Q1         How can I effectively clean greasykitchen surfaces and appliances
after frying?

A1          Ankit Sharma,Lives in New Delhi(2004–present)5h

After frying, cleaning greasy kitchen surfaces and equipment might be difficult,
but with theappropriate method, it is doable. The following advice will help
you remove thegrease:

1. Remove Extra Grease: Use a paper towel orsponge to wipe away any extra
grease or oil from the surfaces and appliancesbefore you begin cleaning. The
cleaning procedure will be easier to manage as aresult.

2. Hot, Soapy Water: Pour hot, soapy water into asink or a sizable container.
Use a dish soap that cuts grease or a few drops ofdish soap in the water. The
grease will be easier to remove as a result of thishelping to break it down.

3. Scrubbing Pads or Sponges: To clean greasysurfaces, use a scrubbing pad or
sponge with a non-abrasive side. The greasewill be lifted and made more pliable
by the scrubbing pad.

4. professional Degreasing Spray or VinegarSolution: To remove tough grease
stains, use a professional degreasing spray ormake a vinegar solution by
combining white vinegar and water in an equal ratio. The solution should be
sprayed or applied to the oily areas and then left tosit for a short while
before being removed.

5. Microfiber Cloth: To clean the surfaces andappliances, use a microfiber
cloth. When compared to normal cloths, microfibercloths are better at capturing
grease and dirt and creating fewer streaks.

6. Make a paste out of baking soda and water toremove grease stains that are
difficult to remove. Before scrubbing with asponge or cloth, apply the paste to
the greasy areas and let it sit for a fewminutes.

7. Clean the Vents and Appliances: Pay closeattention to the vents, range hood,
and any other appliances or surfaces wheregrease may have built up. Since
grease accumulation can impact these regions'performance, properly clean them.

8. Regularly change the cleaning water sincegrease can easily spread there and
reduce the cleaning water's effectiveness. If necessary, replace the soapy water
to maintain cleaning effectiveness.

9. Dishwasher-Safe Parts: If your removable partscan be cleaned easily and
thoroughly in the dishwasher, consider doing so.

10. Routine Maintenance: Use splatter guards orcovers to stop grease from
spreading, which will make cleaning up after fryingeasier. Additionally,
periodically wipe clean surfaces and appliances to avoidthe accumulation of
thick grease.

To protect your hands from grease and cleaning products, don't forget to use
rubber gloves while cleaning. Toprevent fume inhalation when working with
cleaning products and grease, the kitchenmust have adequate ventilation.

My note- With a good chimney more than 70% of grease  will be absorbed in fumes
and sentoutside. After frying ,the area will be messy. Chimney bottom plate has
to be cleaned–periodically.

Q2         Why do shipping containers havecorrugated walls and not plain walls?

A2          Rebecca Williams, MS in Accounting andFinance, New York University
Jul 6

Shipping containers have wavy or corrugated walls, instead of plain or flat
walls. This is not just for aesthetic reasons but forstructural and practical
reasons as well.

Corrugated metal is metal that has been bent into a seriesof ridges and
valleys, creating a wavy pattern. This process of corrugation makes the metal
stronger and more rigid, without adding much weight or thickness. Corrugated
metal can resistbending, buckling, denting, and twisting better than flat
metal, which isimportant for shipping containers that have to withstand a lot
of stress andpressure during transportation and handling.

Corrugated metalalso has other advantages for shipping containers. It
iscorrosion-resistant, which means it can last longer in harsh weather and
saltyenvironments. It is easy to install by semi-skilled workers, whichreduces
the cost and time of manufacturing and repairing shipping containers. It is also
easy to transport, as it can be stacked and nested together withoutwasting much
space.

Shipping containers are made of several structuralcomponents that work together
to maintain strength and rigidity.Corrugated wall panels are one of these
components, along with cargo doors, corner castings, twist locks, cross members,
marine-grade plywood or bamboo flooring, and the CSC plate. All these components
are essential for the safety and durability of shippingcontainers.
