A1         Gopala Krishnan, Former Asst. GeneralManager, Retired at Bharat
Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Just now

Inmost cases the broad band connection is given by franchise. The customer has
to give hisname and password to enter while the modem is activated, by visiting
thetelephone exchange/ customer care.

Afterit, while the broad band is connected to the computer, it is
automaticallyactivated.

If you are activating WIFI unit of Airteletc. byvisiting customer care, the
same is the procedure. The advantage of WIFI unit IS-  it works with inside
recharging battery.Even in power failure condition these units will function
with the Laptop.

Igave him water and somehow tried to ask him about his address so that I
canboard him in metro or taxi. He told he came in car but couldn't remember
wherehe has parked his car.

Itook key from him and started searching his car near road where other cars
wereparked. He only told me thathis car is red colored.

I went near cars and there were 4–5 redcars. I started checking by trying key

Theoldest bridge in the world still standing today is the stone single arch
bridgeknown as "Caravan Bridge" or "Mardin Bridge",located in southeastern
Turkey. It is estimated to have been built bythe Romans in the early 3rd
century AD.

Thecaravan bridge was built to serve as part of the ancient Roman road
system, which connected the citiesof Nisibis and Cizre. The bridge spans the
Tigris River and was a vital link inthe region's trade routes.

Q5         How were Roman soldiers disciplined inancient Rome?

A5         John Morse,4h

This little rock could end up being one ofthe scariest things you'll ever see.
Do you want to know why? Well, I'll tellyou.

Imaginethat you are a soldier of a Roman legion under the command of Marcus
LiciniusCrassus during the Rise of Spartacus. His forces under Mummy have
failed tosubdue Spartacus at Bruttium and the next day his officers line up the
cohorts. You have no idea what'sgoing on, but you and your entire group (500)
have just been split into groupsof ten.

HisPraetor announces that because his commanders disrespect my command and
hislack of courage and discipline in the battle against the slaves, he will
bepunished no less by the Tithe. Theranks are silent, some know this will mean
the end. When everyone in your grouppicks up a rock, they open their hand to
see this:

You sigh in relief but look at yourbest friend looking at his petrified hand
because he grabbed the white stone. Now you and theother eight who received
black stones were given sticks and ordered to killyour best friend or you all
die.

You and the other 8 beat your friendmercilessly until his brains fall to the
ground. You wipe the blood off your face and hearthe countless screams around
you and after a while the screams subside. 50 menwere slaughtered by their own
comrades that day.

This is the ancient Roman act calledthe Decimation.

It was used to "inspire" troopsto follow orders and not retreat or surrender.
However, this act did not die with Rome. The road wasmade well into the 20th
century. Punishment sees everyone, officers or merelyauxiliaries, as equals to
punishment. I'm sure that's why there haven't beenmany cases of the military
fighting this, even if I'm wrong. Think of it as a"death lottery" in a way.

Thiscan be brutal, but it has been shown to get results. unless your general is
anidiot because he just made a military mistake. (Cough) Marc Anthony
(Cough)General Luigi Cadorna.
