Q1            How doesthe 10-lane Bangalore-Mysore Expressway reduce travel
time by half?

A1            SakkathBengaluru Answered by Vibhakar T Fri

Bengaluru-Mysuru road was always one of the busiest roads inthe state. In
2000s,there used to be 4 lanes for travelling between the two cities. Backthen,
it was enough to accommodate all the vehicles.

But lately, the traffic has only got heavier. More vehiclestravel through the
route, which demands for a wide highway. And hence, theproposal for 10-lane of
the highway came up.

The route betweenBengaluru and Mysuru is such that there are a lot of economic
and culturalclusters in betweenthe two cities for about every 20–30 kilometres.

Bidadi - Being close to Bengaluru, it has a lot of travellerstowards the city.

Ramanagara - A district headquarter.

Channapatna - Known for toys production.

Maddur - Famous for its Maddur vada, a food/snack item.

Mandya - A district headquarter.

Srirangapatna - A historical town with a lot of temples andother tourist
attractive places.

In the earlier 4 lane highway, there were nobypasses. Hence, a distance of
about 130–140kms used to take more than 4 hoursof travel time.

Now the new highway would be of 10 lanes. It not justprovides extra lanes for
the vehicles, but also consists of bypasses over all the above
mentionedclusters.

If we consider Kengeri to Mysuru as the route, only then thetravel time would
be nearly halved.

Before the construction of the highway, it used to take about3 hours from
Kengeri to Mysuru. Sometimes, even more. With the new highway, bydriving at a
speed of around around 70-80kmph, the travel time between Mysuruand Kengeri can
nearly get halved.

Q2            What isdangerous when blood sugar crosses the 200 level?

A2            RajinderBhalla,I am working on One Cure for All Diseases for last
20 yearsWed

Blood carries nutrients to all cells of the body. Blood sugar (glucose) is a
nutrientfor cells.

In the first stage when the blood sugar increasesthe blood will not be able to
deliver the nutrients to the nerves which aresmallest.it seems that nerves in
skin are smallest.

When there is a problem with blood sugar, blood pressure orheart disease, the
skin health deteriorates.

There are lot of other indications which proves that upto300 only skin or less
important organs are effected.

Beyond 400 vital organs like kidneys and liver will startgetting effected.

So there is nothing to worry if blood sugar reaches upto 200or more. You still
have lot of time to mend your ways and be healthy again.

Hydration dehydration cycles and walk and rest routinesincrease the metabolic
rate in few hours. Low metabolic rate is the cause for all diseases and
healthconditions. More details about hydration dehydration cycles and walk and
restroutines are given in my Quora profile

Testimonials of the patients are there on my youtube channel. These are in the
form of unedited mobile recordings of the patients. Each patientsrecordings run
into 10s of hours starting from first call till he is completelycured.

My note- Simple explanation. Body shows signs of itchingespecially in legs.
Forprotection of kidney costly medications are there, which cannot be afforded
byeven middleclass people.

Q3            How deepare skyscrapers in the ground?

A3            Hector PoeArchitect Sat

For example, let's take the tallest building in the world atthe moment - Burj
Khalifa, located in the UAE (828 m)

The foundation of Burj Khalifa was designed as apile-and-slab foundation. The
3.7 m thick slab is something like a flower withthree petals. The slab rests on
192 so-called "hanging" piles with adiameter of 1.5 m and a length of 43 m,
which are not fixed in the rock becausethe Emirates are located in the desert.
Even at a depth of 50 meters, the soilthere is relatively soft.

So, the depth of the foundation of a Burj Khalifaskyscraper is about 50 meter

Q4            Willopening a window damage an air conditioning unit?

A4            FelixFernandes, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, GPP PUNE
(Graduated 1970)1h

Weather permitting, it is always more economical to open a window to free airin
your living quarters and it will definitely have no effect on the
airconditioning unit that can be kept shut when not required.

My note- If any problem occurs in AC unit, the personssleeping will not be
suffocated because the opening of window. I write thispoint in my answers. For
the last 15 years I use AC in bed room and onewindowpane is partially opened.
Ofcouse I ensure insect screen is closed.

Q5            Why dopeople of Tamil Nadu eat mostly rice?

A5            BhuvanaRameshwar,Born and bred a S. Indian Updated 2y

We people of Tamil nadu eat a lot of rice. This is because rice grows wellin
our state. We have been eating rice for thousands of years sinceour people
(Dravidians) settled in and around the rivers of Tamil nadu.. namelykaveri,
vaigai, bhavani, palar, thamarabharani …South India especially was home to a
few of thetypes of the first wild rice, although there are accounts of such
rice growingin China (3000 BC) S. E . Asia, West Africa too.

Paddy cultivation goes back to the 5th century BCE in Tamizhnadu .

The climate, clayey soil, the rivers and the winter monsoonsaid rice
growth.Besides rice is good for us as it is hot in TN. Wheat is for cool places.

We love our rice which is non fragrant and blends well withall our sambhars,
gravies and curries. It forms an excellent combo with curds. We also make lime
rice, Puliyogare, pilau, veg rice, idly, dosa, pongal, murukku, adai, rice upma,
athirasam, paniyaram, modak, kozhukattai and otheritems with rice. A daywithout
rice is incomplete!

My note- recentstudies have proved there is not much difference between eating
rice and wheatfor diabetics.

Q7            Which isthe most worthless currency in the world?

A7            RohitVirmani, Knows English Thu

Somalia currency hasbecome so worthless, that to buy a simple Smartphone you
have to carry themoney in a wheelbarrow 🤔

The currency is so devalued that people wander the marketswith wads of paper
money in their bags. Wheelbarrows, trolleys are often usedto move piles of
banknotes from one street to another. Women have to carry themoney in
wheelbarrows to do the market/ shopping.

In this countrytransporting money is more difficult than exchange/ transfer of
goods.

Gradually, Somali language and Shillings are disappearing.English is becoming a
formal language in Somalia. And US Dollar is becoming the local currency

Q9            Does theUK have a better train system than Ireland?

A9            NicholasStone, Extensive life long interest in public
transport.Aug 4

The UK has a more extensive railway network with morefrequent services than
Ireland. This reflects the size and population of the UK. Train fares in
Irelandare usually better value than in the UK and with a simpler fares
structure.Both network are nationalised.

Many UK cities are connected by intercity trains with atleast hourly
departures. The only intercity service in Ireland which approximates is on the
Dublin toCork mainline. Only Dublin and Cork have urban rail services, with
Dublin theonly city in Ireland with trams. Across number UK conurbations, there
arenumerous tram and local passenger rail network.

Ireland has a single state owned rail provider - IarnródÉireann. In the UK,
there are number passenger railoperators - which havevarious government
ownership and controls with complex, costly and convolutedfares.

To help with the current cost of living crisis, the Irish governmentcut long
distance bus and rail fares by 20%. By contrast, the UK governmentincreased
most rail fares buy 4% in 2022.

The intercity one wayfare from Dublin to Cork is typically €25 advanced
purchase or €33 forimmediate departure. This is a distance of 266 km, with a
journey time of 2 hrs 40 minutes. Acomparable journey is from London to
Sheffield, where one way fares vary fromtypically £37 advance purchase or £110
for immediate departure. As you can, UKtrain fares are more expensive.

Unlimited travel byall modes of transport in Dublin for 90 minutes is just
€2.00. There is noLondon equivalent offer - other than the 60 minute bus fare
of £1.65.

Q10          How didKarnataka become the largest coffee-producing state of
India?

A10          Vibhakar TS Lives in Bengaluru, Karnataka, IndiaThu

A Sufi saint named 'Baba Budan' introduced coffee beans inIndia. Hailing from
Yemen, he visited Chikkamagalur district ofKarnataka and planted coffee beans
in the hill station, which is known by hisname today.

So coffee has a rich history in Karnataka. There was theculture of coffee
cultivation since years in the state.

Coffee came to Indiain 1670, much before the East India company got
established. From then, the coffee productiongot extended to neighboring
districts in Karnataka like Kodagu and toneighboring states like Kerala and
Tamil Nadu.

The three abovementioned states dominate India's coffee production today.
Karnataka accountsfor 53% of the country's total coffee production. On the
other hand, Kerala andTamil Nadu account for 28% and 11% of the country's total
coffee productionrespectively.

India produces 8200 tonnes of coffee yearly. Indian coffee issaid to be the
finest coffee grown in the shade rather than direct sunlight. Most of India's
coffee isexported to countries like Germany, Russia, Slovenia, Belgium, USA,
Japan,Spain, France, Netherlands, Greece, Italy and other countries.

There are approximately 25000 coffee growers in India. Mostof the coffee
growers in India are small growers. Nearly 98% of the coffeegrowers in India
are small growers, whose land is about less than or equal to 4hectares.

Apart from the three major coffee producing states of India, many other states
like AndhraPradesh, Orissa, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura,
Nagaland, andArunachal Pradesh also produce coffee.

The coffee in India is grown mostly during monsoon season.Especially in the
three major south Indian states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu andKerala, they're
extensively cultivated in monsoon. Hence, the Indian coffee isusually termed as
"Indian monsooned coffee".

Arabica coffee isextensively grown in India, followed by Robusta. The Arabica
and Robusta arethe two major typesof coffee beans that are unique in their own
way.
