Dear Mr Sekar,
Thank you for reading the QA and response about the point -when to quit with
the example of Vijay Merchant and Sunil Gayvasker.
Responses from members like you prompt me to be more selective in posting QA

WHO PREACHES ARE NOT GOOD FOLLOWERS THEY SAY. Q5 HOW COME THE RAMAYANA
AND MAHABHARATHA MISSED YOUR EYES BUT SOMETHING ELSE WHOSE MISSION, ONE WERE TO
HEAR? 1. One distinct difference in other hero’s stories is thepresence of a
coming of age or great transformation through learning and lifeexperience. Rama
is already 25, when his story begins and may be viewed as lessdynamic, but in
no way shows a less fascinating hero. Rama has already beentempered through his
development and makes decisions based upon the Hindubeliefs of self discipline
and compassion, which helps them to achieve a highermoral plane and honor
through commitment. At one point in “The Ramayana,” Ramaloses his self control
and lets his emotions run wild. Rama is at the point ofa breakdown, from the
loss of his wife, Sita, at the hands of Ravana and hasseemed to have lost hope.
This anguish seems to be his one weakness, similar tothat of his mother,
Kausalya, who believes she will surely perish at the lossof her son. She had
stated that she would follow him and abandon her husband, but in his belief that
this was unrighteous, Rama instructs her to stay and shetempers herself to do
so. Rama must take his own advice and work to achieve hisenlightened state,
once again, gaining his self control. Once directed by thenature that surround
him (animals as a collective), he is given hope, but isdetermined to wreak
havoc and spread hate upon the demon, which has taken Sita.Rama’s alter ego,
Laksmana, who is normally the aggressive and pragmaticcharacter, actually has
to advise and calm Rama and save him again from hiswild emotions. These trials
act as lectures to the temperament of all men andhow one should conduct
themselves. The ability to set aside ones emotions, suchas Rama and Kausalya
have done in this text, is examplirary to the compassionfor other and truth of
self, gained through temperment and understanding.
2. Arjuna is a noble man, who is chosen to represent adilemma that mankind
faces in every day battles as well as the tough decisionsone must make in their
lifetime. In the Bhagavad-Gita, Arjuna sees no apparentpoint in the battling
between kinsmen and asks of the point to Krishna. Itenfolds as a duty, which
must be fulfilled as it is Arjuna’s role in this lifeas a warrior to do so or
face shame. The action faced in war, such as killing,is not reflected as a true
sin, as it is not something that is sought ordesired, but is simply a necessity
to serve purpose. Achilles also serves hispurpose as a warrior and lives
without regret for the killing other men. He issimply fulfilling his duty and
lives by a code of honor that does not deemkilling in the name of one’s duty as
action requiring repentance. The portionof the code outlined by Krishna,
basically summarizes that actions arenecessary, but the intent is what
determines the effect on a persons’s soul andbrings the weight of sin. Krishna
states, “Look to your own duty,k do nottremble before it; nothing is better for
a warrior than a battle of sacredduty. The doors of heaven open for warriors
who rejoice to have a battle like thisthrust on them by chance. If you fail to
wage this war of sacred duty, you willabandon your own duty and fame only to
gain evil. People will tell of yourundying shame, and for a man of honor shame
is worse than death.”

I can't stop myself from responding to your Q 1 answer that says "Know when to
Quit".
I have read that Vijay Merchant, the famous cricketer of yore (and there is a
joke on his slow scoring but he was a good batsman known for his dour, dogged
batting) replied famously when asked why did he quit when he was still scoring
runs, thus
"I would prefer to quit when people ask me why, and not why not?"
There is a famous saying "Quit when the going is Good" and Vijay Merchant
followed that advice.
Another equivalent of the above saying is "Don't overstay your welcome".
Sunil Gavaskar also quoted Merchant's reply when he was asked why was he
retiring after his near century in his last test against Pakistan.
The advice is worth remembering and following.

Q1 Can you tell seven Rules hard to practice but valuable
A1 Elia Juniana,7h
Be aware of yourlimitations. Know when to stop, before it ruins you. Know when
to quit.
Don’t be open toeverybody. Not everyone is that deserving.
Don’t be too quickto criticize or appreciate someone.
Never get tooattached to anyone. Maintain a certain sense of distance no matter
how closeyou and someone is.
Never speak less. Never speak more.
Never trust anyoneexcept the family. Respect and listen to your parents because
they are the onlyreal well-wishers of you.
You don’trequire validation from others to confirm what you believe in, when
you knowyou are right.
Edit: Try toappreciate other's work.
Q2 How many miles can a cargo shiptravel in a day?
A2 Rebecca Williams, knows about boatsand ships Jul 10
It depends on several factors, such as the type, size, and propulsion system of
the cargo ship, the weather conditions, and the loadcondition of the ship.
The average speed of a cargo ship is between 12 to 20 knots(22-37 km/h). Some
cargo ships, such as vehicle carriers andcontainer ships, can travel faster
than others, such as tankers and dry bulkcarriers. The optimal cruisingspeed
for a cargo ship is usually 20-25 knots (37-46 km/h).
To calculate howmany miles a cargo ship can travel in a day, we need to
multiply the speed of the ship by 24 hours. For example, if a cargo ship has an
average speed of 15 knots (28 km/h), it cantravel 360 nautical miles (667 km)
in a day. This isonly an estimate and does not account for possible delays or
deviations due toweather, traffic, or other factors.
The fastest cargo ship in the world is the Emma Maersk, acontainer ship that
can reach a top speed of 33 knots (38 mph or 61 km/h) andsustain a speed of 29
knots (33.4 mph or 53.7 km/h).This means that it can travel up to 792 nautical
miles (1467 km) in a day. Suchhigh speeds are not economical or environmentally
friendly, as they consumemore fuel and emit more greenhouse gases. Most cargo
ships prefer to operate atlower speeds to save costs and reduce emissions.
Q3 Why don't airplanes have biggerwindows?
A3 Erika Fernandez, Experience inAviation Field Jul 7
While it might seemdesirable to have larger windows on airplanes for a better
view and naturallight, there are several reasons why airplane windows are
generallykept small. Airplanes are designed to maintain their
structuralintegrity even under extreme conditions such as high altitude, rapid
cabinpressurization, and temperature changes. The windows on an aircraft
arepart of the fuselage, and making them larger would weaken the overall
structure. The size of the windows is carefully balanced with the
structuralrequirements to ensure the aircraft's safety and durability.
Larger windowswould disrupt the smooth flow of air over the aircraft's surface,
creating dragand reducing efficiency. The smaller size of airplanewindows helps
maintain the desired aerodynamic shape, contributing to theaircraft's overall
performance.
The smaller size of airplane windows helps in preservingcabin pressurization.
Larger windows would presentchallenges in maintaining structural integrity and
preventing pressure leaks. The current window size allowsfor effective sealing
and ensures the cabin remains pressurized at highaltitudes.
Airplane windowsare made from special materials that are strong and resistant
to impacts, suchas bird strikes or debris. By keeping the windows relatively
small, their strength and ability towithstand such incidents are enhanced.
Larger windows would increasethe risk of damage from external objects and
potentially compromise passengersafety.
The windows on airplanes have multiple layers and coatingsthat provide
insulation against temperature extremes and help regulate heattransfer. Larger
windows would pose challenges inmanaging heat exchange and insulation,
potentially affecting passenger comfortand energy efficiency.
Some modern aircraft, such as theBoeing 787 Dreamliner, feature larger windows
compared to older models.
These largerwindows are made possible by advancements in materials and
structural design, while still ensuring the necessary strength and safety
requirements are met.

Q5 How not to lose hope?
A5 Neman Ashraf, Policeconstable(Pakistan) Updated 2y
Walking down thestreet, I came across thislittle guy few days ago. He was
sitting outside a shop; selling small toylights. Just looking at him I for some
reason paused there and looked athim.
I could sense, he was literally begging for money in theguise of selling stuff.
Still he caught my attentionand kept me thinking for him. After a minute of
looking at his impressionstowards every person who passed by and ignored him… I
went andleaned and actually sat alongside him.
Son, what is theprice of this. I started the conversation.
Sir, this one’s for 30, this is for 50 and this…. I’llgive you this for a 100.
He said showing me different lighttoys.
Okay, nice. I wantto ask you something if you don’t mind. Do you study? Do you
go to school? I asked.
His facialexpressions changed, suddenly he looked like the bear that is on to a
lonesalmon stuck in a puddle. He carefully and very respectfully answered.
No, Sir. I don’t. But I’ve taken admission and soon I’llbe going to school.
That is why I’m selling toys to come up with necessarytuition fee and money for
my uniform and books.
He was lying.
I knew it themoment he started mustering up that answer. Two decades in Police
service. I’ve either questioned orwitnessed interrogations of I don’t know…
thousands of people “and by people Imean real life culprits, thugs, thieves,
murderers, gangsters, robbers so on andso forth” and those experiences have
taught me a lot about identifying peoplewho lie to your face. Obviously this
kid stood no chance of foolingme.
I remained silentfor a moment, looking at him.
Then Itook out my wallet, and gave him 1000 rupees. His eyes werebright and his
smile was contented. Indeed, he wasn’t expecting to pull such afast one.
I stood up andsaid.
Son, I know you are lying to me,and that you do not intend to go to school. But
I want to advise you anyway, you should consider it. I understand you have a
family that needs you to workin order to earn daily bread and you should keep
at it. At the same time, Letme offer you a deal, if you decide to go to school…
I promise to take care of your tuition and every otherschool-related expense on
monthly basis. How does that sound?
His facialimpressions turned innocently pure for the first time. I’m no
mentalist but he was forthe first time imagining himself wearing a clean and
tidy school uniform, carrying a bag, and going to school in the morning just
like all the other kidshe knows in his neighborhood.
He looked at me in complete silence. He had no idea ofthe proper response. I
don’t blame him.
I gave him my phone number.
I want you tocontact me, whenever you decide to go to school, I’ll help you.
Having said that… Iwalked away.
So folks, I want you to look at thisinteraction from two different angles, not
only I made a fool out of myself byhanding him quite an amount but also
possibly committed for such an educationexpense that I couldn’t possibly afford
in the first place.
There’s was no hopeof him calling me, he was going to laugh behind my back,
spend the money andmost probably keep scamming people. On the other hand, if
had he called, I was to be put inan awkward situation to support a child’s
education. It is a miracle to endurethrough each month with the meager salary I
get being a cop.
Then whats with theblunder I made? Anyone would wonder.
The answer is, you do not lose hope. You arealive and willing to attract
betterment, success and prosperity.
But then again whatis hope actually? It is your expectation or desire for
“something” to happen.Well, the problem is… the world does not function as per
your desires…unless……… you put confidence, understanding and real effort for
that very“something” to happen. Then it is a different story! You stand a very
goodchance that way.
Yes, then that“something” can and will happen for you!
That kid hascontacted me, and his enrollment in a school has been done. I asked
a very goodfriend of mine from Norway to chip in for the good cause, and it has
been allmanaged. Voila!
No, hope will notturn you into a super human and break all the worldly barriers
for you, butwith effort, intention and belief… you’ll do one heck a good job.
ou’ll riseand You’ll shine. Now and again!
There are smelling flowers every where.
