* Having seen the film 'Kashmir Files' I wish to share a few random thoughts. 1. It was not shocking to me, probably because of my background in police and also because **I recently read a short biography of Prophet Mohammad by Bill Warner.* *The perpetrators have done just what Mohammad taught and practiced. They have done what the prophet would have done. The prophet was successful in producing several clones of his because the nature of strategy is religio-political where the dividends are swift - the spoils are tangible.** If Russia invades Ukraine and succeeds in defeating them, the Ukrainian property and women do not belong to the Russian soldiers, but here in jihad, they go to the soldiers of jihad. **The present film has also shown how the public distribution system was in favor of the majority and how the Hindus were marginalized. The BSF records note how in most border villages of Pakistan, the population of Hindus was up to 80% and with a continuous adverse discrimination and non-supply of essential commodities the Hindus were economically strangulated and got converted.* * 2. **The ethnic cleansing of 1990 is one more successful chapter in the history of jihad. **The historians can really see how it is a text-book case, so to say, of how a population can be terrorized over a period of time and converted. **At present, we witness peace, when the army is dominating the area, and also because the jihad is completed in the area. Terrorism will arise if they want to extend jihad to other areas at some opportune time in future.* *3. The film has warned how demography can change the situation in other areas such as Bengal or Kerala.* *Demography is such a situation , People would be in the mode of denial or probably they do not even know till it is too late. It is like the boiling frog syndrome where the frog does not even know that the pot is boiling and when it realizes, it is too late to jump out because it is so incapacitated.* *We may also pray that the government should become powerful enough to handle the issue of population before it is too late. Conclusive factor in the success of modern-day jihad.* *With all the support of the liberals the administrative machinery would become irrelevant, the law of the land would be irrelevant. In fact, there can be electoral victory too, because the others can be terrorized not to participate (as we see in places where Muslims dominate).* *4. It is not certain whether the film would stir the conscience of the nation or the conscience of Hindus to stay united. Brahmins stay targeted all over India by Left liberals and the action on pandits in Kashmir may not evoke much anger in other sections of the society. The film mostly uses the term pundit and the word Hindu is used only in a couple of places. As a Brahmin, I feel uncomfortable to visualize my SC friends smiling in glee that the Brahmins have met their nemesis.* *5. Here I come to my oft repeated concern that our swamis have to have some outreach program for all sections of Hindu society and try to bring in some unity. I wonder whether many sections of Hindus have any stake in Hinduism. It is also partly due to the perceived spiritual supremacy of the Brahmins. The religious leaders have to realize that they would be the first targets when the numbers are no longer in favor of Hindus. Hindu priests are the easiest to be threatened not to attend temples. We can only pray that our swamis would wake up to the problem. Our doctrine is so egalitarian and liberal, but it is perceived to be quite the contrary. It is our own fault that we are not following what our Upanishads say.* *6. The film is very relevant because it has shown how jihad is a continuous struggle to spread the religion. It is a struggle which has several phases.
