Notes taking apps is if done for the sake of the individual taste, is not a waste at all; suppose Apps clippings i use regularly to take back is perfect and after use delete them; I have a lot of books; I have a lot of scanned papers from books I read in files with the book title; I have taken notes on my cell and laptop with quotes, and kept as files; I have a lot of videos, tapes, CDs and DVDs; I have kept them and my L/H are far away; I don't know how they will be backed up; but when I read, use them ; when I write I use them; (against these only idiots comment as they like without having read anything; idiots of the first order;people who has no knowledge shout and abuse as if from empty pots) So as far as I am concerned we cannot say it is a waste or useless. One may see in 2050 our juniors copying our write ups and reproducing all of them. Who knows my posterity may write books from my notes. Nothing is certain about life; everything may happen; and so many volumes of knowledge have arisen only of the so-called -supposed waste. KR IRS 51123
