Q1         What is a life changing lesson from a father to his son?

A1          Kaushal,Jun12

COWS DON'T GIVE MILK

A father used to say to his childrenwhen they were young: -When you all reach
the age of 12 I will tell you thesecret of life. One daywhen the oldest turned
12, he anxiously asked his father what was the secret oflife. The father
replied that he was going to tell him, but that heshould not reveal it to his
brothers.

-The secret of life is this: The cow does not give milk. "What are you saying?"
Askedthe boy incredulously. As you hear it, son: The cow does not give milk,
you have to milk it. Youhave to get up at 4 in the morning, go to the field,
walk through the corralfull of manure, tie the tail, hobble the legs of the
cow, sit on the stool, place the bucket and do the work yourself.

That is the secret of life, the cow does not give milk. You milk her oryou
don't get milk. There is this generation that thinks that cows GIVEmilk. That
things are automatic and free: their mentality is that if "Iwish, I ask..... I
obtain."

'They have been accustomed to getwhatever they want the easy way...But no, life
is not a matter of wishing, asking and obtaining. The things that one receives
are the effort of what onedoes. Happiness is the result of effort. Lack of
effort createsfrustration."

So, share with your children from ayoung age the secret of life, so they don't
grow up with the mentality that thegovernment, their parents, or their cute
little faces is going to give themeverything they need in life.

Remember -

"Cows don't give milk; you have to work for it."

My note- I have read elsewhere, the cowsin the wild produces only so much milk
which the calf can drink. It is our typeof feeding, cows produce more milk,
which we can milk. If the calf drink allthe milk the present day cows
domesticated, it may die ( I recollect the discussionin Engae brahmanan in jaya
TV)

Q2         Is it harder to take off or land a plane?

A2         ErikaFernandez,Experience in Aviation FieldJul 7

Landing a plane is generallyconsidered to be more difficult than taking off.
This is because the pilothas to slow the plane down to a safe landing speed
while also keeping italigned with the runway. If the pilot does not do
thiscorrectly, the plane could crash.

Taking off is also challenging, but it isgenerally considered to be less risky
than landing. This is because the pilot has more control over the plane when it
istaking off.

The pilot can use the throttle toincrease the plane's speed and lift to get it
off the ground. If the pilot doesnot do this correctly, the plane could stall
and crash.

Pilotsmust be able to land the plane safely in a variety of conditions,
including atnight, in bad weather, and with a full load of passengers.

Q4         Why didn't Greeks and Romans wear pants? Why didn't theylike them or
why did they consider pants barbarian clothing?

A4         PatrickS,I love history19h

The ancient Greeks and Romans, despite their flourishing civilizations and
remarkable contributions to art, literature, philosophy, and governance, had a
distinct fashion preference when it came to lowerbody garments. Surprisingly,
pants were not particularly popular amongthese ancient Mediterranean societies,
and the reasons behind this sartorialchoice are indeed intriguing.

To understand why the Greeks and Romans eschewed pants, we need to delveinto
the historical and cultural factors that shaped their fashion choices

.First and foremost, both societies developed in warmer climates, where
theweather was generally milder compared to the cold winters of northern Europe
orCentral Asia. As such, theirclothing options were adapted to suit the
prevailing weather conditions.

In the ancient Mediterranean, tunicsand robes were the prevailing attire for
men and women alike. The Greeks, known for their love ofathleticism and
physical activities, preferred to wear loose-fitting garmentsthat allowed for
ease of movement. The chiton, a simple rectangular tunicfastened at the
shoulders with pins or brooches, was a staple in Greekclothing. Similarly, the
Romans favored the tunica, a garment derived from theGreek chiton, which was
typically knee-length and worn by both genders.

The absence of pants in ancient Greek and Roman fashion can also beattributed
to cultural factors. These societies valued distinctsocial hierarchies and
norms, and clothing played a crucial role in reinforcingthese divisions.
Pantswere associated with the barbarian cultures of the north, such as the
Celts andGermanic tribes, who were seen as uncivilized by the Greeks and
Romans.Consequently, wearing pants would have been perceived as a departure
from theestablished social order and an embrace of foreign customs.

Additionally, the association of pantswith horse-riding further contributed to
their exclusion from everyday attirein ancient Greece and Rome. Horseback
riding was primarily associated withmilitary campaigns and warfare, and the
Greeks and Romans, while skilled incombat, did not place the same emphasis on
cavalry as some other ancientcultures. Consequently, pants remained primarily
functional garments for soldiers and horsemen, rather than fashionable items for
everyday wear.

Q5         Where does the bacteria in our digestive tract come from?

A5         “SilkRoad”,AI Expert Sep 30

We are not alone in ourbodies. We have trillions of microorganisms living
inside us, mostly in ourgut.

These are called the microbiome, andthey help us digest food, make vitamins,
fight infections, and do all kinds ofcool stuff.

When we are born we get theirfirst dose of bacteria from our mothers, either
through the birth canal orthrough breast milk. These bacteria help shape our
immune system andmetabolism.

Aswe grow up, we get exposed to more bacteria from the environment, the foodwe
eat, the people we interact with, and even the air we breathe.

Some of these bacteria stick around and become part of our microbiome, while
others just pass through.

Our diet plays a big role in determiningwhat kind of bacteria live in our gut.

Different foods feed differentmicrobes, and some foods can even change the
composition and function of ourmicrobiome.

For example, eating morefiber-rich foods can promote the growth of beneficial
bacteria that produceshort-chain fatty acids, which have anti-inflammatory and
anti-cancer effects.

Eating more processed foods, on theother hand, can favor harmful bacteria that
produce toxins and causeinflammation.

Our microbiome is not static, though. It can change over time depending on our
lifestyle, health conditions,medications, and age.

Some changes are good, like when we take probiotics to restore our gutbalance
after an antibiotic treatment.

Some changes are bad, like when we get an infection or a chronic disease
thatdisrupts our gut harmony.

Q7         Strictly in terms of evolution, why are children able toconceive at
12 or 13, but forbidden to until significantly later in life? Isthat just
social mandate, or is there a scientific reason?

A7         YvonneThompson,7h

WE NEED TO HAVE THE HOURGLASS or youdie… before you get a chance to live…

The growth hormones are still fusingand shifting the body and many of us don’t
get our adult hip structure foryears after first period.

Pregnancy, literally diverts everything to the baby, and geopardizes the mother,
nomater the species.. placental development, makes it easier for the mother to
goget food, but it also means that our nutrient requirements double or
tripple, while simultaneously wreaking havoc with our hormones and squashing
ourstomachs, leaving us in a state of anemia potential pregnancy related
diabetesand so on… and, if ourhips aren’t ready, the baby can’t come out.. when
the babycan’t come out… it can kill us.. everything about pregnancy… can kill
us….

so yes.. there is a reason for not havingsexual relation till the kid that
hasn’t finished grade school…

Q7         What are some examples of humility you have seen in aperson?

A7         TikshaRohilla, Screenwriter, Digital Creator, Author2y

It was my first day at college, I was going through thedocumentation process,
after everything I went to the nearby garden just torelieve off the pressure
when I saw a woman.

She was attired in a maroon sareewith a short braid with a rose flower tucked
inside.

She was eating dal chawal with handsfrom a tiffin box. Aftershe finished, she
called me saying “Amma, do you have water"

Inodded a yes, and gave her the water and started talking about the college.

I made up this thought inside mymind, she's a sanitation worker here in
college, because shewas sitting on the grass, and eating through hands.

I talked about only my stuff, therules, the timings and the environment here,
and she kept talking to me withextreme humility, answeringall my questions.

After a month, this Februarymy classes begin and I saw her in the Pedodontics
department, I saw some seniorstudents were greeting her as “Good morning Ma'am"

She was a Doctor, blessed withthe tags of MBBS and MD.

I was blown away, I thought she was asimple sanitation worker here

Herdark skin tone, very simple saree and eating normal dal chawal on
thegrasscover had nothing to do with her qualifications.

She answered all my questions anddidn't brag about her position or anything,
she kept smiling with love.

I went to her and greeted, however Ididn't tell her about my first thought
about her, and this episode changed many things about opinions in mymind.

First impression can be verydecieving.
