Greatness of Tirukkural

1 Racist like Narayanaswamy may not know the difference between the
Karpoora vaasanai and the articles he is often pronouncing in his 50% of
words, he is exposing. According to Bhaskaran Nair, "Thirukkural begins
where Bhagawat Gita exited," and "Tirukkural is not a matter for discussion
or discourses as it remains to dismiss discussion and discourses." Further
he added, “When I started making a deep and detailed study of Tirukkural I
was really startled to herald a new World in it—a world that I have never
had seen. As unable to bear or withstand its powerful light that struck
against me I closed the book as one closes his eyes against the powerful
Sun. I pondered over this, days and nights, with mixed feelings. Opening
the book again I, from a distance, examined a few further lines.
Spiritualism involved in the extremity of science is found anywhere in the
book as the sun found reflected anywhere in the ocean or a clear body of
water.

2 The Kural text, considered to have been written in the 1st century
BCE remained unknown to the outside world for close to one and a half
millennia. The first translation of the Kural text appeared in Malayalam
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malayalam> in 1595 CE under the title
*Tirukkural
Bhasha* by an unknown author.{ The funny fellow is cracking a joke as if it
is exposed by a chauvinist but the real one was from the land of
Narayanaswamy only}. It was a prose rendering of the entire Kural, written
closely to the spoken Malayalam of that time. However, again, this
unpublished manuscript remained obscure until it was first reported by the
Annual Report of the Cochin Archaeological Department for the year 1933–34. It
took another three centuries before any translation was published in
Malayalam.

3 Tirukkural <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tirukkural>, also known as
the Kural, an ancient Indian
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancient_India> treatise
on the ethics and morality of the commoner
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secular_ethics>, is one of the most widely
translated non-religious works
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_literary_works_by_number_of_translations>
in
the world. Authored by the ancient Tamil
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamil_language> poet-philosopher
Thiruvalluvar <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thiruvalluvar>, it has been
translated into at least 42 world languages, with about 57 different
renderings in the English language
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_language> alone.

4 Kural has been translated into most languages, next only to the
Bible and the Qur’an. The Hindus claim that their most popular scripture
the Bhagavad Gita is the second most widely translated book after
the Bible. It has been translated into at least 24 languages [*
<http://www.beliefnet.com/story/46/story_4625_1.html>] and probably more.
The Chinese claim that their classic Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu is the world’s
most translated Book.[3] Victor Mair, a translator of Tao Te Ching, had
this to say: "*Next to the Bible and the Bhagavad Gita, the Tao Te Ching is
the most translated book in the world*".[4] Ninety one different
translations of *Tao Te Ching* in 15 different languages (35 translations
in English alone) are available at a single website on the net [*

Analects (*Lun Yu*) attributed. In October 2021, the Central Institute of
Classical Tamil
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Institute_of_Classical_Tamil> announced
its translating the Kural text into 102 world languages. In Malayalam

5 The 1330 couplets are written without a single poem (Kural) exceeding
or falling shy of 7 words.

It is the only book in the world that has the highest number of
translations after the King James Bible.

It begins in the name of Brahmam but still speaks of no particular religion
or God.

It virtually covers every virtue in human life – character, sex, love,
wealth, life, governance, friendship, etc.

The first letter of Thirukkural is அ; the last letter is ன், the first and
last alphabets of Tamil language.

6 Such a magnum opus does not need the shabby comments of the worm
existing on this earth because of its Karma who exposes his ignorance and
the shallowness of knowledge in all respects.
