Apart from my UKImoto, another idea is thrown around; ideas are to be tried undoubtedly. And the definition at the bottom perplexed me. Religion is not knowing; it is not a degree; it is to be felt by oneself. Religion that was felt is a religion; and that one felt by many is under the name of some religion. And that which was made to be tried was the shruti here , hence no author; but that was experienced by so many and subjected to the experiment and revealed back. So it became the path of life and named later by another group as Hinduism. However, similar individual flashes that were transported to people, which were recorded after many years, embedded with the rules became the religions. By all means, one has to endure the experiences as so many did like Ramana, and cannot escape, because I do not not have the knowledge. Unless we try, we cannot understand. It is a kind of hunger and appeasement through the food spread as cooked by so many, in front of you, BUT ONLY YOU HAVE TO EAT , to appease the hunger.
