Sirs,Banks have coin bags of Rs 20-00. Customers are given if required. Mostly
merchants request them. Regarding rupee one currency, mostly coin collectors
are more interested. I have got one recently printed, given to my wife during
Navarathri, by a Bank officer family.
As you said in some areas many refuse to receive coins, but in Chennai there
is no such problem.In fact many shops desirecoins. It is very difficult to
educate those who do not accept. Reserve bank can issue only notices and
