A member thinks so: "all (jewellery)of them were kept in the bank locker
and she wore cosmetic jewelry of Rs 2000 at her wedding and reception. She
is going away to the US with her husband who is a citizen there and I
wondered how she will take it and how will she access it or at the end how
will her heirs come to India to take it.
How do people actually take jewelry when they travel?
Owning any asset is good or bad as one thinks. As long as one lives
heer, one has to do all things only as samarpanam to HIM. Where the
ownership and possession and acquiring the assets, earning any income, is
only to survive, the real needs and for the society (oorni neer
niraindatrevan ulagu....perarivalan tiru) , the action of the acquisition,
will not be from immoral sources. Ladies create their defences better than
the planning of the men. They are not in the existence with us, just to
hold the dharbai, as some fools are thinking; they want to die ahead of
husbands; they want to live , for the sake of kids, even after his death;
they live long to take care of the whole family and persons, who mistreated
her; so she knows that all the currencies and lands on earth, will be
pledged so easily by the foolish , incapable husbands; so she would lend
for the needs out of her body she might wore, kept in the locker or the
tamarind pots. For her every Gram counts. She would buy even a gm; but men
will wait for the sovereigns to accumulate. So Jewellery of women is
important to women even if she is educated and living abroad. The world's
women love jewellery whether 14 ct or 22 ct. Maybe Indians have closer
affinity because of the customs. Ladies have the rights to property of her
mother. Jewellery, if accounted for, has no problems here or there; and
wearing one can be taken in; lots of flat lockers-boxes are available
there; she could come to India with false 14 cts and goback with the 22 cts
in many trips even if acquired out of black money. By will and nominations
she can get all of them back fully explained as from the dead-parent, and
with the RBI approval and conditions may transport. 120,000 dollars is not
that big and many Indians do have it all over. KR IRS 161122
