It appears after the enactment of the Nirbhaya act,mere allegation of rape by any woman,must be noted by the police and they have to arrest the targeted person.The police cannot avoid the arrest. As a result many rackets,consisting of corrupt police,prostitutes,fake media have sprouted and many false allegations are threatened for extortion. Many innocent persons are today languishing in the jails.The blackmailing appears to have become an epidemic in Punjab,Haryana,Rajasthan and few other states.Often teenagers are actually enticed into sex and then victimized.
