CULTURAL QA 11202308

Q1 Is math a human invention, or could it be the language of the
universe?

KR: “Nobody knows for sure” was the answer and if so why Q and A?
All the names were derived or deduced or deducted or recovered or
DISCOVERED from the existence; Mathematics is no different. Long ago I
wrote on GOLDEN RATIO naturally in the existence and later discovered by
the Indian Rishis (vide Krishna Yajurvedam and its Upanishads spoken in
detail which one must discover from). Space and planetary positions,
rotations are all in that Golden Ratio. However, the credit was stolen by
the west which our minority contributors will reflect here, denigrating the
nation reflecting their avivekam. Other branches of mathematics may be seen
even from Chamaka and other versions of the yagna. Vedic maths and sulpha
sutras were the ingenuity of the ancestors of Bharatham.

Q2 How deep does the water have to be for a cruise ship to dock?

KR How deep is Suez canal?

Q3 What is the worst mental illness to have?

KR Worries in majority. The earning left and right out of
greediness is in the body not the mind. SBI Bombay share market scam, scam
2003 stamp paper , plane purchases buy congress, Madras corporation scam,
so many in this land did not make the people wise.

Q4 How do you know if someone is mature or not?

KR Repetitive. Maturity is attaining the wisdom and that is attained
not from the university.

*CULTURAL QA 11-2023-08*

*All the BELOW QA are from Quora DIGEST to me on 08-11-2023.*

*QUORA ANSWERS NEED NOT BE 100% CORRECT ANSWERS.*

*Compiled and posted by R. Gopala Krishnan, 80, on 08-11-2023.*

*Q1 Is math a human invention, or could it be the language of the
universe?*

*A1 “Silk Road”,AI Expert15h*

*Nobody knows for sure.*

*On one side, math seems to be a human invention because it is based on our
conventions and definitions.*

*For example, we decided to use base 10 for our number system, but we could
have used base 12 or base 16 or any other base.*

*We also decided to use certain symbols and notations for mathematical
operations, but we could have used different ones.*

*Math is also influenced by our culture and history, as different
civilizations developed different branches and methods of mathematics.*

*On the other side, math seems to be a natural phenomenon because it is
found everywhere in nature.*

*Bees make hexagonal honeycombs because hexagons are the most efficient
shape for tiling a plane.*

*Cicadas emerge every 13 or 17 years because those are prime numbers that
help them avoid predators.*

*The shape of soap films, the design of gears, and the structure of
Saturn's rings are all governed by mathematical principles.*

*Math also seems to be universal and objective, as it works the same way
regardless of who or where you are.*

*So, is math a human invention or the language of the universe? It could be
both.*

*Q2 How deep does the water have to be for a cruise ship to dock?*

*A2 Rebecca Williams, knows about boats and ships18h*

*The water depth required for a cruise ship to dock depends on several
factors, such as the size and weight of the ship, the draft of the ship,
the tide level, the weather conditions, and the design of the port.*

*The draft of the ship is the distance from the waterline to the lowest
point of the hull. It indicates how much of the ship is submerged in the
water. The draft of a cruise ship can vary depending on the weight of the
ship, which can change due to the number of passengers, the amount of fuel,
and the cargo on board. The draft of a cruise ship can range from 25 to 40
feet, depending on the ship.*

*The tide level is the height of the water surface relative to a reference
point, such as the shore or the sea floor. The tide level changes due to
the gravitational pull of the moon and the sun, and can affect the water
depth at a port. The tide level can vary from a few inches to several feet,
depending on the location and the time of the day.*

*The weather conditions can also affect the water depth at a port. For
example, strong winds, storms, or waves can cause the water level to rise
or fall, creating a storm surge or a low tide. These can make the water
depth unpredictable and dangerous for docking.*

*The design of the port is another factor that determines the water depth
required for a cruise ship to dock. Some ports are natural harbors that
have deep water and wide entrances, while others are artificial ports that
have been dredged or built to accommodate large ships. Some ports have
piers or berths that extend into the water, while others have terminals or
quays that are along the shore. Some ports have floating docks that can
adjust to the water level, while others have fixed docks that are at a
constant height.*

*Q3 What is the worst mental illness to have?*

*A3 Victor Dirikebamor,Storyteller23h*

*The legacy of the dark goggled Sani Abacha, the one-time military ruler of
Nigeria is marred by an unfathomable greed as he's said to have siphoned $5
billion from the nation’s coffers, a sum whose absence was felt deeply
across the everyday lives of Nigerians.*

*His death in 1998, marked an unusual moment in history—people danced in
the streets, finding relief at the end of an era that had pushed them to
the brink.*

*During Nigeria's most desperate hours, its supposed protector was
funneling vast wealth into the vaults of countries known for their
integrity and transparency.*

*In the year of Abacha's death alone, an astonishing $750 million was
recovered from his family.*

*The relentless pursuit of these funds has drawn in an international cadre
of nations, including the United States, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and
France where this loot was and might still be hidden.*

*France just returned $150 million just days ago after 25years of the man's
death.*

*Their combined efforts have yielded a return of up to $4 billion, yet much
remains scattered across the globe, hidden within the complex labyrinth of
the international financial system.*

*All this while Nigeria stands in the shadow of a title it never sought:
the poverty capital of the world.*

*If not for the sudden cessation of Abacha's rule, these billions might
have remained perpetually under the lock and key of one family’s avarice.*

*Greed, might not be the worst of ailments, but I still think it perilously
sits atop the list of human failings.*

*It's a puzzle why one would hoard wealth so vast it's impossible to fully
enjoy, if that person isn't sick in some way, with a blend of madness in
its extremity.*

*And when it comes to the fate of the returned loot by our ancestor who
keeps giving. Conversations about its effective use are scarce, leaving
room for speculation and the whisper of rumors, that once recovered, these
monies are falling prey to the same cycle of looting they were once
liberated from.*

*This grim pattern appears to validate the criticism often levelled at
governance in Africa, with Nigeria frequently cited as a case study in the
entrenched greed that seems to besiege our leadership, a vicious ailment
spread far and wide amongst the elites like the Sahara.*

*Q4 How do you know if someone is mature or not?*

*A4 Sia,21h*

*• A person is mature when they stop complaining and be more accepting.*

*• A person is mature when they start understanding others point of view.*

*• A person is mature when they stop craving for other's attention.*

*• A person is mature when they stop trying to force other people to be
with them.*

*• A person is mature when they realise it's ok to be single.*

*• A person is mature when they stop blaming others for everything and
start taking responsibilities.*

*• A person is mature when they takes criticism with a smile and tries to
work on it.*

*• A person is mature when they stop pleasing others and focus on
themselves.*

*• A person is mature when they start accepting the reality of life and not
live in their fairy tale dreams.*

*• A person is mature when they are silent when everyone is loud but are
loud when everyone is silent.*

*• Most importantly, a person is mature when they work hard in silence and
let their success make the noise.*

*Q5 Is there anything that really works to reduce the size of the
prostate?*

*A5 Health Vital,3h*

*The size of the prostate can increase with age, leading to a condition
known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), which can cause urinary
symptoms such as frequent urination, difficulty starting and stopping
urination, and weak urine flow. There are several approaches to manage and
reduce the symptoms of an enlarged prostate:*

*Medications: There are prescription medications that can help reduce the
size of the prostate or relieve its symptoms. These medications include
alpha-blockers (e.g., tamsulosin) and 5-alpha reductase inhibitors (e.g.,
finasteride). Alpha-blockers relax the muscles in the prostate and bladder,
improving urine flow, while 5-alpha reductase inhibitors can reduce the
size of the prostate over time.*

*Lifestyle modifications: Making certain lifestyle changes can help
alleviate symptoms associated with an enlarged prostate. These changes may
include limiting caffeine and alcohol intake, staying active, managing
stress, and maintaining a healthy diet.*

*Dietary supplements: Some supplements like saw palmetto, pygeum, and
beta-sitosterol are believed by some to have potential benefits for
prostate health. However, their efficacy is still a subject of debate, and
it's important to consult with a healthcare professional before using any
dietary supplement.*

*Minimally invasive procedures: In cases where medications are not
effective, or the symptoms are severe, minimally invasive procedures or
surgeries may be considered to reduce the size of the prostate. These
procedures include transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), laser
therapy, and others.*

*Prostate artery embolization (PAE): PAE is a minimally invasive procedure
that can reduce the blood flow to the prostate, leading to shrinkage of the
gland and relief from urinary symptoms.*

*It's essential to consult with a healthcare provider if you are
experiencing symptoms related to an enlarged prostate. They can evaluate
your condition and recommend the most appropriate treatment options based
on your specific situation and the severity of your symptoms. Additionally,
regular check-ups and prostate health screenings are important, especially
for men over the age of 50, to monitor prostate health and catch any issues
early.*
