Respected sirs,
I could not control my laugh after reading "Nellinekathe Kuru(seed inside
paddy) for hours. If the Nampoothiri  said Aari( rice) God might  have
considered it as Hari, which the mother intended.

At least Ajamila got moksham by calling his son Narayana in his last moments .
But one in our community may think- why should I call?

Dear Sri Laxminarayan Sarma and Sri Gopalakrishna
Thanks for the tale of the namboothiri.
I am more familiar with the naaraayaneeyam of another namboothiri, Shree
Melpathur Naarayana Bhattathiri, who in his 27th year condensed the entire
vishnu bhaagavatham of about 18,000 verses into a hundred cantos of 1034 verses.
I am also familiar with the story of super-villain Ajaamila (we have one such
in our community) who lived a life of unspeakable atrocities, offences, crimes
and sins, and was saved from the clutches of yama-doothas by pure accident in
his last moments because he called upon his son named Naaraayana when in his
throes before death.
But, how many of us can remember to utter the names of Bhagavaan Sree
Naaraayana or of Lord Shiva (Hari and Hara) at the last moment of our own lives?

I would also plead with Brahmasri Narayanaswami Iyer, a Vedic Scholar of
repute, a Sanskrit Pandit, , a renowned jurist, a linguist, the  Bheeshma

outbursts of a certain guy, and continue sharing his knowledge, wisdom.and

At the same time let us not fail to appreciate , adore and applaud the clarity,
candidness and competence of Narayanaswami Anna for his prolific scholarly
output, when, almost all if us , at his age wouid be in adult diapers
struggling to even breathe, leave alone remembering our own names .
So what if Anna chides us, scolds us and , at times , resorts to certain "theri
words" let's take it as Aashirvadam and  benefit FROM his wisdom
Remember, it's not very iften that God gifts brilliant andanars like our
Narayanaswamy Anna. Let's consider ourself fortunate and blessed to have a
great soul like our beloved Anna in our midst.
Let's pray to God Almighty to grant  many more years to Anna so that he can
continue informing us, educating us and enriching us

Also the beautiful legend about Nampoothiri- I could imagine many things from

 Dear GopalaKrishnan-ji
What is chronic, congenital and is part of a guy's DNA cannot be wished away
Reminds me of a foul-mouthed Namboodiri of easy virtue, whose vocabularly would
turn EVEN a  a sailor's face  red with shame
This guy lay on his deathbed. Concerned that he should get satgathi after
death', his pious aunt, wanted him to at least make him utter the word Hari.
Now the word Ari (rice) is phonetically closest to Hari.
So she picked up a grain of Ari and asked him what it was
But the inveterate man, grinned at her and replied, "Nellil ulla kuru",
meaning, The Grain in the Husk"

Dear Sri G K,
Just saw your Mail and am writing this as you have mentioned my name.
Sri L S thought I was not fair in my first Mail and my response that I neither
supported nor criticized anyone in particular  but appealed to all in general,
seems to have satisfied him.
As stated by another member in Tamizh, let us leave bygones as bygones and move
on, leaving this episode behind us.
I am writing this because you have mentioned my name in your Mail and I don't
want to be dragged into another discussion, even if unwittingly, one that can
turn bitter.
You just saw the Quote I sent earlier today " Too much discussions lead to
Quarrel" and let us avoid further discussions on this subject - we have had too
much already.
Please, let us get on with life.

Respected friends,
Though waited for two days, a sentence of regret  and excuse has not found in
the mails  from Mr Rajaram.
Mr Narayanaswamy, a member 98 years has expressed regret, LN Sarma expressed
regret. I have also expressed regret  for any sort of messages  if appeared
disturbing  to Mr Rajaram.
But it is astonishing that nothing came from Mr Rajaram who is the first one to
start abusing in Tamil. Now his response is why should he  regret and he is
targeted by others.Poor Mr Rajaram- He will drink water too by chewing!!!

So it appears Mr Rajaram is not going to regret as usual. In earlier two
occasions too Mr Narayanaswamy expressed regret. Mr Rajaram did not expressed
any regret.
All the efforts taken by other members have become FUTILE again.

If Mr Narayanaswamy or any other member respond sarcastically to Mr Rajaram,
the reason is never admitting mistakes and abusing others by Mr Rajaram.

Not late- Without finding fault with Mr Sekar etc, I request Mr Rajaram to
express regret for his abusing mails. If not, he is targeted does not carry any
meaning.
The person who ate salt will have to drink more and more water
