Coolants are filled inside the engine side pockets andsurrounding areas and the
coolants pass through air cooled condenser in thefront side of engine which is
continuously air cooled.

Above 👆 thisstructure, is a big fan usually visible if you go to flyover in
railwaystations and see a diesel engine passing by.

Above pic shows theassembly of locomotive body to locomotive engine unit at
Diesel LocomotiveWorkshop, Varanasi. (Well, I was lucky enough to see the
marriage ceremony.. 😉)

Now, in above pic,you can see the diesel engine behind me. On my left side of
the picture, you can see the fan andcooler unit. On the right side you can see
a pale blue (not sky bluein the front) triangular type of tank, which is
coolant tank.

Now, in this pic,you can see some round structures on right side. These are
used to drain thecoolant which is filled inside the engine.

the above pic showsthe testing of diesel engine. Only pure water is used as
coolant which convertsto steam during vigerous testing of diesel locomotive
engines

Mechanical enthusiasts enjoy…😉😊

Q3         Whatare the health benefits of eating chia seeds?

A3         Lucia GarciaWorked at HospitalsMay 2

Although chia seedsare small, only 1 mm in diameter, chia seeds contain many
nutrients that the human body needs and are oneof the most nutritious foods in
the world.

In the past fewyears, the popularity of chia seeds has skyrocketed in countries
such asEurope, America and Japan due to its health benefits.

According to theUnited States Department of Agriculture (USDA), 100 grams of
chia seeds containabout 34 grams of dietary fiber, which is a typical
high-fiber food.

Dietary fiber canstimulate gastrointestinal motility, accelerate metabolism,
reduce carbohydrateand fat absorption, and avoid fat accumulation.

Meanwhile, chia seeds can expand 12 times their originalweight in a short
period of time after absorbing water, so chia seeds canquickly increase satiety.

Therefore, chiaseeds are one of the best foods for fast weight loss, known as
"MIRACLESEEDS"

Chia seeds containa variety of antioxidants, such as gallic acid, caffeic acid,
rosmarinic acid, chlorogenic acid, isoflavones, myricetin , quercetin and
kaempferol, vitamin C,vitamin E, etc.,

The combination ofthese natural antioxidants has strong antioxidant properties
that scavengeharmful free radicals, strengthen the immune system, and avoid the
risk ofvarious diseases.

Chia seeds are richin minerals. Chia seeds contain 6 times more calcium than
milk, 11 times morephosphorus and 4 times more potassium than milk.

Chia seeds also contain chia seeds such as iron, zinc, copper and other minerals.

In addition, chiaseeds are also rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, protein, and 9
essential aminoacids.

According to historical records, chia seeds were once astaple food of the
ancient Aztecs and Mayans. Today, some people feel a surge of strength and
vivacity after consuming chia seeds.

Q4         Arevegetarian communities like Marwadis and Jains healthier and live
longercompared to others in India?

A4         Gurumurthy Kalyanaraman IT LeadershipGuy Mon

Vegetarian communities of Tamil and Palghat brahminsmostly reach 95 easily in
general. Some cross 100.

Evidence: Times ofIndia Obituary columns.

They eat very little. Filter Coffee and butter milkconstitutes main part of
their food.

Rasam, Rice,Sambhar, and one curry is their usual meal. Around 40% of them are
diabetic in general, but theirsugar elevations are generally marginal only and
not too high.

In the morning theytake two dosas in general. In the afternoon little meal and
in the night sayaround 8pm another meal. By 4 pm one filter coffee and by 6am
another filtercoffee.

Daily walk for minimum half an hour. Chantingof/listening to Vishnu Sahasranama
or Rudhram&Chamakam every morning afterbath. Half of the males do
sandhyavandhan too mandatorily.

They areconservative when it comes to fuel/electricity usage and hence
generally walkto the markets to buy vegetables/groceries often.

Stress symptoms, Cholesterol/Trigliceride elevations,Cancer, heart issues are
minimal in them, due to their low salt, too low oil,and healthy food. Oil we
can see in Thadka or whilefrying papadam/fryums(may be thrice in a month). Else
oil consumption on dailybasis is very minimal.

Poori/pizza/pasta/otherforms of fast foods - are all out of their menu. If they
consume one of theseonce in a year, that can be considered a party day!!

Major reason for the less stress atmosphere, is theirspiritual inclination and
‘let go’ attitude when they face shortfalls/failures.They generally leave
success and failures to God. In general they live adestitute life in Tamil Nadu
where the Dravidian politics is hell bent to drivethem out as did Kashmir to
their Pandit counter parts. But theirnon-confrontational attitude helps them
pull on. However, they are well off in other states/abroad.Maharashtra, Gujrat,
Delhi, Karnataka are the places where they getdue recognition for their service
and integrity to their employers.

Their lowmasala/low salt/low spicy food generally fails to trigger extreme
anger/dailyfights etc and sometimes you may find them failingto get anger even
where they are supposed to. This diet coupled withhigh spirituality are the
core reasons for their longevity.

I don't know aboutJains/Marwadis, hence not able to say anything.

Q5         Howdoes one figure out if a body of water is safe to swim in?

A4         Answered bySascha LDec 11

There are a few redflags which tell you that you really shouldn’t swim in
certain waters, evenwhen you need some cooling from the heat.

One such sign is when the water is completely green. Ifyou happen to swim in
water during the algae bloom, you risk exposing yourself totoxins the algae
produce and might even get sick from it.

If the current of a river seems to move faster than youare able to swim, you
need to avoid this body of water at all costs. Throw astick of wood into the
current to see how fast it moves, and don’t overestimate your swimming
abilities, even water that is shallow isable to overwhelm a person!

It also helps to look for hazards down stream, such asdams, white water
currents or sharp rocks. Avoidswimming in rivers that have those elements down
stream.

Don’t go swimmingnear spots where two rivers merge into one. The current of the
river that joinscould be much stronger than the one you are swimming in. This
phenomenon calledconfluence can take you off guard!

Another way to risk getting really sick is going into abody of water near
farmland. Animal feces from manure canlead the water to become contaminated by
harmful bacteria such as E. Coli. These bacteria are also a good indicator that
much worse pathogens could befound in the water.
