Mexico attributing thelimited lifespan of Native
Americans in significant part to dental wear and inability to adequately
nourishoneself. Not counting their high infant mortality, the typical
lifeexpectancy of the Pueblo Indians was only about 35 years.[5]

Q5            Whyis Hyderabad a better city than Chennai?

A5            Shri Raghu Raaman BlockchainArchitect, Developer and Trainer
September 8, 2015

Weel, I am Chennaiborn and have lived in Hyderabad and Pune too. Well, I like
all three citiesequally with advantages and disadvantages in all the cities.
Hyderabad is cheap compared toChennai and Pune.

Coming to Language, yes Chennai people know and speak only Tamil and I am sure
North Indians willfind it difficult there but have you people ever thought the
other way? ATamilian living in North India? Even in office complexes, you find
peoplespeaking only in Hindi but I don't complaint at all. I have and I
canunderstand and speak broken Hindi atleast now.

Tell me one NorthIndian who has come down to TN or Hyd and learnt the language?
Adapting to thesituation friends, you should be able to adapt than complaint to
stay in a newplace.

Climate: Hands down Pune but Hyderabad is goodfor winters. However, I find
humid summers in Chennai better than dry heat inHyderabad. One of my friends'
skin started peeling off because of the dry heatbut in Chennai you sweat coz of
humidity (Natural cooling mechanism ;-)

Transportation: I found Chennai to be the best in it.Public buses, local
trains, now metro. Do not get into an auto in Chennai. Notonly outsiders, they
loot from local chennaiites itself. You just don’t need toget an auto there
with Uber and Ola now available :-D

People and culture: Purely subjective.

Food: I am from south India. If you complaint abouthaving to adapt to sambar
and idly, I am complaining here in Pune about lack ofspicy food and dependence
on Vada Pav. So each has their ow tastes. SouthIndian food is 50% costlier
here. Same goes with Chennai, North Indian food iscostlier.

Toconclude: Every city has its own advantages and disadvantages. If you can
look atthe positives andbe adaptive to the situation, any city will do provided
it has good facilitiesin which case both Hyderabad and Chennai has all the
facilities you need. ATB

Q6   How didPitamah Bhishma know that Karna was Kauntey?

A6            Bhanu Kiran Exploring ancient textsof Sanatana Dharma September 20

When Karna metBhishma on the bed of arrows, Karna introduces himself as son of
Radha. Bhishmaslowly opened his eyes and asked the guards to leave so that he
can haveprivate conversation with Karna. Once the guards left, Bhishma revealed
to Karna thathe is Kounteya and not Radheya. Bhishma knew this secret through
Narada, Vedavyasa andKrishna.

‘O best of the Kurus! I am Radheya. I havebeen in your sight, but you have
always regarded me with hate.’ He spoke thesewords. On hearing these words, the
aged Kuru used his strength to slowly openhis closed eyes and glanced at him.
He spoke these affectionate words. He askedthe guards to leave and once they
were alone, glanced at him with benevolence.

‘“Gangeya embraced him with one arm, like afather towards a son. ‘Come.
Come. You have always been my adversary and havealways sought to rival me. If
you had not come before me, there is no doubtthat it would not have been good
for you. You are a Kounteya. You are not Radheya. Ihave known this from Narada
and from Krishna Dvaipayana and Keshava. There isno doubt about this.

However Mahabharatadoes not reveal exactly when Bhishma got to know this
secret. Even Karna knewfrom beginning that he is Kounteya, but he never
revealed this secret to anyonein his entire life.

Q7            Howdo shipbuilders bend thick steel to form the smooth curved
hulls of ships?

A7            Rance-Jarvis Casamina·Studied atCalifornia Maritime Academy
September 24

Steelplates are typically shaped using heavy industrial rollers and presses.
Typicallythe plate is heated until it is malleable then run through the press
to bendit. This process is repeated until the desired curve is formed.

However, for morecomplex curved shapes such as at a bulbous bow, the plates are
cut into smaller, more manageable piecesthat can be welded together later.

Q8   Why is it so hotand humid in Africa?

A8            2Answers Graham Cox, BSc (hons) from University of EastAnglia
(1993)Answered September 27

Here’s Africa:

See thosehorizontal lines? The middle one is the Equator, the upper one is the
Tropic ofCancer, and the lower one is the Tropic of Capricorn. Those mark the
northernand southern limits respectively of where the sun is overhead during
theEarth’s orbit. Theregion in between those lines is called a “Tropical”
climate. That covers mostof Africa.

Because the sun isalways so high in the sky at all times of the year, it’s hot.
A lot of solarenergy pouring down causes a huge amount of evaporation, so it’s
humid. Exceptwhere it’s evaporated all the water away altogether, creating
deserts. Thosetend to be pretty dry.

2ND ANSWER -Darrell KuhnAnswered Tue

Is this a troll? Maybe you just went to the wettestpart of Africa during the
rainy season.

Most of Africa isin the tropics, that is between the tropic of cancer and the
tropic ofCapricorn. That is why it is hot.

Northern Africa isthe Sahara Desert and is not humid. Southern Africa is also
desert and nothumid.

Even the middle ofAfrica gets less than half the rain that the Amazon rain
forest does.

A9            Carlos Yanez, Director of ForwardPlanning Answered 21h ago

A beach is a shoreline. Not not all shorelines havebeaches.

Some are rocky  Some are icey Some are muddy Some aremangrove or swampy. Some
are a mix And there are other possibilities too

2ND ANSWER David Cabeza Answered 22h ago

A Shoreline isbasically where the Water meets the sand during the tides … A
Beach is the total grounds area …

3RD ANSWER-Kevin Sullivan , SoftwareEngineerAnswered June 6, 2018

I would say that abeach is someplace where there probably is sand is easily
accessible. However, the shore could be rocky or cliffs and possibly
inaccessible. But the shore canbe a beach, it is all encompassing. However, the
beach is a unique component ofthe shore.
