Q1            Isit safe to eat tomato skin?

A1            Lucia Garcia Worked atHospitals Sun

Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, and their skin, pulp and seeds can be eaten.

Tomatoes are both a vegetable and a fruit, and it is not advisable to remove
the skin when eatingtomatoes.

Tomato skin is rich in lycopene and dietary fiber, and its lycopenecontent is 3
times higher than that of pulp.

Lycopene is a natural antioxidant with unique antioxidant power. Theantioxidant
capacity of lycopene is about 10 times that of vitamin E.

Lycopene can scavenge free radicals that can cause aging and disease, protect
cells, and delay the body's aging process. The dietary fiber content oflycopene
is much higher than that of pulp. Dietary fiber can speed upgastrointestinal
motility, eliminate toxins and garbage, and is very beneficialto the health of
the gastrointestinal tract.

Q2            Iseating too much pepper bad for your health ?

A2            Lucia Garcia Worked atHospitals Jan 28

Pepper is a very spicy food andis often used as a condiment, which is perfect
for spicy food lovers.

However, excessive consumption of pepper may damagethe gastric mucosa and
colonic mucosa, leading to gastrointestinal anddigestive problems.

In general, eat a maximum of 5grams to 6 grams per day, about 1 tablespoon.

The main active ingredient of pepper is piperine, which has a wide rangeof
pharmacological effects, such as anti-inflammatory, bactericidal, antioxidant,
anti-tumor, immunomodulatory functions and so on.

Pepper also contains aromatic oils, protein, dietary fiber, vitamin C,vitamin
D, and minerals such as manganese, potassium, and iron.

Pepper is the most basic ingredient in Indian and Chinese medicine and isoften
used to treat a variety of ailments.

Eating a little pepper everyday can bring more health benefits than you might
think.

Q3            Whydo some parents who are aged more than 90 years in spite
having crores ofwealth do not wish to give anything to their own children?

A3            Bhuvana Rameshwar FormerTeacher, 5h

They arecautious. They are sceptical. They have trust issues with their family
members.

They are only ensuring they are not ill treated, thrown out or sent to aHome by
the people who inherit their wealth and money. Some elders are abandoned too.
We read these kind of news often innewspapers or see them on TV.

Nowadays no one has time or patience to care for parents or grandparents, more
so if they are bed ridden, or disabled like with sickness, failing eyesight,
hearing, physical strength or if they are having Alzhemier ‘s disease. So
having money ensures they get some humane treatment if not loveand respect.
Atleast they can get good medical treatment, a home nurseif needed. I remember
an old relative of ours donated all his money to thedevoted home nurse who took
care of him after his adult children stoppedvisiting him. All his three
children lived in the US.

Another person known to us even married in his old age and his pensionnow goes
to the lady who stayed with him and took care of him. He was a retiredgovt
officer. He married some ten years after his wife's death. He lived aloneso
needed a full time person for company, cooking home food and for running
thehouse.

Q4            Whichtechnology made a smaller computer possible?

A4            Brett Bergan BuildingPC's for 25 years Jan 11

Intel co-founder Robert Noycefiled for the Integrated Circuit patent in the
summer of 1959.

Seven years after being granted the patent rights, Gordon Moore, AndyGroves,
and Noyce left Fairchild Semiconductor in 1968 to make integratedcircuits for
64-bit memory modules.Their first commercial product from Intel in Aug 1968
washe 3101 memory module. The 3101 only housed a few bits of memorystorage per
square millimeter, but it was a crucial beginning to what hasproven to become
one of the greatest companies in the history of human achievements.

My note- So before 1968 therewere only smallmathematical mechanical calculators
like NCR-(National cash register).  I have used it in 1966

Q5            Wouldyou be offended if you had a doctorate and someone who knows
it addresses youas Mr.?

A5            Ken Saladin I think,therefore I am.22h

Like the rest, I have a PhD but Idon’t expect people to call me doctor. Many
people do, in academic and formal settings like introducing me asa speaker, and
politicians do, but outside of that, no—and I don’t expect it. Ieven invited my
students to call me Ken in my early years of teaching, but mostof them were
uncomfortable about that and they themselves preferred to use thehonorific. So
after acouple of years, I just started introducing myself the first day of
class asDr. Saladin. Here in the south eastern United States, with its
ownidioms, it’s common for people to call me “Mister Ken” (or my wife
“MissDiane”) particularly in business dealings with people who have met me
beforeand sometimes meeting me for the first time. I think it’s a charming
blend of friendliness and respect.Close friends don’t use the “mister,” but
retail sales people, receptionists, and others who know me but not on intimate
terms like a close friend, use it.Women are correspondingly called “Miss” this
or that regardless of whetherthey’re married or not.

Q6            Doesthe middle class owe its existence to the industrial
revolution? And why wasn'tthere a middle class in ancient times?

A6            Jason Almendra I took"Greek & Latin Roots of English" in college
Updated Jan 20

During the Paleolithic period, men and adolescent boys hunted. Women
andchildren gathered. When the Neolithic period began c.8000 BC. Human
societystratified. 1 percentbecame the ruling priestly class. 10 percent became
the warrior caste. And therest became peasants.

Trifunctional hypothesis - Wikipedia

The trifunctional hypothesis of prehistoric Proto-Indo-European
societypostulates a tripartite ideology (" idéologie tripartite ") reflectedin
the existence of three classes or castes— priests , warriors , and
commoners(farmers or tradesmen)—corresponding to the three functions of the
sacral , themartial and the economic , respectively. The trifunctional thesis
is primarilyassociated with the French mythographer Georges Dumézil, who
proposed it in1929 in the book Flamen-Brahman , and later in Mitra-Varuna .
This part of the 12th-century Swedish Skogtapestry has, possibly erroneously,
been interpreted to show, from left to right, the one-eyed Odin , the
hammer-wielding Thor and Freyr holding up wheat. TerjeLeiren believes this
grouping corresponds closely to the trifunctionaldivision.

Three-way division- According toGeorges Dumézil(1898–1986), Proto-Indo-European
society had three main groups, correspondingto three distinct functions:
Sovereignty , which fell into two distinct andcomplementary sub-parts: one
formal, juridical and priestly but worldly; theother powerful, unpredictable
and priestly but rooted in the supernaturalworld. Military , connected with
force, the military and war . Productivity ,herding , farming and crafts ;
ruled by the other two.

In the Proto-Indo-Europeanmythology , each social group had its own god or
family of gods to represent it and the function of the god or godsmatched the
function of the group. Many such divisions occur in the history ofIndo-European
societies:

Southern Russia: Bernard Sergentassociates the Indo-Europeanlanguage family
with certain archaeological cultures in Southern Russia andreconstructs an
Indo-European religion based upon the tripartitefunctions.  Early Germanic
society: thesupposed division between the king , nobility and regular freemen
in earlyGermanic society…

Classical Greece: the threedivisions of the idealsociety as described by
Socrates in Plato 's The Republic . Bernard Sergentexamined the trifunctional
hypothesis in Greek epic , lyric and dramaticpoetry.

India: the three Hindu castes, the Brahmins or priests;the Kshatriya , the
warriors and military; and the Vaishya , theagriculturalists, cattle rearers
and traders. The Shudra , a fourth Indian caste, is a peasant or
serf.Researchers believe that Indo-European-speakers entered India in the
LateBronze Age , mixed with local Indus Valley civilisation populations and
mayhave established a caste system, with themselves primarily in higher castes.
Reception - Supporters of thehypothesis include scholars such as Émile
Benveniste , BernardSergent and Iaroslav Lebedynsky etc….

However when writing emerged in Sumer c.3200 BC. A new class emerged. The
clerical class, who didn't perform manual labor. Here's an ancient cuneiform
tabletof a father chastising his son to study hard and become a scribe.
Otherwise hisskin would be roasted by the Sun and his back would be broken by
hard labor.

Q7            Whyis Palakkad not seen in the development projects, including K
Rail?

A7            PM GowindanNampoothiri Former GM at Reserve Bank of India (RBI)
(2001–2008) Updated 22h

Palakkad is known only for rice -Palakkatan Matta Rice

There are no strong politicians from Palakkad to demand the due share inthe
state or central scheme.

The Proposed Palakkad Division of Railways was hijacked by TN. TheOlavakkodu
division was bifurcated and major portion went to TN. Palakkad isnow
practically only a Railway Station.

My note- Palakkad railwaydivision (formerly Olavakkodrailway division) is one
of the six administrative divisions of the SouthernRailway zone of Indian
Railways, headquartered at Palakkad in Kerala. It is the smallest railway
divisionin Southern Railway. It was formed by dissolving the Podanur
division.(Googlesearch result)

Q8            Whydo many ultra rich people spend so much time trying to make
more money whenthey have more than enough to last multiple lifetimes?

A8            Awdhesh Singh Author:31 Ways to Happiness| IITian| Director at
Awdhesh Academy (2018–present)9h

Most people believe that happiness comes by achieving success i.e. acquiring
more money, gettingmore power and achieving more fame.

Hence, they often work veryhard, even if they hate what they do, to earn money,
power or fame.

If their employer refuses them to pay, they will not work at all, since the
only reason for sufferingthe pain of their work is a consideration in terms or
money, power or fame.

These people remain ordinary throughout their life, because we havelimited
ability to suffer pain, and we can never create excellence when we aredoing
something against our will, for the hope of success and happiness infuture.

On the contrary, when you do what you like, the work becomes a play.

The more you do, the more you enjoy. As a result, you achieve not onlysuccess
in terms of money, power and fame, but also great happiness in yourlife by
doing what you love.

Albert Schweitzer so wisely explained the relationship between happinessand
success, “Successis not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success.
If youlove what you are doing, you will be successful”.

All the ultra-rich people (likeBill Gates, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg) do what
they love. Hence, even if they work very hard, they don’t doit to become rich,
but because they enjoy the work itself.

The more they work, the more they enjoy their life, and the richer theybecome.

It is true that they are rich, orrather ultra-rich, but that was incidental
rather than the main goal of theirlife.

If they still continue to work hard, it is because they still love theirwork
and they still want to do it better to have more joy in their life.

However, the common people, whose only motive for work is to make money even if
they hate the work itself, can’t understand why someone needs to work despite
being so much rich.

If the ultra-rich people don’t stop working despite their huge wealth, itis
because they don’t wish to lose the happiness that comes by doing their job.

Q9            Whydo black males get offended when they are called 'boy'?

A9            Claire Jordan Degreein biology and folklore; programmer, shop
owner, secretary on newspaper18h

It’s mainly a US thing. “Boy” is sometimes used as part of the descriptionof
low-ranking male servants and farmhands - a stable-boy, for example, couldbe
any age - and white people in the more racist parts of the US oftenaddressed
black men as “boy” because they were assumed to be slaves orlow-grade
labourers. Thenit became a deliberate insult, a way of implying that they
*ought* to below-grade labourers, even if they have a law degree.

It’s less of an issue here inthe UK, where we commonly refer to groups of men
of any age loosely as “theboys” or (mainly in Ireland) “boyos”, but still,
callingany individual black male who isn’t obviously less than 15 a boy can
potentially be seen as an insult.

Q10         Whichset-top box is the best, Airtel, Jio, or Tata?

Q10          Bhalerao Owns a hometheatre with a projector Tue

A Set-top box (STB) is simply a device that validates your account (viathe
card) and enables decoding of the satellite dish signal to be displayed bythe
TV. There is no onebetter than the other.

What matters is the serviceprovider, how good the transmission is, number of
channels, pricing (although almost all charge the same fee),transmission
quality, support (helpdesk as well as handymen attending calls),etc.

I am on Tata-Play (formerlyTataSky) and fairly satisfied with everything. So, I
have been sticking to them for last 8 years or so. Sometimes, when thereis very
heavy thunderstorm, then the service breaks down (rain interruption). It may
last 30 minutes max. As my life does not depend upon the TV, I don’t caremuch
but for some, this may matter.

As the saying goes - don’t fix anything that ain’t broken. Personally, if you
ask me, allare just as good (or bad).

Q11         Whydo cattle lie down to sleep while horses stand up to sleep?

Plenty of horses lie down tosleep, mine used to,

Q12         Whyshould we sit for a while in a temple, after worshipping god?

A12          Dev Kumar FormerTeacher Jan 10

But why do you want to sit fora while?

Answer: It is customaryfor us to come out after visiting a temple and sit for a
time at the temple'sfoot.o you have anyidea why this custom exists?

This ancient custom was created for a specific reason. In reality, one should
recite ashloka while sitting silently at the foot of the shrine. This versehas
been forgotten by modern people. Recite this shloka and pass it on to thenext
generation.

Anayasen Maranam

Bina denyen jeevanam.

Dehanth tav saanidhyam,

Dehi mey Parmeshwaram

The meaning of Anayasen Maranam is that we should die easily,
withoutdifficulty, and never grow sick and be confined to a bed. We should not
die bysuffering, but rather by letting our lives pass us by as we go about our
dailylives.

Bina denyen jeevanam indicates that there should be no reliance in one'slife.
You'll never need to rely on anyone for help. Do not be paralysed orpowerless,
just as a paralysed person becomes reliant on others. By SriKrishna's grace.

.Dehante tav sanidhyam translates as "Let death arrive in the presenceof
Bhagawan. Sri Krishna himself stood in front of Bhishma Pitamah at themoment of
his death. Allow life to flow freely while receiving this darshan.

Grant us such a boon, Dehi mey Parmeshwaram, O Bhagawan.

While prarthana, recite the aforementioned verse. Do not ask for job, car,
bungalow, house, money, or anything else (worldly things); Bhagawan will
provide you withthem according to your qualifications. That is why, after
receivingdarshan, one must sit and offer this prarthana.

This is prarthana, not a request or a plea. Prarthana is not for worldlythings
such as a house, a business, a job, a son or daughter, worldlypleasures,
wealth, or other things; anything requested in this manner isbegging.

The word 'prarthana' means - 'pra' means 'special’, ‘best’, ‘highest’
and'arthna' means request. Prarthanathus means ‘special and highest request’.

Note: Don't use the word prayer.

Bhagawab's darshan at the temple should be done with open eyes at alltimes.
Some folks close their eyes and stand there. When we have come to see,why
should we close our eyes?

Open your eyes and look at the form of Bhagawan, nija-swarupa, of thedivine
feet, of the lotus face, of the shringar, take full enjoyment, fill youreyes
with the beautiful nija-swarupa.

When you sit outside after darshan, close your eyes and focus on the formyou
just saw. Close your eyes and meditate on your own soul within; if Bhagawandoes
not emerge during meditation, return to the temple and have darshan again.
