BEING  A COMPILATIONTHERE MAY  BE ERRORS

Q1           What do couples fight about?

A1           Gopalkrishna Vishwanath Never datedany one and yet happily
married.21h

Anything and everything.

It’s not possibleto live for so many years without a quarrel.

Here are some jokesabout quarrelling couples that I received in a WhatsApp
forward.

My wife sat down onthe couch next to me as I was flipping channels. She asked :
“What’s on TV?” “Dust” I said. Andthen the fight started.

When I got homelate last night my wife demanded that I take her someplace
expensive. So I tookher to a petrolstation. And then the fight started.

I asked my wife“Where do you want to go for our anniversary?”. It warmed my
heart to see hermelting in sweet appreciation. “Somewhere we have not been in a
long time” shesaid. So, I took her tomy parent’s house. And then the fight
started.

My wife was hintingabout what she wanted for our upcoming anniversary. She said
“I want somethingthat goes from 0 to 100in three seconds.” So, I bought her a
weighing scale. And then the fightstarted.

My wife wasstanding and looking at the bedroom mirror. She was not happy with
what she sawand said to me “I feelhorrible. I look old, fat and ugly. I really
need you to give me a compliment.I said, “Your eyesight is perfect”. And then
the fight started.

That’s all for thepresent. I will look forward to jokes on husbands from others.

Q2           I am going to Tirupati Balaji and Ihave so many wishes to tell
God. How can I say so many things in just a fewseconds in front of him?

A2           Ramadevi Gidugu Bachelor of commercefrom Andhra University College
of Science and Technology22h

All seven hills arehis abode.

If you are climbingby foot, touch the first step, tell what and all you wishes
are, then start.

Write what and allyou want to tell him and drop in his hundi. Everything in
hundi belongs to himand reaches him. If you can't do either, the moment you
enter the temple starttelling.

The best method isjust open your eyes, look at him in that few seconds, fill
him in your heart, sit inside the temple compound wall, close your eyes and pray
him.

Tell him, the smallmoment of time is enough only just to see him. You did your
part by coming tohim. Now his duty is to listen to you and fulfill your wishes.

Personally I feel,he knows the heart of his devotees. He takes care. Still, we
tell him ourproblems, our needs, wishes, everything.

Mom also feeds ababy only when it cries. May be we take that fact too literally
and ask him totake care of us.

Nothing wrong inthat. Whom we ask for help?

Whoever can do.Whoever is capable of helping us. We think he is that person.
So, can try this.

Q3           Why did humans in ancient times havea dozen children?

A3           Mark Harrison Two kids who seem to beturning out well. Ask me
again in 40 years....May 17

Ancient times? My grandmother was one of 11 children.

Three (3) of thoseeleven (11) lived long enough to have children of their own.

I’m only 50, and I live in the UK, which meant thatmedical care was better in
her era that it was in much of the world.

It’s worth notingthat English has a special word - orphan - for a child whose
parents have died…but it doesn’t have a special word for a parent whohad lost a
child. It was just assumed that losingchildren was part of the natural state of
having them.

Q4           How do you protect exposed electricalwires?

A4           Gopala Krishnan, former AssistantGeneral Manager 1996-2004 at
Department of Telecom (1966-2004) Answered justnow

The tower lines areACSR wires. Local feeds and Low KW lines are also ACSR
wires. In the first caseif a wire snap, currentis automatically cut off at
substation.

In the second caseperiodical maintenance is done to ensure they do not snap
under from  normal circumstances. However during stormsthere is possibility of
them getting snapped . To avoid electrocution, powersupply is switched OFF from
substations during storm. Very rarely wires maysnap at other times,
publicthemselves safe guard the area, electrical staff come within minutes on
phonecall,  and switch OFF power supply fromtransformer and then set right the
line in India.

Power cable is being laid to most new  homes  and flats avoiding maximum
overhead lines inmost areas in India

Q7           Is eating rice flakes good or bad?

A7           Conscious Foods1h

Rice that has beenparboiled before being rolled, flattened, and dried into
flakes. The thicknessof the flakes varies depending on the pressure employed
during the flatteningprocess. When employed in various meals, the flakes can
absorb a big amount of liquid, so theyabsorb flavors nicely. They are widely
used in Asian cookery, although they are more commonly employed commercially in
the making of cerealsand rice snacks in Western countries. Many Asian markets
and specialty businessessell rice flakes.

What isdifference between rice and rice flakes?

White rice ispolished to the point where all of the nutrients and fiber are
removed. Poha, on the other hand, is lessprocessed and easier to boil and
digest. Poha is the ideal breakfastfood because it contains around 70%
nutritious carbs and 30% fat.

Is rice flakesgood for weight loss?

It is composed ofapproximately 75% carbs and 25% fat. Furthermore, it is high
in dietary fibers, making it an excellent choice for weight watchers. If you're
trying to lose weight, poha for breakfast is an excellent choice because it
keeps you full and prevents hunger pangs.

Benefits:

Plentiful of carbohydrates    Valuable source of iron    A good probiotic

Q8           What is the ideal blood sugar level? Is 200 blood sugar normal
after eating?

A8           Sugar level Answered by KARTHIK KKPC Sat

A blood sugar levelless than 140 mg/dL(7.8 mmol/L) is normal. A reading of more
than 200 mg/dL (11.1mmol/L) after two hours of eating food  indicates diabetes.
A reading between 140 and199 mg/dL (7.8 mmol/L and 11.0 mmol/L) indicates
pre-diabetes.

Regardlessof when you last ate, a level of 200 mg/dL (11.1 mmol/L) or higher
suggestsdiabetes, especially if you also have signs and symptoms of diabetes,
such as frequent urination and extremethirst. Fasting blood sugar test.

Blood glucose iscommonly considered too high if it is higher than 130 mg/dl
before a meal orhigher than 180 mg/dl two hours after the first bite of a meal.
However, mostof the signs and symptoms of high blood glucose don't appear until
the bloodglucose level is higher than 250 mg/dl.

My note- A lot of researches are done in the field.Today  I had consultation
with a nearbymiddle aged diabatologist, he was explaining how the lantus
insulin is functioning and how it has to beused. Though the Lantus was
prescribed to me  before  10 years by a senior diabatologist, the
properfunctioning he did not tell other than 50% of it to help the glands to
produceinsulin and remaining to  regulate bloodsugar levels. Today thedoctor
could explain how the insulin spreads and functions in 24 hours time, how the
effect gets reduced by 16 -18 hours etc.

Earlier period diabeticswas detected by ants come to eat sugar in the urine.
Now ants rarely come nearthe urine of a diabetic person. ON insisting strict
low blood sugar level of below100  fasting has now changed to 120. SimilarlyPP
has now fixed about 200.

Q9           Why is the world running out ofcooking oil? Can't they use coconut
oil or just bake instead?

A9           Jonathan Trueman Cooking - and lovingit - since I was 8.May 16

Qu'ils mangent dela brioche, eh?

What the world is running out of, or at least is veryshort of, is sunflower
oil: a light, clean cooking oilwith very little flavour of its own and a pretty
high smoke point. This is because some evil prickdecided to invade Ukraine,
which produces a staggering 40% of the world'ssunflower seeds for oil
production - or did, before Dobby the HouseElf went to war. Worse yet, Russia
is the second biggest source at 26%. That's 2/3 of the global supplygone.

What's mostly beingsubstituted - at least here in the UK - is what's coyly
called ‘vegetable’ oil, because‘rapeseed' sounds bad. In the US, it's known as
canola. It's cheaperthan sunflower oil but more people are allergic, it's
slightly lessflavour-neutral, and it has a lower smoke point. The differences
are small butthey do matter for some applications(and allergy sufferers).

What nobody is is using as a direct replacement iscoconut oil because the
cheapest stuff over here is four times the price ofsunflower oil, makes things
taste faintly ofcoconut, and aaagh the cholesterol. Some things are nice with a
hint of coconutflavour but not, for example, shepherd's pie.

And you can't bake everything. Baking is not frying;it yields different
textures and, often, different flavours. You can't bakefish to a battered
crunch without overcooking it, or stir-bake thin-cut chickenand vegetables
without drying them.

Q10         Why is Anna Nagar more beautiful,well-developed and uncongested
than other places in Chennai?

A10         Dhanush Koteeswaran Lives in Chennai,Tamil Nadu, India4y

The area of AnnaNagar is a fine example of post independence development of
Madras. During the1920’s the West Madras region comprised the Aminjikarai,
Naduvakkarai andPeriyakudal villages. Part of Aminjikarai became shenoy Nagar
in the 1940’s anda part of Naduvakkarai became Anna nagar in the later 1950’s.
It was thencalled as west Madras neighbourhood plan. Anna nagar was mainly
developed by the Tamil Nadu HousingBoard in the 1960’s.

The 1968 IndianInternational Trade and Industries Fair brought Anna nagar under
the limelight.Until then, it was a quaint, silent village and not well known.
Around 60 Internationalstalls were set up and almost all countries
participated. The iconic tower parkthat was constructed during the expo remains
the area's landmark. Now, thissleepy town started to transform into a bustling
locality.

Anna nagar had been developed on a planned grid format ofresidential blocks in
alphabetical order characterised by individual houses, spacious roads, streets
with no dead ends, amplefootpath space, earmarked commercial zones and
recreational parks for allblocks. It follows a very organised layout where all
roads run parallel andperpendicular to each other, making it very easy to
navigate and givedirections. Roads running from east to west are given even
numbers and oddnumbers are given for roads going from north to south.

But today, the area is full of multistoreyed flats with little demarcation
between commercial and residential zones. It is a very accessible area with two
bus terminals, one in the west and theother in the east side of the area. It is
in close proximity to CMBT busterminal as well. The latest addition to the area
is the Chennai metro railline, Which connects the area with the airport and the
central railway stationas well.

Electricity andwater are mostly reliable and well regulated in Anna nagar,
which is one of itsmost attractive features. In addition to the parks there are
premium schoolsand colleges in its vicinity, which is very advantageous for
families and thepresence of major hospitals along the EVR road makes it a
senior citizenfriendly neighbourhood as well

In many ways Anna nagar is still a laid backneighbourhood with quiet bylanes
and leafy avenues. This is the part of the city which affords all luxuries of a
metropolitan yetis so tranquil and peaceful

My note- Many parts of suburban areas around Chennai arenow developed in
planned manner. Not to comparewith wealthy people  occupied posh Annanagar,
still newlydeveloped areas like  my ModelMadampakkam  and East Tambaram Camp
roadarea  are well planned and developed, but occupied by all classes of people.
There areno huts, roads are 90% cleaned and kept, well laid, especially there
is no longqueue before water taps, RO water is supplied free  in the early
morning in all streets in my area.
