POOR BRAHMINS*

It is amazing to see that how fiction can become truth in course of time!

Let's examine truth based on facts and real history.

KR All said are true in good sense, however, a few things had to vbe
viewed in the right colour also.

*1.* To start with, there is not a SINGLE Brahmin God in Hinduism!

*2.* All Gods are from backward castes, dalits and tribals.

*3*. Brahmins never created the concept of Gods in Hinduism.

KR All were manifestation from the Brahmam who created the varnas
as revealed in Bhagavat gita (I created the varna”) Hence Brahmam do not
belong to any cast or Varna. B U below says , all GODs were created or
manifested in his Nirguna Roopa as the Saguna Roopa, on this earth; the
saguna brahmam, by birth is said to belong to a varna; however there are a
few Brahmin Gods also as Vamana and Dattatreya, an some worship them also.
GOD,s varna is incidental.

KR *Verse 1.5.1: Brahadaranyaka upanishad*

1. That the father produced seven kinds of food through meditation and
rites (I shall disclose). One is common to all eaters. Two he apportioned
to the gods. Three he designed for himself. And one he gave to the animals.
On it rests everything—what lives and what does not. Why are they not
exhausted, although they are always being eaten? He who knows this cause of
their permanence eats food with Pratīka (pre-eminence). He attains
(identity with) the gods and lives on nectar. These are the verses.

Ignorance has been discussed. It has been said in that connection that an
ignorant man worships another god, thinking he is different from himself,
and that prompted by desire, he, identifying himself with a particular
caste and order of life and being regulated by a sense of duty, performs
rites such as making offerings in the ñre, which help the gods and others
and make him an object of enjoyment to them. And as all beings by their
rites individually projected him as their object of enjoyment, so did he by
his performance of rites with five factors, such as making offerings in the
fire, project all beings as well as the whole universe as his objects of
enjoyment. Thus, everyone according to his meditation and rites is both the
enjoyer and the object of. enjoyment of the whole universe. That is to say,
everyone is alternately the cause as well as the effect of everyone else

*4.* There was not even a SINGLE Brahmin king that ruled India.

*5.* To be able to oppress others requires positions of power. Brahmins
were teachers, scholars, priests, advisors but not rulers.

2 KR There were many Brahmins kingdoms

Shunga dynasty, Indian ruling house founded by Pushyamitra is a brahmin.
about 185 BCE, which replaced the Mauryan dynasty. Pushyamitra assassinated
Brihadratha, the last Mauryan ruler, at a military parade and assumed royal
power.

After rajputs , muslims , south Indian and north east kshatriyas the most
no. Of kings and dynasties are of Brahmins.

1. Descendants of Rishi Shringa and Shanta , sister of Bhagwan ram ruled
anga Pradesh

.Today their descendants are rishiwanshi rajputs like Sengar Rajput are
direct descendant of them and had many kingdoms in the past

3. Suryawanshi kshatriya and chandravanshi Kshatriyas are descended from

3. Lanka was ruled by kuber , a brahmin.

4. Kuber’s step brother Ravana was a Brahmin king of Lanka

5. Ravana' brother Vibhishan was a brahmin king and his descendants ruled
Sri Lanka for many centuries .

[Now some of you may argue that mother of Ravana and vibhishan was asur so
they are asur or Half brahmin half asura

But she was asur kshatriya and son of kshtriya mother Brahmin Father is
considered brahmin.

Now coming to the asur part .

King yayati married devyani, a brahmin women but her varna was degraded due
to curse so she wasn't consider brahmin at the time of marriage and
therefore their son are considered kshatriya not suta (children of
kshatriya father Brahmin mother)

King yayati also married a ASUR kshatriya princess sharmishtha and their
son was puru .

Puru is considered as kshatriya and his descendants were Kauravas and
Pandavas.

So if puru , kaurav Pandavas are not considered asur but kshatriya so
Ravana and vibhishan are also not asura . They were instead brahmin kings
of Asura people .]

Chalukya of badami ( branch of kadamba Dynasty)

Eastern Chalukya

Western Chalukya

Chalukya of Vatapi

Chalukya dynasty of Kalyani

Chalukya dynasty of vengi

Chalukya dynasty of lata

Chalukya dynasty of navasarika

Chalukya vemulavada

Chaulukya dynasty

(All the chalukya dynasties descended from chalukya of badami . Today
Solanki Rajputs are descendants of chalukya . Since they were Brahmins from
origin but ruled as kshtriya for 5 centuries they changed their varna to
agnivanshi kshtriya now known as kshatriya rajput)

Maitraka dynasty of vallabhi

[maitraka us derived from Mithra /mitra . Some historians place them as
yaduvanshi kshatriya as came from Mathura but Mathura was ruled by Brahmins
from Shunga Dynasty

some claim them as Suryavanshi kshtriya as Mithra means son but except one
sun worshipper ruler all the other rulers of this dynasty were shaivites
like mitra and Shunga Dynasty

The reality is that they are descendants of mitra dynasty of Mathura and
mitra is not used as son fir the dynasty name but as a name of their
original dynasty.

There are evidence that a mitra prince after being defeated by gupta
dynasty was made governor of Saurashtra (gujrat ) whose descendants became
independent and founded maitraka dynasty of vallabhi.]

Guhila dynasty in which bappa rawal was born (and its branch sisodiya
dynasty of mewar in which Rana kumbha Rana sanga Maharana Pratap was
founded by guhadatta who belonged to the lineage of maitraka dynasty of
vallabhi

Later bappa rawal changed his varna From brahmin to kshatriya at Mount Abu
since his ancestors were living life of kshatriya since 1000yrs ( Shunga
Dynasty→Mitra Dynasty of Mathura — > maitraka dynasty of vallabhi -Guhila
dynasty )

All the pratihar dynasty are descended from harishchandra pratihar ,a
brahmin through his kshatriya wife .

Later their descendants claimed they are agnivanshi kshtriya/rajput .

Through his brahmin wife the children born were brahmin pratihar who ruled
pali city .

These Brahmins pratihar invited many Brahmins from all over the country .

Later the ruler of pali was selected by people ( Majority of population was
Brahmin)

Pali was under control of brahmins till 13 century and theses Brahmins of
pali are called Paliwals.

Pratihar Brahmins descendants are some of the Paliwal Brahmins

After bhagwan parshuram killed many kshatriya 21 times many Brahmin started
owning land and became zamindars and kings of small kingdoms

*6*. The Brahmins' traditional occupation was that of temple priest
(purohit), officiating religious functions. Their sole income was _biksha_
(alms) given by the landlords (non-Brahmins).

*7.* Another section of Brahmins were teachers, that too without salary.

*8*. Vedic literature was mostly written by non-Brahmins. The most powerful
of the dharma shaastra, that gives Brahmins a high status, is the
Manusmriti written by Manu, a non-Brahmin. Brahmin means a profession
(Varna) - not a caste.

KR True: The Gayathri Mantra everyday recited was from Viswamitra the
kshatriya. Vedas compiled by Vyasa the shudra as used to be contemptuously
described by a member but all brahmins if they don’t study, would be a
shudra as were at the time of birth. The word DWIJA is specifically added
only to who was born in a brahmin family as the rest were non-brahmins and
unnecessary to apply; certain vested interest depicted that word as twice
born; it is not; the Vedas clearly says that all the births in the Brahmin
family are only a shudra; by that yanjopaveeda alone 2ndtime, he takes the
birth as a brahmin and qualify to study the Vedas. So, it means even shudra
is qualified to do so.

*9.* If the reading and writing of Sanskrit was confined to Brahmins, then
how do you have the tribal Valmiki composing Ramayana? Ved Vyas, who
classified four Vedas and wrote Mahabharata, was born to a fisherwoman.

KR So, true. Today I had sent the latest research on Sanskrit, which
shows the original spoken language was Sanskrit. We write Pure Tamil or
Malayalam or any language as chaste. But when we do speak we eat away words
and shortens the forms; that is spoken language is a variable factor; that
was, Prakritham and manipravalam. Greek came out of Sanskrit only long
after.

*10*. Sanskrit was used mostly by non-Brahmin writers - there are very few
scriptures in Sanskrit authored by Brahmins.

*11*. We consider the teachings of Ved Vyas, Vashishta, Valmiki, Krishna,
Rama, Agasthya, Vishwamitra, Shrunga, Gowtama, Buddha, Mahavira, Tulsidas,
Thiruvalluvar, Kabir, Vivekananda, Gandhi, Narayana guru etc. as most
valuable.

*12*. If none of them were Brahmins, why cry out loudly that "Brahmins did
not allow you to learn?" There are numerous works on bhakti by non-Brahmin
bhakti saints.

*13.* Brahmins never prevented others from learning.

*14*. Brahmins were neither rich nor powerful at any point of time in
history. Pick up any old Indian story book, you will see _gharib_ Brahmin’
(Poor Brahmin) quoted as a virtue. (Remember Sudama-Krishna story?)

*15.* Though their profession was considered as highest stature of the
society, the Brahmin ascetics' only way of survival was alms given by
people.

KR There were a few rich brahmins also in the history

*16.* The biggest contribution of Brahmins is sustaining the best language
ever spoken in the earth - Sanskrit. If you learn English or Arabic, you
have commercial benefits.

*17*. Nobody ever promoted Sanskrit.Without any benefits, Brahmins took up
voluntary task of learning Sanskrit. Now you accuse them of monopoly in
Sanskrit!

Besides, Brahmins were not Kings. They didn't enjoy powers or had wealth.
They worked hard on gaining knowledge and led life of austerity. So there
is no question of exploitation by rahmins.

When population of Brahmins range from just 2% in Tamil Nadu to 12% in
Uttarakhand, how can they dominate the majority?

After reading all this can anyone blame Brahmins?
