Washing machine has different variations depends on the capacity and motor
power. The belowis the typical washing machine technical specification and also
the generalfeatures of washing machine.

Typical Washing machine technical specification

    Top loading / Front loadingtype

Capacity range from 6kg to 15kg

    Induction motor

    Input voltage 100V- 240V

    Power in 1200W / Output power 100–400W

    Water proof

Q2             Why do most animalspecies have two sexes?

A2              Claire Jordan Degreein biology and folklore; programmer, shop
owner, secretary on newspaperMon

No. Most vertebrates andarthropods are, but even invertebrates there are
intersexes who are both, or neither, and there are somespecies which change
sex. And there are many species such as snails whereindividuals are *both* male
and female at the same time.

I’m not sure if any animals arecompletely sexless, except asan abnormality, but
single-celled organisms usually (but not always) are. Thereare animals, even
some vertebrates, which have become all-female and reproduceby parthenogenesis,
but still retain female anatomy, and I’m told that the tiny aquatic animals
calledrotifers are sexless under some conditions.

Q3             I am married but Idon't have a marriage certificate. For my
Indian passport renewal, should Iindicate I am single or married?

A3              Bhuvana Rameshwar marriedfor three decades Mon

Married. You should not lie or give misinformationin any government
applications, especially new passport application or passportrenewal.

If you do not have a marriage certificate immediately apply for one usinga
lawyer's help . You may need a proof of marriage like wedding
invitation, photographs of the wedding or the temple receipt if your marriage
took place ina temple or other places of worship. Others proof like signature
of seniors whoattended the wedding would also be needed.

Q4             Why does a coconuthave no seeds?

A4              Bhuvana Rameshwar FormerTeacher, Mon

The coconuts that you see in themarket for sale to be used in Indian and
Srilankan curries are the seeds.

Here the fibrous husk is removed before sending them to the market. Webreak the
shell, remove the coconut water for use.

The fruit has a green cover when raw, gets a brown or yellow colour whenripe.
Inside the fruit is the seed which has sweet nutritious water for the
germinating baby plant. They come out after breaking open the 3 opening holes on
the seeds hard cover.

Q5             Why does Russia haverailway stations named stuff like "П.л. 292
км" and "О.р. 132км" and why are they almost always in the middle of nowhere?

A5              Ivan Novoselov KnowsRussian Fri

This is distance in kilometersfrom home railway station.Such names are used
when there are no settlements or noteworthy objects nearbyor when there are
multiple settlements, to avoid confusion. I don’t rememberthem ever coming in a
row, so it’s hard to confuse.

Platform 33 km, not far from my country house. Not exactly in the middleof
nowhere but close to it.

Platform 294 km. More like in the middle of nowhere. Still, some peoplelive in
the area, some people just come to the forest.

Q6             What is thedifference between SBI YONO and SBI net banking?

A6              KanthaswamyBalasubramaniam Lawyer Dec 23

#1 Yono is based on a 6 Digit pin, Net Banking is based on analphanumeric
password and username

#2 Once installed in registered mobile, you only need a pin to keeploggin in
while you need Username + alphanumeric password to log in to netbanking

#3 Yono has easier customer interaction over net banking

#4 Yono has 4.5 times moreallotted bandwidth than Net banking & 2.5 times more
transactions since

Otherwise same limits & applications& functionality

Cons

#1 Easier to misuse. If yourphone is taken and they know yourmpin, they can
access your yono because they have ur OTPs

#2 Higher crash rate. Yono hasthe highest crash rate ofaround 322 minutes over
a 7 day, 24 hour hour period over Net Banking whichaverages 33 minutes of crash
over a 7 day, 24 hour period (Not includingmaintenance)

#3 Higher Reported TransactionComplaints - An averageof 38.5 Crore needs to be
resolved every month on an average on Yono / UPI overa mere 1.73 Crore on
Netbanking/Online payments

SBI has more transactions than the next 4 banks combined. Its like the
USdefence budget.

So right now SbI needs Yono + IB + Yono Lite to keep up with transactionsand
together can handle a 50K transactions per second range smoothly.

Tomorrow if they can get Yono to handle say 100K transactions per secondrange
smoothly then the others may be phased out

For comparison Bank of baroda can handle 18K Tps while HdFc and axisaverage
9.5K Tps

Q7             How can we take out clothesfrom the front load washing machine
when the power goes off in the middle of awash cycle?

A7              3 AnswersTony Christian Ratcliffe , former Engineer at Marconi
Space and Defence (1982-1986)AnsweredJun 22, 2018

Most washing machine doorlocks are kept locked during the cycle with a powered
ptc heater and bimetallic strip or a solenoid within thelocking mechanism, once
thepower goes off because of power failure or the end of the cycle this
componentreleases and the door can be opened. Occasionally this type of door
lock sticks so a gentlepush against the door helps to release the lock.

That said. Some newer machines that I have come across have no handlemechanism,
they rely on a solenoid to release the door, a litte bit like thecentral
locking in a car. Most but not all have an emergency release pull cord.

2ND ANSWER-Al Leong ,BS Mechanical Engineering (1972) Answered Jan 10

Front load washer are generally locked during operation. When power goes off in
themiddle of the cycle, the door lock will release, but only after a 30
seconddelay for safety reasons—time enough for the tub to stop spinning.Yes,
door lock still works for a moment after power is loss. (There is acapacitor in
the door lock circuit for you electrical buffs)

3RD ANSWER-DouglasBurnside , I raced bicycles for 40 years, now I'm retired in
Mexico.Answered Jun 22, 2018

Open the door of the washerand remove the clothes. Afront loading washer uses a
relatively small amount of water. The water levelwhen the drum is not rotating
will be lower than the level of the door. Theclothes will be quite wet and will
drip on the floor, but other than that thereshould be no difficulties.

My note- I have noted the Samsungfront load washing machine can be opened after
the cycle period, but water fill be falling from drum in case of prolonged
power failure.

Q8             Are there snakes inGreat Britain?

A8              Claire Jordan Degreein biology and folklore; programmer, shop
owner, secretary on newspaper Thu

Yes. We have the adder, whichis a mildly venomous viper, thesmooth snake (which
is very rare), the common grass snake (which is introduced) and the barred
grasssnake (which is native). There are also a few small colonies of other
snakeswhich have escaped from collections.

The adder was originally called the nadder, but people got confusedbetween “a
nadder” and “an adder”.

Q9             Is it true that inIreland there are no locks for bedrooms, or do
parents not give privacy totheir teenagers?

A9              Fionnula MacLiam Livesin The Republic of Ireland Dec 8

Most interior doors in Irishhouses are indeed lockable - but nobody locks them.

Living areas are common to all, and no need to knock - you just walk in,to the
kitchen, living room, dining room etc.

But bedrooms - call first, thenknock. I don’t think anyonehas a problem with
this system. It works. Call and get the answer “I’m busy!”But the person knows
they are wanted and will emerge to find out why. Knock andget the answer “I’m
getting changed!!” - again you wait for them to emerge.

UNLESS it’s an emergency, inwhich case yell and yell and knock and shout
“FIRE!” or whatever the emergencyis.

It’s just being respectful of each other.

Parents don’t want kids over a certain age just walking into theirbedroom;
parents don’t want to embarrass their older children. We were theirage once :D

The keys? all in a drawersomewhere, and unless theparent is VERY organised,
it’d be difficult to know which key is for whichdoor.

Q10           Do most scientistsbelieve that all life came from 1 specific
primitive cell? If so, is there aname for this first cell?

A10            Claire Jordan Degreein biology and folklore; programmer, shop
owner, secretary on newspaper Nov 17

Not precisely. When you get down to very simple single-celledorganisms there
isn’t really such a thing as a fixed, individual cell, becausethey swap their
genetic material around ad lib and even absorb each other. So we would have
come from a *population* of millions or billions ofsuch cells.

I can’t think of a name for that very earliest population, although therevery
well may be one. The name for the most recent populationof cells which is
ancestral to all life alive today is LUCA, Last UniversalCommon Ancestor. There
may have been - almost certainly were - otherpopulations of cells existing at
the same time as LUCA but which died out andhave no extant descendants.

If there isn’t already a name you could call the earliest cells FUCA,First
Universal Common Ancestor
