PLUTONIUM Plutonium was first made in December 1940 at Berkeley,
California, by Glenn Seaborg, Arthur Wahl, Joseph Kennedy, and Edwin
McMillan. They produced it by bombarding uranium-238 with deuterium nuclei
(alpha particles). This first produced neptunium-238 with a half-life of
two days, and this decayed by beta emission to form element 94 (plutonium).
Within a couple of months element 94 had been conclusively identified and
its basic chemistry shown to be like that of uranium. To begin with, the
amounts of plutonium produced were invisible to the eye, but by August 1942
there was enough to see and weigh, albeit only 3 millionths of a gram.
However, by 1945 the Americans had several kilograms, and enough plutonium
to make three atomic bombs, one of which exploded over Nagasaki in August
1945.

PUREX was developed in the US in the late 1940s originally as a
separation system for production of pure plutonium for military
applications. In a way, PUREX was an industrial revolution and the success
of this process led to the development of modern liquid-liquid extraction
processes. More than half a decade after its development, PUREX is still
the foundation of all modern separation processes for spent nuclear fuel
used on industrial scale. The system utilizes tributyl phosphate (TBP) to
extract uranium and plutonium away from most other elements in the spent
nuclear material. The preference of tetravalent and hexavalent (as MO22 +)
ions is the key to the selective extraction. The stability of UO22 +
combined with the relative ease of changes to the oxidation state of
plutonium, predominantly between the + 3 and + 4 state, is the other
critical aspect of this process. The current state of the art PUREX
processes for commercial reprocessing are used in four countries in the
world (France, Japan, the UK, and Russia) and have an annual capacity of
more than 5500 tonne heavy metal (including the new Rokkasho-Mura plant).
The reprocessing plants combine extraction (TBP) and redox reagents (e.g.
U(IV), hydroxylamine, hydrazine) in several counter current liquid-liquid
extraction batteries under different conditions to extract, scrub and strip
selected elements to obtain a pure product. PUREX is not entirely without
problems and elements such as Np, Tc, Zr, Nb and Ru put high demands on the
process such as increased number of stages and the need for parallel
decontamination batteries. Improvements and changes made to the PUREX
process over the years include more advanced equipment to facilitate easier
handling and increase throughput. Although PUREX has been used successfully
for a long time, research has been continuous and a number of recent
discoveries and ideas are close to being implemented to a future PUREX
process, e.g. Advanced PUREX, SuperPUREX, COEX, UREX, etc. These new
processes are being developed to meet new or future policies regarding
waste and product stream composition. One major issue has been to avoid a
pure Pu product by routing either neptunium (UREX and NPEX) or uranium
(COEX) into the Pu-product stream, thereby increasing proliferation
resistance. The complicated issue of neptunium control have been addressed
using simple hydroxamic acids and successful pilot scale processes has been
administered in both U.S. (UREX +), the UK (Adv. PUREX) and France (COEX).
All these processes look promising for the future successful use of
PUREX-like chemistry in advanced nuclear fuel reprocessing and the
adaptability of this process is all but proven to accommodate for future
restrictions on waste and product stream composition.

SALT, SUGAR, OIL Every food is important and our body only
helps to improve, as long as the body balance is maintained. So whether
this food is good , apple is good, Tomato is good, so many q and A is
useless; what one does not like, what one’s body refuse to adopt and what
food cannot be used because of body health alone does matter and it will
known as you cross the bridge.

Salt, oil, sugar and spices occupy an important role in our daily diet and
are consumed in one form or another. While an excess of these ingredients
is indeed bad for health, our bodies need them in small quantities for a
number of reasons. Before mindlessly believing that salt, sugar and fat is
bad for your body, read this article and understand how having these food
items in moderate quantities can help you.

Ayurveda teaches that salt is essential for growth, maintaining
water-electrolyte balance, and proper digestion, absorption and elimination
of wastes. It creates flexibility in the joints, stimulates the appetite
and helps digest natural toxins, clearing the subtle channels of the body.
Salt balances Vata and can imbalance Pitta and Kapha when used excessively,
causing premature wrinkles, thirst, skin problems and weakness. Throughout
time, salt has been an irreplaceable part of our kitchens and is used to
flavour up every other dish. However, excessive salt consumption could
result in serious health problems as it directly impacts the energy levels
in one body. Salt is typically made up of fire and water elements and a
small amount regulates moisture level in the body. This promotes better
absorption of nutrients from food, regulates blood pressure and is vital
for the functioning of the brain and nervous system. Eating too much salt
can have a range of effects. In the short term, it may cause bloating,
severe thirst and a temporary rise in blood pressure. In the long term, it
may also lead to hypernatremia, which, if left untreated, can be fatal. In
Ayurveda, from a holistic perspective anything overused, misused or used in
a high amount leads to an imbalance in the body.

Similarly, Ayurveda teaches that the sweet taste nourishes and
invigorates the mind, relieves hunger and thirst, increases tissues and
improves the immune system. Importantly, it is associated with the positive
emotions of happiness, contentment, calmness, cheerfulness, love and
satisfaction when eaten in appropriate amounts. But again, it has to be
taken in moderation. From an Ayurvedic perspective, we need to consider
long-term moderation combined with well-timed and precise restraint. In
order to ditch white sugar and switch to a healthier version, brown sugar,
jaggery and natural fruits are used as an alternative to refined sugar.
Natural sources of sugar are digested slower and help you feel full for
longer. It also helps keep your metabolism stable.

‘Ati sevanam’ as per Ayurveda might lead to high blood pressure or
hypertension. Whereas high amounts of fat intake can cause cholesterol to
build up in your arteries, on the other hand too many spices may give acute
gastritis and stomach ulcers. But if consumed in moderation these spices
help in combating heart diseases, inflammation and keep the body warm
especially in winters.

Hence the key is to keep consuming everything in moderation and
avoid Atikriya (overdoing) of everything, be it food, lifestyle, indulgence
or any activity. Here are some things you need to eliminate from your daily
routine- Avoid suppression of natural urges like that of urine. Avoid
sleeping for long hours during the day. You can nap for a max of 10-15
minutes. Avoid excessive stress and anger on trivial issues. Avoid staying
up late at night and have at least 6-8 hours of sleep xxxxxxxx

JUPITER AND SUN {KR The answer is wrong; the complete data of
Jupiter is given below; it takes 12 years for one revolution which is in
out astrology. Day is 10 hours only self-rotation; and SUN is bigger than
Jupiter; so size weight etc are not factors; and data below is scientific
and NASA based} The conjunction of Sun and Jupiter is considered highly
auspicious in Vedic Astrology. Both Sun and Jupiter are masculine and are
friends with each other. While Jupiter makes the native spiritual and
ethical, Sun makes them occupy a prominent position in the government
departments or a private sector company.

Jupiter's diameter is about 11 times that of the Earth's and the
Sun's diameter is about 10 times Jupiter's.

The Solar System: Planet Sizes

Mercury – 1,516mi (2,440km) radius; about 1/3 the size of Earth

Venus – 3,760mi (6,052km) radius; only slightly smaller than Earth

Earth – 3,959mi (6,371km) radius

Mars – 2,106mi (3,390km) radius; about half the size of Earth

Jupiter – 43,441mi (69,911km) radius; 11x Earth’s size

Saturn – 36,184mi (58,232km) radius; 9x larger than Earth

Uranus – 15,759mi (25,362km) radius; 4x Earth’s size

Neptune – 15,299mi (24,622km) radius; only slightly smaller than Uranus

With a radius of 43,440.7 miles (69,911 kilometers), Jupiter is 11
times wider than Earth. If Earth were the size of a nickel, Jupiter would
be about as big as a basketball. From an average distance of 484 million
miles (778 million kilometers), Jupiter is 5.2 astronomical units away from
the Sun. One astronomical unit (abbreviated as AU), is the distance from
the Sun to Earth. From this distance, it takes Sunlight 43 minutes to
travel from the Sun to Jupiter.

Jupiter has the shortest day in the solar system. One day on
Jupiter takes *only about 10 hours* (the time it takes for Jupiter to
rotate or spin around once), and Jupiter makes a complete orbit around the
Sun (a year in Jovian time) in *about 12 Earth years* (4,333 Earth days).

Its equator is tilted with respect to its orbital path around the Sun
by just 3 degrees. This means Jupiter spins nearly upright and does not
have seasons as extreme as other planets do. With four large moons and many
smaller moons, Jupiter forms a kind of miniature solar system. Jupiter has
95 moons that are officially recognized by the International Astronomical
Union. The four largest moons – Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto – were
first observed by the astronomer Galileo Galilei in 1610 using an early
version of the telescope. These four moons are known today as the Galilean
satellites, and they're some of the most fascinating destinations in our
solar system. Io is the most volcanically active body in the solar system.
Ganymede is the largest moon in the solar system (even bigger than the
planet Mercury). Callisto’s very few small craters indicate a small degree
of current surface activity. A liquid-water ocean with the ingredients for
life may lie beneath the frozen crust of Europa. Europa is the target of
NASA's Europa Clipper mission slated to launch in 2024.

Rings Discovered in 1979 by NASA's Voyager 1 spacecraft,
Jupiter's rings were a surprise. The rings are composed of small, dark
particles, and they are difficult to see except when backlit by the Sun.
Data from the Galileo spacecraft indicate that Jupiter's ring system may be
formed by dust kicked up as interplanetary meteoroids smash into the giant
planet's small innermost moons.

Formation Jupiter took shape along with rest of the solar system
about 4.5 billion years ago. Gravity pulled swirling gas and dust together
to form this gas giant. Jupiter took most of the mass left over after the
formation of the Sun, ending up with more than twice the combined material
of the other bodies in the solar system. In fact, Jupiter has the same
ingredients as a star, but it did not grow massive enough to ignite. About
4 billion years ago, Jupiter settled into its current position in the outer
solar system, where it is the fifth planet from the Sun.

Structure The composition of Jupiter is similar to that of
the Sun – mostly hydrogen and helium. Deep in the atmosphere, pressure and
temperature increase, compressing the hydrogen gas into a liquid. This
gives Jupiter the largest ocean in the solar system – an ocean made of
hydrogen instead of water. Scientists think that, at depths perhaps halfway
to the planet's center, the pressure becomes so great that electrons are
squeezed off the hydrogen atoms, making the liquid electrically conducting
like metal. Jupiter's fast rotation is thought to drive electrical currents
in this region, generating the planet's powerful magnetic field. It is
still unclear if deeper down, Jupiter has a central core of solid material
or if it may be a thick, super-hot and dense soup. It could be up to 90,032
degrees Fahrenheit (50,000 degrees Celsius) down there, made mostly of iron
and silicate minerals (similar to quartz).

Surface As a gas giant, Jupiter doesn’t have a true
surface. The planet is mostly swirling gases and liquids. While a
spacecraft would have nowhere to land on Jupiter, it wouldn’t be able to
fly through unscathed either. The extreme pressures and temperatures deep
inside the planet crush, melt, and vaporize spacecraft trying to fly into
the planet.

Atmosphere Jupiter's appearance is a tapestry of
colorful cloud bands and spots. The gas planet likely has three distinct
cloud layers in its "skies" that, taken together, span about 44 miles (71
kilometers). The top cloud is probably made of ammonia ice, while the
middle layer is likely made of ammonium hydrosulfide crystals. The
innermost layer may be made of water ice and vapor. The vivid colors you
see in thick bands across Jupiter may be plumes of sulfur and
phosphorus-containing gases rising from the planet's warmer interior.
Jupiter's fast rotation – spinning once every 10 hours – creates strong jet
streams, separating its clouds into dark belts and bright zones across long
stretches. With no solid surface to slow them down, Jupiter's spots can
persist for many years. Stormy Jupiter is swept by over a dozen prevailing
winds, some reaching up to 335 miles per hour (539 kilometers per hour) at
the equator. The Great Red Spot, a swirling oval of clouds twice as wide as
Earth, has been observed on the giant planet for more than 300 years. More
recently, three smaller ovals merged to form the Little Red Spot, about
half the size of its larger cousin.

Findings from NASA’s Juno probe released in October 2021 provide a
fuller picture of what’s going on below those clouds. Data from Juno shows
that Jupiter’s cyclones are warmer on top, with lower atmospheric
densities, while they are colder at the bottom, with higher densities.
Anticyclones, which rotate in the opposite direction, are colder at the top
but warmer at the bottom. The findings also indicate these storms are far
taller than expected, with some extending 60 miles (100 kilometers) below
the cloud tops and others, including the Great Red Spot, extending over 200
miles (350 kilometers). This surprising discovery demonstrates that the
vortices cover regions beyond those where water condenses and clouds form,
below the depth where sunlight warms the atmosphere.

The height and size of the Great Red Spot mean the concentration of
atmospheric mass within the storm potentially could be detectable by
instruments studying Jupiter’s gravity field. Two close Juno flybys over
Jupiter’s most famous spot provided the opportunity to search for the
storm’s gravity signature and complement the other results on its depth.
With their gravity data, the Juno team was able to constrain the extent of
the Great Red Spot to a depth of about 300 miles (500 kilometers) below the
cloud tops. Belts and Zones In addition to cyclones and anticyclones,
Jupiter is known for its distinctive belts and zones – white and reddish
bands of clouds that wrap around the planet. Strong east-west winds moving
in opposite directions separate the bands. Juno previously discovered that
these winds, or jet streams, reach depths of about 2,000 miles (roughly
3,200 kilometers). Researchers are still trying to solve the mystery of how
the jet streams form. Data collected by Juno during multiple passes reveal
one possible clue: that the atmosphere’s ammonia gas travels up and down in
remarkable alignment with the observed jet streams.

Juno’s data also shows that the belts and zones undergo a transition
around 40 miles (65 kilometers) beneath Jupiter’s water clouds. At shallow
depths, Jupiter’s belts are brighter in microwave light than the
neighboring zones. But at deeper levels, below the water clouds, the
opposite is true – which reveals a similarity to our oceans. Polar Cyclones
Juno previously discovered polygonal arrangements of giant cyclonic storms
at both of Jupiter’s poles – eight arranged in an octagonal pattern in the
north and five arranged in a pentagonal pattern in the south. Over time,
mission scientists determined these atmospheric phenomena are extremely
resilient, remaining in the same location. Juno data also indicates that,
like hurricanes on Earth, these cyclones want to move poleward, but
cyclones located at the center of each pole push them back. This balance
explains where the cyclones reside and the different numbers at each pole.

Magnetosphere The Jovian magnetosphere is the region of space
influenced by Jupiter's powerful magnetic field. It balloons 600,000 to 2
million miles (1 to 3 million kilometers) toward the Sun (seven to 21 times
the diameter of Jupiter itself) and tapers into a tadpole-shaped tail
extending more than 600 million miles (1 billion kilometers) behind
Jupiter, as far as Saturn's orbit. Jupiter's enormous magnetic field is 16
to 54 times as powerful as that of the Earth. It rotates with the planet
and sweeps up particles that have an electric charge. Near the planet, the
magnetic field traps swarms of charged particles and accelerates them to
very high energies, creating intense radiation that bombards the innermost
moons and can damage spacecraft. Jupiter's magnetic field also causes some
of the solar system's most spectacular aurorae at the planet's poles.

WOODEN ELEPHANT

There was a carpenter in a village, who specializes in making wooden toys.
One day, he made a wooden Elephant which looked like the real one, to be
used in carnival. Another carpenter went to examine this wooden Elephant
with his child. The four year old child, perceived the wooden Elephant to
be the real one. So, when the father went near the wooden elephant, the
child screamed in fear,” Father please don’t go near the Elephant. It might
hurt you.” The father tried to convince the child that it was just a doll
and not a real Elephant. The child perceived the Elephant to be real, as
the wisdom of the doll being made of wood was hidden from the child. At the
same time, the father did not get frightened as the knowledge that it was
made out of wood made him feel confident that the doll might not hurt him.
What does Thirumoolar convey through story? In short, if we see Elephant in
the toy, we don’t see the wood. If we see wood in the toy, we don’t
recognize the Elephant. It is just an illusion.

As the Elephant and the wood are same, the five elements(Air, water,
fire,Earth, space) and our Self(Paramathma) are the same entity.

As the child did not perceive the wood in Elephant we find difficulty in
perceiving our self(Paramathma) due to the illusion that this Universe
creates. But on the other hand, saints see the Universe disappearing in
Self(Paramathma). For those who have gained spiritual wisdom, everything
appears as God. So now you might ask why should I know all these? What
bothers me if I am able to see the Universe or God? Here is the answer.

There are no records that African parents are harsh; Asia and Africa
many nations have a culture. But stamping as harsh has no basis. I do not
wish to add more. But how Maha periayava felt how children may be
negotiated by our conduct; a story below:

HARSH PARENTS Youth’s Change of Heart

During our Swamigal’s visit to Nerur, ( June of 1923), a young man hailing
from a very conservative and pious vedic Brahmin family belonging to
Kerala, came to Tiruchiwith the intention of converting to Christianity. He
was a graduate and possessed a clear and rational mind. However, his
innocence accepted made him accept whatever information was fed to him. He
got attracted by the teachings and speeches by the local Christian
preachers and priests. His friends took him to meet with F.G.Natesa Iyer,
then municipal Chairman at Tiruchi. Natesa Iyer elaborated on his twenty
years of experience and knowledge on the Christian religion and advised the
young man that the Hindu religion was our mother and it was not appropriate
to abandon your mother. He also told him that he was unfortunate to have
committed such a sin, but realized his folly in time and he didn’t like to
see anyone else commit the same mistake. However, this young man was very
adamant and did not change his mind about converting to Christianity.

At that point, Natesa Iyer looked at him and said, “ I cannot say
anything else to persuade you at this point. But, before you surrender to
Christian priests, I want you to meet Sri Kamakoti Peetam, Sri Acharya
Swamigal. He is camping close by and if you are willing, come with me.” The
young gentleman accepted the offer and both of them went to a nearby
village Kuzhumani, where Swamigal was camping. Swamigal asked Iyer to bring
that youth to the banks of the local river. A little while after they
reached there, Swamigal came to that place. Most of the river was dry and
sand was visible. He took them both for a long walk in the sand, inquired
his thoughts and desires and rationality for joining Christianity. The
young man also expressed his thoughts and feelings frankly to Swamigal.
After hearing through, Swamigal told him that the Hindu religion was the
basis for all the religions.

Whatever practices that are prevalent in other religions can be
found in the Hindu dharma also. Moreover, special ways and practices are
prescribed in the Hindu religion. These practices and dharmas provide the
path to reach God and everyone born as a Hindu can follow any of these
paths to attain salvation. He spoke with that youth for a very long time
that night and requested Natesa Iyer to bring him to the mutt for the next
two days also. When Swamigal met the young man alone, he gave him a few
upadesams. After that, the young man changed his mind about converting, got
faith in his own religion, paid his homage to Swamigal and headed back home.

*Q1 Is landing distance shorter than take off distance?*

*A1 Mayfair Jets, Aviation Enthusiast May 18*

*Fantastic question! You're spot-on to notice there's a difference between
take-off and landing distances for airplanes. There's a lot going on behind
the scenes of every flight, and these differences play a key role.*

*The reason is tied to safety margins. When an airplane takes off, it
requires a bit more runway than for landing. This is to account for the
possibility of an engine failure during take-off. In such cases, the plane
needs sufficient runway left either to stop safely or to continue the
takeoff on the remaining engines.*

*On the other hand, during landing, airplanes are slowing down, not
speeding up. They're also lighter, having burned off fuel during the
flight. This allows them to stop in a shorter distance than they need to
take off.*

*Isn't aviation fascinating?*

*Q2 Where does the US get plutonium?*

*A2 Silk Road, AI Expert8h*

*The US gets its plutonium from its own nuclear weapons program.Plutonium
is a man-made element that is used to make nuclear weapons and nuclear
power.*

*It's super radioactive and super dangerous, so don't mess with it unless
you know what you're doing.*

*The US has been making plutonium since the 1940s, when it was part of the
Manhattan Project to build the first atomic bombs.*

*Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico was the first place to
produce plutonium pits, which are the cores of nuclear weapons that cause
the big boom.*

*They made the pits for them bombs that were dropped on Japan in World War
II, and they still make some pits today for research purposes and to
replace old ones.*

*But Los Alamos is not the only place that makes pits. From 1952 to 1989,
most of the pits for US nuclear weapons were made at Rocky Flats Plant near
Denver, Colorado.*

*That place was pumping out thousands of pits per year during the Cold War,
when the US and the Soviet Union were in a nuclear arms race.*

*At one point, the US had over 31,000 nuclear weapons in its stockpile,
each with a plutonium pit inside.*

*But then something happened.*

*The Cold War ended, and the US and Russia agreed to reduce their nuclear
arsenals and stop making new weapons.*

*Rocky Flats was shut down in 1989 because of environmental and safety
issues, and the US stopped producing new pits.*

*Instead, it started dismantling old weapons and storing the surplus
plutonium at various sites around the country.*

*One of those sites is Pantex Plant near Amarillo, Texas, where they take
apart the warheads and remove the pits.*

*Another site is Savannah River Site in South Carolina, where they store a
lot of the plutonium in a building.*

*But here's the problem.*

*The US has too much plutonium and nowhere to go with it. It has about 54
metric tons of surplus plutonium that it doesn't need for weapons anymore.*

*Some of that plutonium is supposed to be destroyed or made unusable for
weapons under an agreement with Russia, but that agreement is on hold
because of political tensions.*

*And even if it wasn't, the US doesn't have a permanent plan for how to get
rid of its plutonium safely and securely.*

*You see, plutonium is very unstable and decays over time, emitting
radiation and changing into other elements that can affect its performance
and behavior.*

*Plutonium also lasts for a very long time - it has a half-life of 24,000
years. That means it will be around for thousands of generations, posing a
threat to human health and security.*

*Q3 What are the advantages of eating tomatoes?*

*A3 Health Director | Loving Father | Business Director Apr 4*

*Tomatoes are a popular fruit that is consumed all over the world. They are
famous for their sweet, juicy and tangy flavor, and they are an essential
ingredient in many dishes. Tomatoes are also very nutritious and offer
several health benefits. In this article, we will explore the advantages of
eating tomatoes in detail.*

*Tomatoes are a rich source of several essential nutrients, including
vitamins A, C, and K, potassium, folate, and dietary fiber. They also
contain a variety of antioxidants, including lycopene, flavonoids, and
beta-carotene, which have been shown to reduce the risk of chronic diseases
like cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.*

*One of the most significant advantages of eating tomatoes is their ability
to reduce the risk of cancer. Studies have shown that the antioxidants in
tomatoes, particularly lycopene, can help protect against several types of
cancer, including lung, stomach, breast, and prostate cancer. Lycopene is a
potent antioxidant that helps neutralize free radicals, which can cause
cell damage and lead to cancer.*

*Another advantage of eating tomatoes is their potential to reduce the risk
of heart disease. Tomatoes are rich in potassium, which helps lower blood
pressure and reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes. They are also a
good source of fiber, which helps lower cholesterol levels and prevent the
build up of plaque in the arteries.*

*Tomatoes are also beneficial for people with diabetes. They are low in
calories and carbohydrates, making them an excellent addition to a diabetic
diet. They are also rich in fiber, which can help regulate blood sugar
levels and prevent spikes in insulin.*

*In addition to their health benefits, tomatoes are also a versatile
ingredient in cooking. They can be eaten raw in salads, cooked in soups and
stews, or used as a base for sauces and dips. Tomatoes are also a low-cost
and widely available food, making them an excellent choice for people on a
budget.*

*In conclusion, there are many advantages to eating tomatoes. They are a
rich source of essential nutrients, including vitamins and antioxidants,
which can help prevent chronic diseases like cancer and heart disease. They
are also low in calories and carbohydrates, making them an excellent choice
for people with diabetes or those looking to lose weight. Finally, tomatoes
are a versatile ingredient in cooking and are widely available and
inexpensive, making them an excellent choice for anyone looking to improve
their diet.*

*Q4 Which is more dangerous for the human body, oil or sugar?*

*A4 Aryan Akole, NEET Aspirant9m*

*See this is like a two bladed sword.*

*If we do anything in excess it's going to be harmful to the body. For eg:-
water , if we drink excess water it disturbs the blood viscosity and
osmolarity which can eventually lead to death.*

*Now back to the question.*

*Oil is not harmful but what is harmful is the compounds present in it.Good
cholesterol is necessary for the heart for working at optimum level.*

*It's the bad cholesterol that triggers miserable things . But anything
done in excess is bad. The same applies for sugar.*

*Q5 Is it true that Jupiter is so large that it does not orbit
around the sun?*

*A5 Prerak Sharma,Astronomy lover Updated 3y*

*Yes!*

*Jupiter, The biggest planet in our solar system. It is so massive that
1300 earths could fit inside of this planet. Jupiter is 2.5 times more
massive than all the other planets in our solar system combined!*

*This is our tiny earth compared to the Jupiter:*

*Jupiter is so big that the center of gravity of the sun and Jupiter is
outside of sun. Although extremely close to the surface of the sun.*

*So the sun and Jupiter both orbit around their center of gravity which is
also known as barycenter.*

*Barycenter is the center of mass of two or more bodies that orbit one
another and is the point about which the bodies orbit.*

*Technically Jupiter orbits around the barycenter of sun and Jupiter which
is located outside of the sun.*

*So, Yes! Jupiter is so large that it doesn't orbit around the sun.
Fascinating!*

*Now other planets in solar system are so small that barycenter of the sun
and a planet like earth lies inside of the sun. (Also very near to the
center of sun.)*

*So it looks like other planets are orbiting the center of the sun.*

*Source: Barycenter - Wikipedia*

*To understand this you can also imagine spinning a kid like this: (Could
be dangerous. Imagine only.)*

*The center of gravity of you and the kid would be somewhere very near to
your feet. So you're spinning almost at the same place but the kid is
orbiting around you. This is exactly what happens with the sun and the
other planets.*

*By the way, this is how two stars with nearly same weights orbit around
their common barycenter in binary star system:*

*Q6 What are the potential health benefits of consuming Moringa
powder?*

*A6 Shnayas, Affordable skincare products with minimal
ingredients.16h*

*Moringa powder is derived from the leaves of the Moringa oleifera tree and
is known for its high nutritional content. Consuming Moringa powder may
have several potential health benefits, including:*

*Q7 Why are African parents so harsh to their children?*

*A7 Victor Dirikebamor, Storyteller Oct 18*

*For many parents in my corner of Africa, especially in my time, love is
seldom coddling or indulgent.*

*It's more akin to tough love, dishing out life's hard lessons, served raw,
and with no room for sugar coating.*

*Growing up, my Dad was something to fear, while my mom, for instance,
would fearlessly rescue me from the jaws of a lion but wouldn't hesitate to
give me the lion treatment if I stepped out of line.*

*To her, both were acts of love, designed to equip me for the struggles and
triumphs that life would undoubtedly bring.*

*In many rural settings like the one I was raised in, teaching good manners
was considered as crucial as learning to read and write.*

*Visiting relatives wasn't an invitation to wreak havoc in their homes; it
was an exercise in decorum.*

*You sat when told to, listened more than you spoke, and only got up when
given the nod.*

*Meal times weren't just about nourishment; they were master classes in
etiquette. Chew with your mouth closed, they'd say, as if bad manners could
poison the food.*

*What lies beneath that perceived harshness is a blend of intense love and
a stern sense of discipline.*

*Growing up under such watchful eyes could feel like walking on a
tightrope; one false move and you're in for a reprimanding of a lifetime.*

*Now, I'm not saying this approach is without its flaws. Critics argue that
such rigidity stifles creativity and can even push kids into rebellion.*

*And indeed, I've seen kids who were given too much freedom become
neighborhood nuisances; participating in gangs, smoking, and causing
general chaos.*

*It's a fine line that every parent has to walk: balancing freedom with
discipline, autonomy with guidance.*

*As I contemplate my future as a parent, I don't plan to adopt any
particular method wholesale. I'll pass on the corporal punishment my mother
doled out, but I'm also wary of completely embracing Western methods, which
have their own pitfalls.*

*Instead, I'll cherry-pick from both worlds, striving to offer a cocktail
of discipline and freedom, one that guides my future children toward
becoming the best versions of themselves.*

*Contrary to popular beliefs, African parents, like parents anywhere,
deploy their unique blend of love and discipline with one goal in mind: to
shape their children into resilient, respectful, and responsible adults.*
