Translation: Birth in a lower caste or high caste does not determine one as a Shudra, Nor is tapas (austerity) or yajna (sacrificial rites) the exclusive domain of a Shudra. Knowledge of Vedanta (scriptural knowledge) or realization of Brahman (ultimate reality) is not limited to a Shudra, So, what is the caste of a Shudra, or what is a family for that matter? Note: This verse challenges the traditional notion of caste divisions and emphasizes that one's worth and spiritual potential should not be judged based on birth or occupation but rather on one's knowledge and actions. Whether wisdom is to be decided by the individuals. KR IRS 2723 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Thatha_Patty" group.
