Q1             Why are the cabin walls on a cruiseship so thin?

A1             RebeccaWilliams, knows about boats and ships Jul 22

The cabin walls on a cruise ship are so thin because ofseveral reasons.
Cruiseships are designed to be as light as possible, while still being strong
andsafe. The weight of the ship affects its speed, fuel efficiency, stability,
and maneuverability. Cruise shipbuilders use thin metal frames forthe cabins,
which reduce weight and save space. The metal frames are also fireproof, which
is an importantsafety feature.

Cruise ships havelimited space to accommodate thousands of passengers and crew
members, as wellas various facilities and amenities.

The cabins are one of the most space-consuming parts of theship, so they need
to be compact and efficient. By using thin walls, cruise ship builders can fit
morecabins on each deck, and offer more options and categories for
differentbudgets and preferences. The thin walls also allow for more
flexibilityand customization of the cabin layout and design.

Cruise ships are veryexpensive to build and operate, so cruise lines try to
minimize their costs andmaximize their profits. One way to do that is to use
thin walls for the cabins, which are cheaper andeasier to install and maintain
than thicker walls. The thin walls also reducethe material and labor costs of
the ship's construction and renovation. Thesavings can then be passed on to the
passengers in the form of lower fares orbetter services.

There are also somedrawbacks to having thin cabin walls. One is that they can
be easily damaged, especially if a passenger accidentally bumps into them.
Another is that they can allownoise to travel between cabins, which can be
annoying for passengers who aretrying to sleep.

Q2             What is the reason for the thickerwires in high power systems?

A2             InfoSage,Professional Maven16h

Reasons for Thicker Wires in High-Power Systems:

Reduced Resistance andVoltage Drop:Thicker wires have lower electrical
resistance compared to thinner wires. In high-powersystems, where significant
current flows, minimizing resistance is crucial toprevent voltage drop. Voltage
drop can lead to inefficient power transmissionand reduced performance of
connected devices.

HeatDissipation:Thicker wires have a larger surface area, allowing them to
dissipate heat moreeffectively. In high-power systems, where currents can
generate substantialheat, using thicker wires helps prevent overheating and
potential damage to thewiring.

Lower TemperatureRise:When high currents flow through a wire, resistance causes
the wire to heat up. Thicker wiresexperience a lower temperature rise for the
same current, enhancing theirsafety and reliability in high-power applications.

EnhancedCurrent-Carrying Capacity:Thicker wires can carry higher currents
without exceeding their ampacity(current-carrying capacity). In high-power
systems, where currents aresubstantial, using thicker wires ensures that the
wires can handle the loadwithout becoming a limiting factor.

Minimized VoltageRegulation:Voltage regulation refers to maintaining a stable
voltage level at different points in apower system. Thicker wires help reduce
voltage fluctuations caused by loadvariations, ensuring consistent power
delivery.

Compliance withRegulations:Electrical codes and regulations often mandate the
use of specific wire sizesbased on the power rating of the system. Thicker
wires may be required to meetsafety and performance standards in high-power
applications.

LongerLifespan:Thicker wires experience less stress and wear due to their
robustconstruction. This contributes to their longevity and reduces the need
for frequentmaintenance or replacement.

Lower ElectromagneticInterference (EMI):Thicker wires can help reduce
electromagnetic interference generated by highcurrents, which can impact nearby
electronic equipment and communicationsystems.

My note- Thicker wiresminimises snapping  due to storm etc.

Q3             Why is vitamin B12 so dangerous?

A3             DrChakweva, Dedicated & Determined - Visit my Bio Mon

Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient for the human body thatplays a critical
role in several important functions, including producing red bloodcells, DNA
synthesis, and nerve function.

Unfortunately, vitamin B12 can be dangerous if nottaken in the appropriate
dosage and at the right time.

The most common risk associated with vitamin B12 is anoverdose. Too much of
this nutrient can cause adverse effects likenausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, and
even serious health issues such as liver orkidney damage. VitaminB12 is also
unable to be adequately absorbed without certain acids found in thestomach or
intestine, which can make the consequences of an overdose even moreserious.

Another risk associated with vitamin B12 is the potentialfor interactions with
other medications. While vitamin B12 is generally considered safe, it can react
negatively with certainmedications, such as certain antibiotics and
chemotherapy drugs. Thus,it’s important to speak to your doctor before
combining vitamin B12 and anyother medications.

It’s also important to note that some people have a greaterrisk of developing a
vitamin B12 deficiency or experiencing an adverse reactionfrom taking a large
dose of this nutrient. People with certain healthconditions, such as pernicious
anemia, may have difficulty fully absorbingvitamin B12 from food, so they may
be more likely to experience an overdose.

In addition, vegans and vegetarians are at an increasedrisk for developing a
vitamin B12 deficiency, and thus, might requiresupplementation of this
nutrient. However, due to the risks associatedwith vitamin B12, it is important
that these individuals speak to theirdoctor about the appropriate dosage and
timing of supplementation.

Overall, it’s important to recognize that vitamin B12 is anessential nutrient,
but it’s also important to be aware of the potential risksassociated with
taking too much of it. Speak to your doctor for guidance on howto best
incorporate this nutrient into your diet or use supplementation ifnecessary.

Q4             Does the flight crew change after a5-hour flight?

A4             OdetteBishop, Cabin Crew Member (2018–present)9h

I worked a 7:50 flightyesterday from New York City to Berlin, Germany. We
obviously couldn’t just step out thedoor and leave, but on larger planes we
have something called crew rest modules.Sometimes they are above or below the
passenger compartments. After we have taken care of our main duties for the
flight, a portion ofour crew will go on rest, while the rest will stay on duty.
After their restperiod the other crew will switch and the next group will go on
rest….

Q5             What are the benefits of purchasingan RO plant from authorized
dealers compared to other sources?

A5             GopalaKrishnan,Former Assistant General Manager 1996-2004 at
Department of Telecom(1966–2004)Just now

First of all you get the correct product under bill andwarranty. Mostly prize
will be lesser than from other sources.

But we have to takeit home, get company/authorized person installer, and mostly
with A M C it willbe commissioned.

Other sources, mostlyprocure from dealers, bring, install and charge for all
work and cost together. Rarely, some may change new parts with old parts which
no one canrecognize. Recently Ichanged all internal parts with new one in my RO
system. Old and new lookedsame. Authorized service people will carry out
service better. RO service and installation is competitive in my place Chennai.
Service charges varyfrom 150–00 to 300. Aservice with 300-00 need not be better
than a service of 150-00
