The Aitareya Brahmana gives a more detailed account of the theory of
creation ( which manifestation is coined as creation) on the Line: It
says, “Prajapati desired to be propagated and multiplied”. As explained,
Prajapati exhibited fervor and created the worlds, the earth, the
atmosphere and the sky. He (prajapati) brooded over the worlds from which
Agni (fire), Vayu (air) and Aditya (sun) were born. Agni sprang from the
sky, Vayu from the atmosphere and Aditya from the sky. Then the luminaries
were created by him. After that, the Vedas took shape. The *Rgveda* sprang
from Agni, the *yajurveda* from Vayu, the *Samaveda* from Aditya, etc. {
KR This is the reason I write that the opening is only Rigvedam and all
others are contemporary} (Agni is first Rig vedam from it; Vayu later so
rest go) According to *Kausitaki* *Brahmana*, heat was produced by
Prajapati when He underwent penance. (KR And Brahmam was in penance as per
RIG Veda Nasadiya suktam Potential energy) There evolved Agni, Vayu,
Aditya, Chandrama (moon) and Usha (dawn). Prajapati then ordered each of
them to undergo penance for His propagation and expansion.

Shell theory of Creation of the Universe:(Hiranya Garba)

This theory holds that the creation started from a cosmic nucleus,
known as Prajapati (Brahmam), the maker of the Universe. This nucleus is
often named as *hiranyagarbha* or golden-egg, which is considered as the
source of the existence of all mundane and heavenly entities because it
contained fire (heat) within itself. In a philosophical hymn of the Rgveda,
the sun is regarded as an important agent of the creation of the living and
nonliving elements. Actually, the sun (the representative of Agni) (Agni
mele puro...) is sometimes glorified as a great power of the Universe under
the name of the ‘*golden embryo*’ or *hiranyagarbha*. The cosmic nucleus
was covered by a shell that was offering resistance for its expansion.
According to the Rgvedic episode initially everything was concentrated
inside the golden-egg. Vrtra, a demon which represents inertia, could not
allow the motion, i.e., the creation. Indra threw his Vajra on Vrtra and
the demon was killed. (Indra killing Vrthrasura) The inertia was eliminated
and the creation started. Due to the action of Vajra on Vrtra, a huge sound
with lightning was created. This is known as the *Mahajagatika* explosion.
The flash of brilliant light so produced spread over the sky giving birth
to the material world in the form of tiny particles moving at random. This
is our modern Big-Bang Theory of creation of the Universe. Evidently, the
vedic theory of creation of the material world represents our modern
Big-Bang Theory of creation of the Universe. KR IRS 1623
