Thanks Mani Sir. It is worth noting that we used to have this kind of excitement and expectations (in my opinion) ONLY during the 1. Cricket World Cup Final, if we reach it, when we forget our differences and the whole Nation comes to a standstill, nothing really moves. 2. War also unites us but as it is over a longer period, we never felt the electric atmosphere as is happens for a few hours in a cricket match. But things have started to change from 2014. The majority of the Nation watched the opening of the Kasi Vishwanath new corridor, the foundation laying ceremony of the Ram temple at Ayodhya and others - I am waiting with bated breath to see its Kumbabhishekam as it is not just a temple, but restores our National Pride and Honour. The outpourings of grief and National fervour at Gen Rawat's death has not been seen before; so much so even the Pakistani media wondered how an army General commands so much love, affection and respect. One wag there commented that it was because the Generals in India do not corner all the National wealth for them and their cronies and don't interfere with the democratic process. Chandrayaan 2 united us all but unfortunately the final moments were not what we expected, wanted them to be. But even there a crying Sivan Nair and Modi's consoling him touched our hearts; we all (except the leftists and the sickulars) felt a personal loss and wanted to be there to tell Sivan Nair and his team that the whole Nation appreciates their efforts and are behind them and to wish them success. *Hopefully Chandrayaan 3 will be a day of joy and National pride and thanksgiving* - to the Almighty, ISRO, our scientists and all those involved, including the political leadership for giving help and encouragement to them.
