And do we care equally for the true personalities?. അതിജീവനത്തിന്റെ വഴിയിലെ ആ ആദരവ് പക്ഷേ മലയാള സിനിമയിലെ അതിജീവിതയോട് ഇന്നസെന്റ് കാട്ടിയില്ല. സിനിമ എന്ന തൊഴിലിടത്ത് തന്റെ സഹപ്രവർത്തക ആക്രമിക്കപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ സംഘടനയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ഇന്നസെന്റ്നെ പോലൊരാൾ ഉണ്ടായിട്ടും അവൾക്ക് ലഭിക്കേണ്ട നീതി കിട്ടിയില്ല. അത് പ്രതിഷേധാർഹമായിരുന്നു. ദുരവസ്ഥകളിൽ നിന്നും അതിജീവനം എത്ര കഠിനമായ യാത്രയാണെന്ന് ഇന്നസെന്റിന് അറിയാത്തതല്ല. അർബുദത്തേക്കാൾ കഠിനമായ ദുരവസ്ഥയായിരുന്നു തൊഴിലിടത്തെ സ്ത്രീപീഢനം എന്ന 90 വയസ്സ് കഴിഞ്ഞ മലയാള സിനിമയുടെ മാറാവ്യാധി . അവിടെ ഇന്നസെന്റ് നിശബ്ദനായി. അതിലെനിക്കുള്ള പ്രതിഷേധം മരണത്തിന്റെ വേദനക്കിടയിലും മറക്കാനോ പൊറുക്കാനോ കഴിയുന്നതല്ല. മരണം പകരുന്ന വേദനയുടെയും വേർപാടിന്റെയും ദുഃഖം ഈ തെറ്റിന് ഒരിളവല്ല. ആ ഇന്നസെന്റിന് മാപ്പില്ല. ആ കൂടെനിൽക്കായ്ക ചിരിയ്ക്ക് വക നൽക്കുന്നതല്ല.

Even though there was someone like Innocent at the helm of the organization when her colleague was attacked in the profession of cinema, she did not get the justice she deserved. It was objectionable. Innocent is not unaware of how hard it is to survive adversity. The malady of the 90-year-old Malayalam cinema of 'women abuse at work' was worse than cancer. Innocent was silent there. The protest in me cannot be forgotten or forgiven even on pain of death. The pain of death and the grief of separation are no measure of this error. That innocent has no pardon. That inconsistency does not allow for laughter. To the loving memory of Innocent, who became laughter in the cancer ward, Goodbye dear friend.
