Pranam *Prakriti, Vikriti and Sanskriti: The rules of life*
Prakriti is when a person lives for himself or when his actions are centered towards oneself. Sanskriti is when one lives for the sake of others and vikriti is nothing but distortion in one’s living. Greed is a type of vikriti, which can make a ‘nar’ a ‘narbhakshi’ and later ‘nar rakshas. On the other hand, if a person works towards sanskriti, it can convert him/her from ‘nar’ to ‘narottam’ and from ‘narottam’ to ‘Narain’. Prakritji is nature; Vikrithi MUTATION is also a nature; if made well it is the sanskrithi well made out nature; and nasanskriti is also a nature. NATUREE IS BEAUTIFUL, FRIGHTENING, ENCRYPTED, DESTRUCTIVE, HABITAT, DISSTABILISATION, GREEN AND RED, AND A MATTER OF FACT ALWAYS IN THE EXISTENCE WITHIN THE PURUSHA. Prakrithi means “the basic urges of man and animal life:” sex, food, power urges, desire for dominance, aggression as a survival mechanism, herd instincts, hierarchical status (pecking order), need for ritualized behaviour in relationship, the play instinct, emotional drives etc. In other words, the term “Prakrithi” encompasses all the primal urges which man shares with his mammalian and reptilian brethren, powerful sub-conscious drives which are part and parcel of the DNA baggage stored in the ancient parts of his brain. These drives or needs are seen as part of nature’s grand design in the evolution of consciousness from lower to higher life forms. In the proper place and at the proper time, they have their own legitimacy, and their own right to fulfillment. “Vikrithi” is the term used to describe a situation where these normal and natural drives (Prakrithi) have become perverted and distorted. One rarely encounters “Vikrithi” in the animal world. Occasionally, a rogue elephant will emerge from the herd, or a “mad dog”, but usually these creatures destroy themselves or are destroyed by the herd or the pack*. Mutation is not high value but weakening substance of low in order.* It is a peculiarity of the human race that “Vikrithi” or perversion of these natural instincts is much more common than in the animal world. In fact, one could go so far as to say, at the risk of alienating almost everyone, that “Vikrithi,” or “perversion of natural urges,” is now the standard behaviour in modern society! In our Indian tradition, this is “Vikrithi,” or “perversion.” These activities, of the human being are all gross perversions of the natural hunger instinct and need for food, and are classified as “Vikrithi” in Hindu thought. This brings us to the third Sanskrit term “Samskrithi”. Samskrithi, in its most basic sense, means “culture”. In the Hindu tradition culture or “Samskrithi” is that “collective ethos of a group of people which evolves a pattern of behaviour which regulates, refines and sublimates the basic Prakrithi or the bestial urges which man shares with the creatures who are lower than he in the Great Chain of Being. The greatness of a culture or Samskrithi *( a good mutation*)is its capacity to restrain, refine, transcend and make sublime (sublimate) the primordial urges of man. By this definition, one can see that the modern materialistic life style cannot be called a “culture” at all! The modern way of life does not in any way quality as “Samskrithi”. Instead of refining, controlling, and sublimating the animal instincts, it glorifies, indulges, magnifies and worst of all, perverts them. The modern life style is a collective “Vikrithi,” or perversion of primordial instincts. *PRAKRITI IS VIRTUE, VIKRITI IS SIN AND VICE AND THE SANASKRITI IS SAMASKARAS. Vikriti – Om Vikrityai Namah Prakṛtivikṛti (प्रकृतिविकृति).—mutation of the original form. 1-30. Vyāsa said :-- O King Janamejaya! Next to this Puṣparāga maṇi enclosure wall comes the tenth enclosure wall, made of Padmarāga maṇi, red like the red Kuṅkuma and the Rising Sun. It is ten yojanas high. All its ground, entrance gates and temples and arbours are all made of Padmarāga maṇi. Within this reside the sixty four Kalās or Sub-Śaktis adorned with various ornaments and holding weapons in their hands. Each of them has a separate Loka (region) allotted and within this Loka he has get his own formidable weapons, Vāhanas, families and their leaders or Governors. O King! Now hear the names of the sixty four Kalās. They are :-- Piṅgalākṣī, Viśālākṣī, Samriddhi, Vriddhi, Śraddhā, Svāhā, Svadhā, Māyā, Sañgñā, Vasundharā, Trīlokadhātrī, Sāvitrī, Gāyatrī, Tridaśeśvsrī, Surūpā, Bahurūpā, Skandamātā, Acyutapriyā, Vimalā, Amalā, Aruṇī, Ārunī, *Prakriti, Vikriti, Śrīṣṭi, Sthiti, Saṃrhiti, Sandhyā,* Mātā, Satī, Hamsī, Mardikā, Vajrikā, Parā, Devamātā, Bhagavatī, Devakī, Kamalāsanā, Trimukhī, Saptamukhī, Surāsura vimardinī, Lamboṣṭhī, Ūrdhakeśī, Bahusīrṣā, Vrikodarī Ratharekhāhvayā, Śaśirekā, Gaganavegā, Pavanavegā, Bhuvanapālā, Madanāturā, Anaṅgā, Anangamathanā, Anangamekhalā, Anangakusumā, Visvarūpā, Surādikā, Kṣayaṃkarī, Akṣyobhyā, Satyavādinī, Bahurūpā, Śucivratā, Udārā and Vāgiṣ’ī. These are the sixty four Kalās. All of them have got luminous faces and long lolling tongues. Fire is always coming out from the faces of all of them. The eyes of all of them are red with anger. Innumerable chariots, elephants, hordes, etc., and other vāhanas are here. Verily all the war materials of the Devī Bhagavatī are seen in this Gomedamaṇi enclosure. (devi Bhagavatham).
