Very interesting! basic Majority fear: Hormonal I do not think so: ' Sūtra 2.9 [Abhiniveśa—fear of death] स्वरसवाही विदुषोऽपि तथारूढोऽभिनिवेशः ॥ २.९ ॥
*svarasavāhī viduṣo'pi tathārūḍho'bhiniveśaḥ *|| 2.9 || (9) As in the ignorant so in the learned the firmly established inborn fear of annihilation is the affliction called *abhiniveśa <https://www.wisdomlib.org/definition/abhinivesa#hinduism>*.Lastly, the most important *kleśas* is *abhiniveśakleśa* which is strong desire to live which dominates even the learned. Karmbelkar has broken the Sanskrit <https://www.wisdomlib.org/definition/sanskrit#hindu-philosophy> word,as *niveśa <https://www.wisdomlib.org/definition/nivesha#hinduism>* is *ni* (down into) and *veśa <https://www.wisdomlib.org/definition/vesha#hinduism>* is ‘entrance’ and ‘ *abhi* ’ means ‘thorough’. So, literally meaning is ‘thorough entrance into’. So, related to life processes it means ‘that thing or force which has deeply entered into life of an individual.’ ‘If life is full of misery, then why such person is not commiting suicide. But the more miserable man is,the more hopeful he is about tomorrow.A happy man has nothing to hope for.’He suggests,[3] <https://www.wisdomlib.org/hinduism/book/yoga-sutras-study/d/doc628722.html#note-e-172835> for transformation, suicide and *sādhanā <https://www.wisdomlib.org/definition/sadhana#hindu-philosophy>* are two alternatives. But if one commits suicide, another body with same mind will be born. But with *yogasādhanā*, annihilate the mind, and then there is no coming back. Osho further says that clinging to life in *abhiniveśakleśa* makes man a begger. Sigmund Freud was a neurologist. His theory was based on Darwin’s theory of evolution. He defined, nature of conscious experience as–thinking, feeling, sensation, discrimination memory etc .and they are of trivial importance on human personality. He stated that the unconscious determines the human behavior. The unconscious forms two kinds of instincts called as the instinct to live and the instinct for death. This is *abhiniveśakleśa*. In Western culture, there is belief in one incarnation only. The body is preserved after death, with an idea, that at the time of ‘the last day of judgement’ by the Almighty, the body will be woken up. In Eastern culture, the principle of rebirth exists, so after death body is burnt or destroyed. Death is a part on continuous process, which is known as cycle of life and death. Infancy, childhood, youth, middle age, old age, death of the form, existence after death and rebirth. This is contiguous chain of events. Vyāsa <https://www.wisdomlib.org/definition/vyasa#hindu-philosophy> and Vācaspati <https://www.wisdomlib.org/definition/vacaspati#hinduism> have said that fear of death comes from the memory of earlier deaths in previous lives.Every human being is possessed by this fear of death. *Abhiniveśa* is a will to survive in human form. 2 ANOTHER KIND OF FEAR WHERE NATURE DOES FUNCTION ON TIME: "KATOPA NISHAD: 2 3 3भयादस्याग्निस्तपति भयात्तपति सूर्यः । भयादिन्द्रश्च वायुश्च मृत्युर्धावति पञ्चमः ॥ ३ ॥ bhayādasyāgnistapati bhayāttapati sūryaḥ | bhayādindraśca vāyuśca mṛtyurdhāvati pañcamaḥ || 3 || 3. From fear of him, fire burns; from fear, the sun shines; from fear, *Indra* and Wind; and Death, the fifth, speeds. Shankara’s Commentary:Com.—How the world lives from fear, of him, is explained. The fire burns from fear of him, the lord of all; the sun shines from fear; from fear, *Indra* and Wind; and Death, the fifth, runs; for, if *Brahman* did not exist as controller of the competent protectors of the world, like one with the thunderbolt uplifted in his hand, their well-regulated activity, as that of the servants trembling from fear of the master would not be possible. 3 प्र । हि । क्रतुम् । वृहथः । यम् । वनुथः । रध्रस्य । स्थः । यजमानस्य । चोदौ । इन्द्रासोमा । युवम् । अस्मान् । अविष्टम् । अस्मिन् । भयस्थे । कृणुतम् । ऊँ इति । लोकम् ॥ R V 2 30 6 pra | hi | kratum | vṛhathaḥ | yam | vanuthaḥ | radhrasya | sthaḥ | yajamānasya | codau | indrāsomā | yuvam | asmān | aviṣṭam | asmin | bhaya-sthe | kṛṇutam | oṃ iti | lokam // “Indra <https://www.wisdomlib.org/definition/indra#hinduism> and Soma <https://www.wisdomlib.org/definition/soma#hinduism>, eradicate the worker (of evil), whom you hate; be the encouragers of the liberal instrumental tutor of the rite; protect us in this plural ce of peril, and make the world (free from fear).” 4 अस्पर्शयोगो वै नाम दुर्दर्शः सर्वयोगिभिः ।योगिनो बिभ्यति ह्यस्मादभये भयदर्शिनः ॥ ३९ ॥asparśayogo vai nāma durdarśaḥ sarvayogibhiḥ |yogino bibhyati hyasmādabhaye bhayadarśinaḥ || 39 ||39. *This* Yoga, *which is not in touch with anything*, *is hard to be attained by all* Yogis (*in general). The* Yogis *are afraid of it*, *for they see fear in it where there is really fearlessness*.Shankara Bhashya (commentary)Though1 such is the nature of the knowledge of the Supreme Reality, yet it is described in the Upaniṣads2 as *Yoga* not in touch with anything; for, it is free from all touch implying relations (with objects). It is hard to be attained by the *Yogis* 3 who are devoid of the knowledge taught in the Vedānta philosophy. In other words, this truth can be realised only by the efforts culminating in the knowledge of *Ātman* as the Sole Reality. The *Yogis* shrink from it, which is free from all fear, for4 they think that this *Yoga* brings about the annihilation of their self. In other words, the *Yogis,* being devoid of discrimination, who, through fear, apprehend the destruction of their self, are afraid of it which is, in reality, fearlessness. ( Mandukya upanishad) Thus fear is harmonal if trained as it is for everything; Tirukkural said ANJUVADHU ANJAMAI PEDAMAI VIZ WHAT SHAALL BE FEARED AS IN THE ABOVE VERSSE, YOGIS AND SOME OTJHER FEAR WHICH IS GOOD FEAR IS A MUST. BUT NOT ALL SHADOWS.
