I relished and enjoyed Bavani . Many sportsmen and women come up from villages, Dalits, Non brahmins and Brahmins. As a president of the Athletic association of Tamilnadu, 3 young kids were brought out from the remote corner of south India, and were trained; We got from the association as well as where the rules did not allow, from our pockets to spend money . I was there for about 4 years. Later I was rushing towards my career and forgot. After a decade oneday HINDU sports page flashed a young girl by name AMUTHA doing so wonderfully. Later I was given to understand that the other two had also represented the university and entered the university on sports quota. So people are showing their prowess. Women are quite enterprising. Many Brahmibns were on the field in many games; we were not aware of them. We only may know Cheeka. I am a happy Brahmin girl. Purohit. But please remember when SUN TV says a dalit girl won the gold medal . Are we not criticising such news? let us feel happier and at the same time, let us not put any particular pressure on Brahmin Purohit etc as then we may have to accept the others' boasting also. Today brahmin women are playing cricket; volleyball; basketball; hockey; athlete; car driving; so on and so forth. We want Indians to win the olympic medals in bulk. KR IRS 26 7 23
