Q1         Howcome Japanese people are able to fall asleep so easily within
minutes and takeshort naps on trains?

A1          Erhan Ethem, Lives in Japan Updated 4y

Being from the United States, Iwas SHOCKED when I saw so many people sleeping
on the train in Japan. Are thesepeople crazy? Someone could rob them, assault
them, kidnap their kid, or at thevery least, they could miss their stop!

I was on a packed train, everyseat was full, people were bunched together
standing, and they could all sleep!

What was going on? Maybe a gasleak?

Then I looked around the traincar at the people who weren’t sleeping.

Some kids in school uniforms, playing on their smartphones.

A businessman reading thenewspaper.

A woman with her sleeping child,on Instagram.

My heart rate began to slow asthe realization hit me… Everything is okay.

An announcement came on the PAannouncing the station. A few slumped heads
perked up, sleepily shuffled towardthe door, and got off. I was mesmerized as I
witnessed this phenomenon repeatstation after station.

When I arrived at my station Ilooked around at the people getting off, and
those getting on. There was no onewho made me become alert, or nervous. There
were no shifty eyes, no hiddenpurposes, no panhandlers, or deranged lunatics.
Just people who wanted to gohome.

So, to answer your question, Japanese people intrinsicallytrust each other.
They work hard, don’t get enough sleep, and view the trainride home as a rare
opportunity to do nothing.

They all seem to be looking outfor each other, while minding their own
business. It is a sight to behold.

Sweet dreams Japan.

Q2         IsTurmeric bad for your kidneys?

A2         Healthy Men, Men’s Health specialist Aug 10

Turmeric is often hailed for itshealth benefits, but itseffects on kidneys can
be a bit nuanced

.Turmeric contains an activecompound called curcumin, which has both antioxidant
and anti-inflammatory properties. These propertiesare generally beneficial for
overall health. However, some studies suggest thatcurcumin may have a mild
diuretic effect, which could increase urine production.

In people with existing kidney problems, thiscould potentially exacerbate
issues related to fluid and electrolyte balance.

Additionally, curcumin can interactwith certain medications and may interfere
with the proper functioning of thekidneys.People with kidney disorders or those
taking medications that affect kidneyfunction should exercise caution when
consuming large amounts of turmeric orcurcumin supplements.

For individuals with healthy kidneys, moderate culinary use of turmeric in
cooking is generally considered safe and can even offer potentialhealth
benefits.

Q3         Whatdo pilots do when their plane goes through air turbulence?

A3         Erika Fernandez, Experience in Aviation Field Jun 22

Pilots are trained to deal with turbulence, and they take a number ofsteps to
ensure the safety of their passengers.

Here are some of the things thatpilots do when their plane goes through air
turbulence:

Communicate with air traffic control: Pilots willcommunicate with air traffic
control to let them know that they areexperiencing turbulence. This will help
air traffic control to reroute other aircraft awayfrom the area of turbulence.

Adjust the aircraft's altitude: Pilots may adjust the aircraft's altitudeto try
to avoid areas of turbulence. However, this is not always possible,
asturbulence can occur at any altitude.

Reduce the aircraft's speed: Reducing the aircraft's speed can helpto reduce
the impact of turbulence. This is because theaircraft will be less likely to be
tossed around by the turbulent air.

Secure loose items: Pilots will ask passengers to secure looseitems, such as
laptops, drinks, and food. This is to prevent these items frombecoming
projectiles during turbulence.

Stay calm: Pilots are trained to stay calm during turbulence, and theywill do
their best to keep their passengers calm as well. This is importantbecause
passengers who are calm are less likely to panic, which can make thesituation
worse.

Turbulence can be uncomfortable, but it isnot usually dangerousQ. Thereare some
cases where turbulence can cause serious injuries or even death. Ifyou are
concerned about turbulence, you can talk to your pilot. They will beable to
answer any questions you have and give you more information about whatto expect.

Q4         Whatare the benefits of having a broadband and mobile connection
with BSNL?

Gopala Krishnan,Former AsstGeneral Manager, Retired at Bharat Sanchar Nigam
Limited (BSNL)0y

I have retired from B S N Lbefore 18 years. About three months back I took
Bharat fibre connection, Along with internetand phone connection, 90% it
functions perfectly.

Only thing to have phone connection andinternet without disruption , supply to
the modem must be from a U P S plugpoint.

Parallel connections threenumbers are provided without any extra wiring, other
than those existed withland line cable connected phone. It is feasible.

Regarding mobile connection, Ihave heard in the north eastonly B S N L mobiles
function. I have taken the connection before 12years. It functions perfectly.
Better have a  prepaid connection so that I S D calls arepossible, if required

Q5         Howhas Hinduism stayed alive?

A5         Jasbeer Singh,5y

Newton’s Third Law~

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

That’s the main reason forHinduism to stay not only alive but hearty and
healthy. Harder the suppressionstronger is retaliation, it takes no time for a
flower to turn into a thornybush.

Physical Assault:Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb started toying with theidea of making
India an Islamic country paving way for forceful conversions.

Physical Retaliation Shivaji maharaj thwarted all his attemptsand made him busy
in Southern conquests, this resulted in providing base forfuture Maratha Empire
once Mughals vanished

Educational Assault British Rule tried to impose theirdistorted version of
Hinduism to make the way easier for missionaries and tofill Hindus and other
Indian religions (including Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists) witha lowly feeling that
they belong to an unscientific backward faith.

Educational Retaliation Swami Vivekananda and Sri Aurobindo changed
theunderstanding of Hinduism and took the teachings right into the heart
ofWestern Civilization during British Rule, this resulted in future inflows
ofGurus and Swamis to share their snatani knowledge with Westerners. Today
Yogais practiced all over the World. No one is ashamed of being a Hindu and
anIndian.

Political Assault-Mr Jinnah proposed a two nation theory andwanted to include
entire Punjab (haryana, himachal), Assam, Bengal in Pakistanand make it Islamic
republic. He also tried to woo Princely states of Hyderabadand Junagarh,
Jodhpur.

Political Retaliation Made Pakistan look like a joke.Successfully included
Hyderabad, Junagad in India, didn’t allow entire Punjab,Assam and Bengal to go
to Pakistan.

Verbal Attack-Used India’s liberal ethos to make fun of Hinduismin India. When
asked politely to stop he challenged anyone to confront him todebate, Indians
tolerated for many years thinking someday he will stop but hedidn’t and used
his skills into recruiting youths for Terrorist relatedactivities (Now proved)

Legal Retaliation-Exposed him of his fake bravery, he is in no moodto debate
anymore and has ran away permanently to Malaysia hiding like afugitive.
Agencies Established his illegal terrorism related connections andactivities.

When attempts have been made tosupress Hindus specially with their religion,
retaliations have come with equalforce. Hence the legacy of Hinduism and India
lives on.
