Q1 Which profession in India does notget the respect it deserves? A1 Naresh Kumaraswamy, Inquisitive, inlove with Applied science and Lateral thinking; As unique as anybody else! Updated7y My dinner lastnight had eggs being supplied from Namakkal, rice harvested from Karnataka, wheat from Punjab, milk from Gujarat and I'm here in Maharashtra. Not tomention each and every thing around me has somehow been integrated by somemagical means. Ever wondered who got all these together! It'd totally not be exaggerating to say thatTruck-drivers are invariably the backbone of the Indian economy(or almost any country's economy) for that reason. But almost none of them seem to get the respectthey deserve. As a matter offact, most truck driversare uneducated (that is most important reason why they chose theprofession in the first place), most of them are beedi smokers and eventually are alwayslooked down by the society. I seriously am cluelessas to what can be done to improve their position in the society. A truck driver in the western worldis just another profession which is respected as much as any other professionand paid equally (In-fact marginally more covering up for the risk factorand the odd timing they have to work). My note- Most of them are alcohol drinkers. But Idon’t think they are paid less in south India. They have associations and well paid. Q2 Why do diabetic person get sleepyafter meal? On the alternativehand, if blood sugar degrees are too low, the frame can also additionally launchadrenaline to elevate them, which also can purpose drowsiness or fatigue. Additionally, a few diabetic medicines also can purposedrowsiness as a facet effect. It`s nice to seekadvice from a health practitioner or diabetes educator to decide the purposeand a way to nice control it. My note- I am diabetic, and if blood sugar level isgetting lower, aninstinct comes to me to wake up and consume items with sugar/ salt.So I keep ready such things before going to sleep and at least once a fortnightconsume them. When blood sugar level becomes normal, an instinctnot to consume more also comes to me. After it I get good sleep. Q3 What are some interesting facts abouthuman biology? A6 Kitchen Help for Woman,CEO atKitchenhelpforwoman.com (2022–present)Oct 14 When designing akitchen, one of the most important considerations is where the kitchen sinkwill be located. It's always important to keep in mind that the sink should be as far away fromthe edge of the counter as possible in order to avoid creating a hazard. If the sink is too close to the counter, it could easily become dirtyand cluttered, and it may also be difficult toclean. On the other hand, if the sink is located too far away from the counter,it may be difficult toreach for items on top of the sink. Ultimately, it's up to you and your specificneeds as a homeowner to determine where exactly to place your kitchen sink. My note- If the sink is close to edge, there ispossibility of cleaning/washing water spill on the floor. On the other hand ifit is away too much bending is required. So, if the sink is close to outeredge, spread a cloth below before cleaning and washing and wear apron to avoidcleaning chemicals falling on body. It should be away from stove. How far thesethings are practicable in a small flat is questionable. Q7 What are some simple household hacksto save money? A7 Rama G,Bachelor of commerce fromAndhra University College of Science and Technology Mon Generally wheneverwe feel sick or discomfort with some health issues we consume prescribedtablets. We don't botherfrom which side we are picking tablet from the strip. After using a few if we don't require further medication,we keep them back. After few days if we or any family members require those, wepick it up and give them after checking the expiry date. But, we fail many times to find the expiry date and throwthem away. Without checking that it's dangerous toconsume. We can't keep track of all the medicines manufacturing and expirydates. The printed date of expiry is not clearly visible, sometimes completely missing since we started taking the tablet from the placewhere that date is printed. Generally it's a smallprint also. I am also not anexception. Few medicines I keep for emergency purpose always. Later, I will beforced to throw out half used tablets if expiry date is not visible. Some timesI cut that used part of the strip also so, they can be accommodated easily inthe box.🤦 Then I visitastrologer to find their expiry date. (Parrot or tarot card reader, I know I amexaggerating). I mean a lot of struggle to remember when I bought it. Finally memoryfumbles, I am scared to consume them, then I throw them in to dustbin. Medicine and money both arewasted. Some medicines are really , really expensive. I feel very bad then. Once I observed, anelderly poor patient came to my uncle( doctor) and asked him showing fewprescriptions, what medicine was written on those dates. He brought half used tabletsalso. He could not read the prescription. Medical shop fellow was very busy.He is unable to see the expiry date. Whether they are still usable or not? Each tablet cost around 130rupees at least some 6 to 7 tablets were left in the strip. Luckily my uncleremembered when he prescribed and other details. So, that poor elderly personcan use them still. Escapedbuying them again. My uncle thoughbusy, explained him patiently since he is aged and poor. Told him, he should not start takingtablets from the expiry date side.Otherwise he should write with a sketch pen their expiry date clearly on onecorner of the front side of the tablets. It's a lesson to mealso. Then onwards I started carefully observing the backside and use them inan order, sparing the manufacturing and expiry date part till the end. If I geta doubt, I write the expiry date on front side of the strip. That way manytablets were saved from going in to waste because of mishandling when we needthem. Any way, I will behappy if my emergency tablets were not used . It means I am maintaining a goodhealth. Haha. But, if I can't usewhen I need to though I have it with me is called bad management. Isn't it? I should requestsomeone or order again or should go there myself to buy again. I know many knowthis simple thing but this post is for careless people like me. My note- One shouldalways keep more than sufficient medicines while going out of station. RecentlyI had an occasion, keeping few tablets for 2-3 days and went out of station. I thought the medicine will be available there. Itwas wrong. One important medicine was not available and for that reason return backto home. Q10 What is one place you were reluctant togo for a meal, but after eating there continued to have your food there? A10 Vijaya Lakshmi, Knows about most of theIndian foods.3y TarigondaVengamamba Anna Prasada Kendram/Anna dana satram at Tirumala. It is a place wherefood is served to pilgrims for free (need not pay anything for food)irrespective of the financial status on Tirumal hill. Tirumal hill is located in Tirupati city in Chittoordistrict of Andhra Pradesh. I am not going towrite much about Tirupati, because the question requires some otherinformation. This Anna Dana Satram was established during the tenureof late shri. N.T.Ramarao way back in 1985. It serves food to50,000 people per day on average. For details please refer the link http://www.tirumala.org/SRIVENKATESWARAANNAPRASADAMTRUST.aspx Now I return to theanswer: >From 1985, we had been to Tirupati for more than 30times, but never been to >this annadana satram and had meals there. My husband and mewere under the impression that, owing to the large number of people eatingthere, the hygiene might be compromised. We always had the prasadam(foodoffered to God) which was given at the temple as our main meals, uphill. Weusually returned immediately after darshan(entering sanctum sanctorum) We had been to Tirupati last week. This time wedecided to stay there for complete two days. So just surviving on prasadam wasnot feasible. On the first day wewoke up at 3.30 in the morning and came out of the temple at 10 am. We were tootired and hungry to explore a new eatery. This Anna Dana Satram was at five minutes walkingdistance from the temple. Husband wanted tohave Lunch there. But I was a bit reluctant. I was not sure how hygienic theplace would be with large number of people constantly going there. But when we entered the place, we were flabbergasted! There were two levels in the building. On ground floorthey serve food on tables on a banana leaf, while in first floor it was ‘buffetsystem’. Approximately fivehundred people were eating there at a time. In spite ofcontinuous flow of people the place was spick and span. There was not evensingle food crumb either on the floor or on the tables. There was not a singlefly. The tables were dry and clean. Perfect queue was maintained. There were noofficial staff there. All the work is done by volunteers with smiling face. The food was piping hot and tasty too! My reluctance vanished in a minute. We decided to haveour three meals during our 2 days stay there. I noticed anotherthing while having my meals there. From (financially) very rich people to verypoor people sit in the same row and have their meals. We automatically destroy our ego wheneating there. I thought I wasblessed to discover the place.
