Respected sirs,
There is one member in our groups who is perfect and excellent in all
respects. No other member can be near him in these qualities.

RespectedSir/s,
I’m a perfectionist!!!!whoconsistently
does things in an imperfect manner?I’ma person who hates settling for good
enough;.. yet I frequently / many a times accept something that is as good as I
can get.
I make these compromises in the interest of getting things
done.
There are many people (includingmy wife) who would
criticize me for making those compromises. But I believe a job, project or
assignment completed, evenif a little less than perfect, is betterthan one
never completed.
One of the fivegreat weaknesses of ineffective leaders is
hesitancy. They maybe brilliant, they may have great ideas and theymay have
passion. They are also in need of the perfect circumstanceor the perfect timing
in which to pursue their passion or idea. Sometimes ifthey are not certain of a
perfect outcome ………………theyhesitate to the point of never actually getting
started at all. This is a common mistake. For them the huntfor perfection is a
slippery slope that most oftenturns into the bondage of procrastination. I
would neverencourage anyone to halt their pursuit of perfection. That’s not
what I’m recommending here. What I’mrecommending is to continue moving towards
ones GOAL or objective while still in pursuit of perfection. One is unlikelyto
find perfection but thepursuit itself will likely lead you to EXCELLENCE.
Some peoplebelieve that excellence and perfection
are identical twins. Theyare not. Perfection does not guaranteeexcellence and
excellence does not requireperfection. There are few things that waste more
time thandoing something perfectly that doesn’t need to be done at all.
(Many a times my wife points out!!!!)
Excellencedoes require patience. Needs an understanding that patience
is the acceptance that things canhappen in a different order than one has
inmind. Knowinghow perfection could be achieved is not aprerequisite to
starting. Even knowing what perfectlooks like is not required to begin.
Get on moving and whatever knowledge gaps one has in the beginningwill get
filled up along the way.
Onewill rarely finda perfect time to begin anything (
including RAHU KALAM). If one is not sure when or where to start ,thenstart
with one that is sure and that it is right thing to do.First step does not need
to be a giant leap. Baby steps are okay and though they may be small they
areconsiderably better than no step at all.
Nomatter how long the journey, how lofty our goal or how big our dream,
oursuccess will begin with a single step. Never forget this simple fact.
Thepursuit of perfection is an honourable pursuit. It is theattainment of
excellence however which will lead to one to ultimate and undeniable success.
Chaseperfection today and very likely to discover the excellencetomorrow.
