CULTURAL QA 01202404

Q1 Is it true that the ancestors of Pakistanis were Hindu?

KR Our results related to these four populations are consistent
with our hypothesis that most the Pakistani populations have a gene pool
derived from Central Asia and European populations. Modern-day Pakistan was
the main gateway to India and thus Pakistani populations are mosaic of
European and Central Asian populations. My personal results showed me being
56% South Asian, 35% Central, and about 7% European, with some ambiguous
DNA. These results show that Pakistanis are a combination of both Indians
and foreigners who have entered the area throughout history. As far as the
Muslims of India are concerned, it is a little complicated than the simple
converted Indians as Muslim, as most Indian back ground did not migrate to
Pakistan.

Q2 What is the bad thing about Indian parents?

KR Silly question since, bad people are only in minority; as in
our groups only 3 are spoiling the broth; so can we blame the whole society
and the groups?

Q3 What is the craziest science fact you know?

A3 Jean-Marie Valheur, just an amateur who loves some science
WedIn 1992, a healthy couple donated an embryo to a hospital. The embryo
was frozen for 28 years until 2020, when she was implanted into the womb of
a woman who had been struggling with fertility issues. And then after a
healthy, uneventful pregnancy, little Molly Gibson was born, 28 years after
having been frozen cryogenically in a laboratory — the longest-frozen
embryo in human history to be successfully placed, and born.

KR Is the above craziest? Any one can write in support of the
craziness as depicted if they are convinced.

Q5 What is the interesting incident of the rich young women wanted
to change her seat when a poor man sat near her in the flight?

A5 Matthew Brooks, Oct 9

A rich young woman sat beside a poor elderly man on a plane. She alerted
the flight attendant upon taking her seat.

The flight attendant answered warmly, when the woman abruptly said, “Please
find me another seat immediately.” The flight attendant responded, “I’m
sorry Ma’am, but the economy cabin is fully booked.”

‘The rich woman replied, “But I’m not going to travel beside a worthless
bum. Do something.”

While the elderly man stared in disbelief, the flight attendant responded,
“I’ll talk to the Captain about this.”

The flight attendant went to the Captain and asked, “Captain, a woman feels
uncomfortable sitting beside a poor elder man. What should we do?”

Surprisingly, the Captain’s face changed. He looked amused and said, “This
woman is interesting. I’ve never encountered an issue like this before. I
have a plan. Listen..”

And the Captain relayed to the flight attendant what he wants to do. The
flight attendant was stunned at his plan. In fact, she was amazed.

A few minutes later, the flight attendant returned. “The Captain said we
could use an open seat in First Class. He also wants to apologize for
having to travel with such a terrible person.”

As the woman rose out of her seat, the flight attendant reached out her arm
towards the poor elderly man. “Sir will you please follow me?” To which the
plane applauded.

***Never look down on other people. We are all equal in God’s sight.

*CULTURAL QA 01-2024-04*

*All the BELOW QA are from Quora digest to me on 04-01-2024. *

*Quora answers need not be 100% correct answers *

*.Compiled and posted by R. Gopala krishnan, on 04-01-2024*

*Q1 Is it true that the ancestors of Pakistanis were Hindu?*

*A1 Muhammad Aamir Khokhar, Pakistani Punjabi Muslim l History
Buff 4y*

*I have covered this up many a times but Zeshan Mahmood response is
bringing me back in the ring.*

*Were the ancestors of Pakistanis not Hindu?*

*Yes majority of Pakistanis who live in Punjab and Sindh have Hindu
ancestry. But that will not be correct to say every Pakistani has Hindu
ancestry.*

*There is no point to disrespect Hindus/Hinduism altogether being a
Pakistani nor it is a benchmark to prove my patriotism. Our complicated
nature of relationship with India at state level doesn't mean we should
maintain rigid and biased opinions towards Hinduism. I earlier finished one
of my response few hours before where I was giving credit to Pakistan as
birthplace of Hinduism.*

*To all those Pakistani friends who don't know.*

*The word Hindu/Hinduism was abbreviated from river Indus which currently
passes in modern day Pakistan. In addition, Hindu is also geographical term
refers to a person who lives in suburbs of Northwest parts of River Indus.*

*Lahore (Luv) and Kasoor (Kush) were sons of Rama.*

*Karachi was named under one Hindu Saint Mai Golachi.*

*Rawalpindi is named after epic character of folkfare Rawal-Jugni.*

*Peshawar is abbreviated from Purushpura (Sanskrit) which means “City of
Men”.*

*Taxila (now Rawalpindi) is privileged to have one of the oldest university
of the world. It was important center of Hinduism and Budhism. Even Taxila
is abbreviated name of Thaksha which was son of Lord Bharat.*

*The inhabitants of Indus Valley and Gandhara Valley were mostly
Hindus/Buddhists.*

*Just giving you an example out of the box, this is currency note of
Indonesia (largest Muslim country in the world). And some of you might get
shocked to see the sign of Lord Ganesha is at 20K Rupiah.*

*It is my humble request to not feel any shame. Due to our consistent
denial, we are consistently getting such kind of questions one after
another at social media. We need to keep this fact in mind that Islam is
only 1.4k years old religion and obviously there were people who were
following other faiths. It is understandable our ancestors were following
other religions before Islam. Even if we take as Arab ancestry for a while,
many people in Arab were idol worshipers before Islam. Hinduism at the
other end is widely considered as one of the oldest religion in the world
and was most practiced in modern day Pakistan before the arrival of Islam.
Denial of history will create more embarrassment for us internationally.*

*Q2 What is the bad thing about Indian parents?*

*A2 Anil Roongta, Former Member at Consumer Court 8h( A medical
doctor with post graduate degree and former IAS )*

*One of my brothers in law is a very successful doctor. He has two sons.*

*His elder son wanted to study arts. He had no interest in science. But his
father forced him to take science and prepare for engineering. That poor
kid took science.*

*He couldn’t clear engineering entrance examinations. His father willy
nilly got him admission in a private engineering college somewhere in a
southern state. *

*That boy studied there for two years and failed in almost all subjects. He
then left the college and ran away to his uncle who was in Delhi. He later
did his BA from an open university and is working with an NGO. He rarely
talks to his parents.*

*Indian parents are very protective of their children and are highly
concerned about their education, career and future but at the same time are
very pushy and want to decide everything for the children. And I find this
as a very bad trait.*

*Q4 What is the interesting joke of a young Catholic couple was
involved in a fatal car accident on their way to get married?*

*A4 Jokes, Humour & Funny stories Posted by Rebecca, Sep 20*

*On their way to get married, a young Catholic couple was involved in a
fatal car accident. They are now in Heaven. *

*The couple found themselves sitting outside the Pearly Gates waiting for
St. Peter to process them into Heaven.*

*While waiting they began to wonder; could they possibly get married in
Heaven?*

*When St. Peter arrived, they asked him if they could get married in
Heaven.*

*St. Peter said,"I don't know. This is the first time anyone has asked. Let
me go find out," and he left.*

*The couple sat and waited for an answer... for a couple of months.*

*While they waited, they discussed the pros and cons. If they were allowed
to get married in Heaven, should they get married, what with the eternal
aspect of it all?*

*"What if it doesn't work? Are we stuck in Heaven together forever?"*

*Yet another month passed before St. Peter finally returned, looking
somewhat bedraggled.*

*"Yes," he informed the couple, "You can get married in Heaven."*

*"Great!" said the couple.*

*"But we were just wondering; what if things don't work out? Could we also
get a divorce in Heaven?"*

*St. Peter, red-faced with anger, slammed his clipboard on the ground.*

*"What's wrong?" asked the frightened couple.*

*"OH, COME ON!" St. Peter shouted.*

*"It took me 3 months to find a priest up here! Do you have ANY idea how
long it'll take to find a lawyer?!*

*My note- I enjoyed the joke very much.*
