Q1 Why dodogs bark at cats?
KR Why G is always barking at KR? Thequestion is similar to that.
Every specie has a rival and show their sounds@vocal cords. The answer is
heshyam, a hunch, unsupported by solid vent. All animalsand Human are
territorial based only. That is why even though residingsomewhere, they get the
affinity to their cast, creed, race and language. Tomand Gerry cartoon if seen
one can understand instead of wasting on gossip.
Now what exactly the science and research say about? "Dog-cognition
researchers do not study 'intelligence' per se; welook at different aspects of
cognition," Alexandra Horowitz, a senior research fellow whospecializes in dog
cognition at Barnard College in New York. "Atits simplest form, cats are smart
at the things cats need to do, and dogs atdog things," she said. "I don't think
it makes any sense at all totalk about relative 'smarts' of species."
"Askingwhether a dog is smarter than a cat is like asking whether a hammer is a
bettertool than a screwdriver — it depends on what it was designed for,".
Animalintelligence is typically divided into three broad areas:
problem-solvingability, concept formation (the ability to form general concepts
from specificconcrete experiences) and social intelligence.

- apples and pears.
- citrus – oranges, grapefruits, mandarins and limes.
- stone fruit – nectarines, apricots, peaches and plums.
- tropical and exotic – bananas and mangoes.
- berries – strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, kiwifruit and
passionfruit.
- melons – watermelons, rock melons and honeydew melons.
Nowhere I saw that term; apart from this there are about adozen vegetables
classified as fruit.

Q1 Why do dogs bark at cats?
A1 Animal Lover, AnimalLover | Dog Lover | Cat Lover | Loving Husband9h
Dogs and cats have a longhistory of being mortal enemies. Even though there are
many instances where cats and dogs coexistpeacefully, there are still many dogs
out there who bark at cats. In thisarticle, we will explore the reasons why
dogs bark at cats.
Firstly, it is important tounderstand that dogs are territorial animals. They
have an instinct to protect their home and their family, whichincludes their
human owners. When a dog sees a cat in their territory, they view it as a
potentialthreat. Therefore, the dog barks at the cat to warn it to stay away.
Secondly, dogs areinstinctively programmed to be hunters. They have an instinct
to chase andcatch prey. When a dog sees a cat, it may perceive it as prey. The
dog's instinct is to chase and catch the cat, which may result in the dog
barking at the cat.
Thirdly, dogs may bark at catsout of fear. Some dogs may be afraid of cats due
to a negative experience they may have had in the past. For example,if a cat
scratched a dog, the dog may develop a fear of cats and bark at themas a way of
protecting itself.
Fourthly, dogs may bark atcats out of excitement. Some dogsget overly excited
when they see other animals. This excitement can manifestitself in barking. The
dog may not necessarily be barking aggressively, butrather out of excitement.
Fifthly, dogs may bark at catsout of frustration. Dogs aresocial animals, and
they thrive on interaction with other animals. When a dogcannot interact with a
cat, it can become frustrated and bark as a way ofexpressing its frustration.
Lastly, dogs may bark at catssimply because it is a learned behaviour. If a dog
grows up in an environment where it sees other dogs barking atcats, it may
learn to bark at cats as well. This behaviour can be correctedthrough training
and socialization.
In conclusion, dogs bark at cats for a variety of reasons. It is importantfor
pet owners to understand why their dogs are barking at cats so that theycan
address the underlying issue. Training and socialization can go a long wayin
preventing dogs from barking at cats. Additionally, pet owners should
alwayssupervise their dogs when they are around cats to prevent any
potentialconflicts.
My note- I have not seen a stray cat and stray dog together so far.
Theinformation is new to me. Probably those who meet who domesticate dogs/cats
togethermeet with them might have experienced the behaviour.
Q3 Is a banana a fruit or avegetable? Why?
A3 Weights Loss Diet, HealthDirector | Loving Father | Business
Director10h
A banana is a fruit, not avegetable. It is classified as a berry, which is a
type of fruit that develops from a single ovary and has multipleseeds. Bananas
are one of the most popular fruits in the world, and they aregrown in tropical
regions all over the globe.
There are several characteristicsthat make bananas unquestionably some fruit.
First, they have seeds, which is adefining characteristic of all fruits.
Additionally, bananas grow on trees, which is another trait shared bymost
fruits.
Bananas are also an excellent source of nutrients, including vitamins, minerals,
and fibre. They are particularly high in potassium, which is animportant
nutrient for keeping healthy blood pressure and heart function.Bananas are also
a reliable source of vitamin C, vitamin B6, and magnesium.
In addition to their nutritional value, bananas are a versatile fruitthat can
be used in a variety of ways. They can be eaten raw as a healthysnack, or they
can be used in a variety of recipes, such as smoothies, bakedgoods, and
desserts. Bananas are also commonly used in baby food and as anatural sweetener
in recipes.
Despite their popularity and versatility, bananasare sometimes confused with
vegetables because of their appearance and the waythey are used in cooking.
Like many fruits, bananas are typicallyeaten raw or used in sweet dishes, such
as banana bread and banana pudding. However, they can also be used in savoury
dishes, such as curries and stews, which may lead some people to mistake them
for vegetables.
In conclusion, a banana is a fruit, not a vegetable. It is a type of berry that
holds seeds and grows on trees. Bananas are arich source of nutrients and can
be eaten raw or used in a variety of recipes.Whether you're enjoying a banana
as a healthy snack or using it to sweeten yourfavourite recipe, this versatile
fruit is sure to add flavour and nutrition toyour diet.
Q4 Do washing machines needvoltage stabilizer as led tv?
A4 Vatsal Talati, ElectricalEngineer6y
Yea Washing Machines do need Voltage stabilizer if it’s not embedded init by
company itself.
First, let me clear the myththat led TV's needs voltage stabilizer.
No, led TVs in fact none of the electronics items require voltagestabilizer
that is because in their power circuit we already have SMPS (switchedmode power
supply) whose function is to reduce the incoming 230V to either 12Vor 24V based
on the requirement.
So, speaking Electronics don'trequire 230 V for their operation. So, whether
incoming voltage to our house decreases or increases thereis no pronounced
effect on this electronics appliance. Just amount of currentwhich they were
drawing will increase or decrease based on voltage increases ordecreases. Best
example for this is of Electric bulb, as voltage goes down, amount of current
which it draws decreases and thus its intensity becomes dim.
Though we need to take care of this electronic appliances from voltagesurges or
spikes. Voltage spikes damages our power circuit (one in which SMPSis included)
of electronic devices without damaging other parts.
Why Washing Machines requiresVoltage stabilizer:
Now Washing Machines are designed to run on rated supply voltage andrated load
and that is when their efficiency is maximum.
Now Washing Machines have motorincluded in them to spin the clothes (that is
load), so based on the load (noof clothes to clean) motor will draw specific
current from the supply.
Now under normal operating condition at rated voltage and at the nominal
load, motor will draw rated current from the supply. Now suppose as
voltagedecreases, but still our load is same so power requirement to spin it is
stillsame and thus as voltage decreases, current drawn by motor increases to
spinthe load. As a result, temperature of Armature windings of motor increases
and this may burn out themotor.
That's why Voltage stabilizeris required for loads especially wherein motor is
included.
Though 5℅ up or down fluctuation of voltage from its rated value isallowed for
most of the appliances. Also, now a day with most of the appliancesspecific
wide range of voltage variation is mentioned and appliance will workperfectly
fine within that range.
I have mentioned 230V as rated considering Indian standards.
Q5 What is something onelearned as a doctor that they never taught in
medical school?
A5 Tiny Nair, Cardiologistat PRS Hospital, Trivandrum Updated 5y.
I had finished my MBBS and was pursuing MD in internal medicine in one ofthe
best government colleges in Kerala. Clearing the tough MD entranceby merit gave
me an aura and self-pride, which comes along with the name tagand the white
coat of a fresh graduate.
I was posted in a ward at the back of the main building. A middle-agedman,
admitted with some innocuous illness collapsed, his breathing was heavy,an
obvious sign of cardiac arrest. I quickly started cardiac massage with chest
compression and basicCPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation). Other residents and
the dutyregistrar quickly joined me.Initially we got back pulse, put him on a
trolley and rushed him to the cardiacICU, which was little far away, continuing
intermittent chest compression andoxygen. Despite our heroic measures, the
patient was continuing to bebad and struggling to breathe, with feeble pulse.
Every staff in the ICU wasrunning; the senior-most nurse in the ICU (almost on
the verge of herretirement) was watching all our efforts.
She suddenly stepped in and said, “can you just hold on for a moment?”
She opened the patient’s mouth, extended his neck, and in one swiftmovement
introduced a Magills forceps (a large holding/catching device) intothe
patient’s mouth. She pulled out the denture that the patienthad swallowed; that
was the reason for his choking.
It was not a cardiac arrest, just that he had choked on his loosedenture.
The man became quiet; the heroic doctors silent, and everyone heaved asigh of
relief. After mumbling some kind of apology and ‘thank yousister’ I left. The
weight of my degree suddenly felt like a burden, the whitecoat too
uncomfortable.
What they didn’t tell me in medical school was that degree cannot
matchexperience.
Today, as a senior consultant, during our ICU rounds, if I feel thepatient is
fine and can be shifted out, I ask the duty nurse whether it is OK to shift out
thepatient or not. After all, I see the patient for 10 minutes twice a
day, while the nurse spends the entire day with the patient. I may know
moreintricate biochemistry and pathology, but she has better intuitions about
thepatient.
**Take her judgement intoconfidence too; believe me, it is good to believe her.
**Edit - Thanks Kavya Bhat for the spelling correction.
Respected friends-** If these natures were with two of our friends, ourgroup

Q6 Do all commercial jetshave four engines?
A6 Vishnu Ravi, AviationEnthusiast | Content Creator 18h
It is a common misconceptionthat all commercial jets are equipped with four
engines. The number of engines varies depending on the typeand purpose of the
plane. While four engines supply greater power, enabling theuse of commercial,
cargo, and military planes, they also entail highermaintenance costs.
Eachengine needs regular inspections and servicing, accounting for nearly half
ofairliner maintenance expenditures. Consequently, airlines may find itless
appealing to keep four engines.
Initially, many jet airlinerswere equipped with four engines, but current
passenger jet designs tend to favourtwo engines.
For instance, the Boeing 787 andAirbus A350, both of which were recently
introduced, are two-engine planes. The only commercial plane currently being
producedwith four engines is the Boeing 747, while the Airbus A340 and
double-deckerAirbus A380 are other examples. However, owing to their
inefficiency, thenumber of these planes in service will gradually decline over
the next decade.
In conclusion, notall commercial jets have four engines, and the number of
engines employeddepends on the intended use of the plane. While four engines
offergreater power, they also involve higher maintenance costs, making them
lessattractive to airlines. The trend in passenger jet development is towards
twoengines, as seen in recent designs such as the Boeing 787 and Airbus A350.
TheBoeing 747, Airbus A340, and A380 are the only commercial plane
currentlyequipped with four engines, but due to their inefficiency, their
numbers willdecline over time.
Q7 What is one thing thatdoctors will never tell you?
A7 Tiny Nair, Cardiologistat PRS Hospital, Trivandrum 6h
The couple belonged to a richfamily, inheriting a huge business empire.
No one told me that his BMW came from Olympia Park, Munich, his Rolexfrom
LesAcacias, Geneva.
I was unaware that her ‘De Beers’ diamond earrings were imported fromOrapa
Mines at Botswana, her Burberry handbag from Scandicci, Italy.
All I could make out was thather perfume was just out of the world, making its
way to my nostrils throughthe intricate barriers of the N95, beating the strong
smell of disinfectant.
I took a deep breath.
Our world, filled with blood, body fluids and formalin, looked, andsmelled so
different from theirs. I smiled and asked them to sit down. Despite the wealth,
the couple never flaunted it and was always nice andcourteous.
The wife had a littlehypertension and they wanted to consult someone ‘well
known’. That’s what broughtthem here.
As the wife was helped by the nurse on to the examination couch, thehusband
started a casual conversation.
‘Now a days everything is so commercial. You know doctor, I had cough, may be
COVID, and I saw a senior physician in a top corporate hospital. Thedoctor took
blood tests and x ray and told me that he suspected some infection.Tests, after
tests were done, CT scan, MRI scan everything and finally, nothing. Rare fungus
tests, even TB tests were done. All normal. Every test wasnormal. My cough
subsided withsome ayurvedic cough syrup. Do you know what? I wasted 30,000
rupees, and everything was negative. Well, I agree that I can afford it, but
what awaste of money.’
I put on my best professional smile, whatever little was visible beyondthe N
95, and went ahead to check his wife’s blood pressure.
As I examined her, I felt an enlarged thyroid gland, which felt unusuallyfirm
to touch on both sides of her trachea (windpipe). Looked suspicious.
‘How long is this swellingthere?’ I asked.
‘Swelling? What swelling?’
She was obviously unawareabout it.
A neck ultrasound scan confirmed an enlarged thyroid gland. Theendocrinologist
did an FNAC (Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy - aspiratingminiscule number of
cells from the thyroid with a thin needle).
The result next day wasshocking. It showed ‘anaplastic type thyroid cancer’,
one of the worst types ofthyroid malignancy with a poor outcome.
The luxury of the BMW, the checks of the Burberry, the shine of thediamond and
the status of the Rolex, suddenly didn’t matter anymore.
Life is much more precious, desirable.
A negative report is not awaste of money. Celebrateit, you have good health. A
diagnosis of a rogue cell or a micron sized clotcan change your life.
Many problems in life comes because of our lifestyle or actions. Youdrink and
then drive at reckless speed, and you may bike accident. You try toclimb a
hill; you might fall and fracture your leg. You drink heavily, you canget liver
cirrhosis. You don’t care for your blood pressure; you have a higherchance to
get a cerebral haemorrhage.
But even if you do everything right, always go by the rulebook, be
pious, religious, rich, popular, nice to everyone, yet there is no guarantee,
that youwill not land up in a bad disease.
And then and then only you realize why our stinky, unclean, noisy world,
matters. Go, celebrate a negativereport. With or without a BMW.
Q8 What is the differencebetween BHP and CC?
A8 Pradeep Tanavade, Degreein Automobile Engr. in Cars and Automobiles
& Weight Loss, Guardian AngelHigher Secondary School (Graduated 2004)5h
BHP (Brake Horsepower) and CC(Cubic Capacity) are two different measurements
used to describe the power andperformance of engines.
BHP refers to the amount ofpower an engine generates at the flywheel. It is a
measure of the engine's output power, measured in horsepower, which stands for
the power that is available to drive a vehicle's wheels. BHPis usually measured
using a dynamometer, which is a machine that simulates theload placed on an
engine when it is running in a vehicle.
On the other hand, CC refers tothe total volume of air and fuel mixture that an
engine's cylinders candisplace. It is a measure of the engine's size or
ability, expressed in cubic centimetres. The greater the CC value of an engine,
the larger its cylinder capacity, and the more power it can potentially produce.
In summary, BHP refers to the engine's power output, while CC refers tothe
engine's cylinder capacity. While there is a correlation between thetwo, they
are not interchangeable measurements and serve different purposes indescribing
an engine's performance.

plantain.
Q10 Why are web browsers free?
A10 Digital Services andProducts, Business Consultant | Digital Marketing
Services | IT Guru22h
Web browsers have become an integral part of modern life, allowing usersto
access and navigate the World Wide Web. Most web browsers are available for
free, and this may leadsome people to wonder why they are free. In this
article, we willexplore some of the reasons why web browsers are free.
1. Competition: One of the keyreasons why web browsersare free is competition.
There are many web browsers available, and each onewants to attract as many
users as possible. Offering a free browser is a way toattract users who may not
want to pay for a browser.
2. Revenue from search engines:Another reason web browsers are freeis revenue
from search engines. Most web browsers have a default searchengine, and the
search engine pays the browser provider a fee for each searchconducted through
the browser. This can be a significant source of revenue for thebrowser
provider.
3. Revenue from advertising: Inaddition to revenue from searchengines, web
browsers can also generate revenue from advertising. Many browsersdisplay ads
on their home page or in search results, and the browser providerearns revenue
from these ads.
4. Branding: Offering a freeweb browser can also help buildbrand awareness for
the company that supplies the browser. By offering a freebrowser, the company
can increase its visibility and build a loyal user base.
5. Platform lock-in: Another reasonweb browsers are free is platformlock-in. By
offering a free browser, the company can encourage users to use itsother
products and services. For example, a browser provider may offer a freeemail
service or cloud storage service that is integrated with the browser.
6. Open source: Some webbrowsers are open source, which means that the source
code is available for anyone to view and change.Because the browser is
developed by a community of developers, there is no needfor the browser
provider to charge for the browser.
In conclusion, there are many reasons why web browsers are free.Competition,
revenue from search engines and advertising, branding, platformlock-in, and
open source are all factors that contribute to the availability offree web
browsers. Regardless of the reason, the availability of free webbrowsers has
made the internet more accessible to people around the world.
My note- I have seen Firefox asking for donation for existing and I paidmy part.
