Today, in Economics we teach that man is mainly the economic man, who is completely selfish and who competes, with no empathy or altruism. He is just an inanimate machine, whose behaviour can be tracked and represented mathematically and in geometric curves. One can safely ignore all emotions and feelings, and assume that he is just a machine, the victor who trounced all other organisms in the Darwinian free for all. We teach that all organisms Darwin each other, or fight with each other, making the rogue organism the victor, and always the victor and of course it is the economic man. We do not even attempt to communicate and converse with every other organism, but of course want to converse with life forms living in the other planets, distant planets going round the other stars and even in the other galaxies. We know that there are trillions of bacteria, living in a human being, bacteria that enable the cells to function and without the bacteria we will be not living at all. The proof that we are essentially macro beings, existing because of the symbiotic behaviour of the trillions of bacteria in us, is clear to us but we just do not care to note. Our macro existence extends towards the organisms of the Biosphere, there is gigantic functioning symbiosis, making every organism become part of one big organism, the biosphere as one organism. When one sits before a flower on a plant and smells it, without disturbing it, one experiences the response of the flower which communicates with smells. It is also inhaling our responses as smells. We are talking with the flower, and we create the flow of the positive emotion—love. The symbiotic flow of smell communications from all organisms is simply the flow of love from God. Prayer simply means, smelling and sensing God from nature, nature which is free from the human economic terror. Economics is terror against nature and the smell of terror, has taken over the human economic societies, and today, terrorism is part of human sociology. Economics has made prayer to God superfluous. When you are plucking away flowers from plants, you are terrorizing the plants and flowers. You are not praying at all. A plant wants its child the flower, to be with it, to nurture it, to mother it, and plucking its child is putting the plant in terrible grief. Prayer is not a list of demands to be presented to God. It simply is feeling the symbiosis of nature by breathing,smelling and sensing and feeling. Thanks to urbanization and industrialization, whole forests or the God abodes, the Temples, are converted into big cities without nature. There is no God there for smelling and sensing. No wonder we bribe and jump the queue, to get rid of the ordeal, the darsan. We sense clearly the absence of God, because all forests are eliminated to create roads, cottages, hotels, resorts, five star hotels... No wonder one finds the lampooning of Brahmins, in fact a web of lies about the complementing caste based organization of the Hindu way of life, and the denigration of the very Hindu heritage.
