Q1             Whatis the funniest joke you've been told that you still think
about to this day?

A1             PeterWheeler, Mon

After a long life ofservice to his flock, Father Murphy passed away. St. Peter
meets him at The PearlyGates and looks up the record of his life in his book.

“Father! You’ve led amost wonderful life serving the Church and your parish,
spreading God’s wordand love to everyone you met. I’m very impressed. As a
reward for your years offaithful service, God has said that I can grant you one
request.”

Father Murphy thinks for a moment before answering. “St.Peter, I’ve long wished
that Icould read the original writings of the Bible as they were set down by
theApostles. It is well known that the Good Book has changed over themillennia,
as language and beliefs have changed, and I would really like to seehow things
have changed. Would I be able to do that?”

“Of course,” St. Peter replied.“Follow me.” St. Peter then led Father Murphy
down a corridor where heopened a large door to a room filled with books. “This
is the Great Library, where we keep all the original texts. Feel free to read it
all.” He then left to resume his duties atThe Gates.

A few hours later, St. Peter heard a blood curdlingscream coming from the
library, and ran to investigate.

 “Father!” Heexclaimed. “What’s wrong?”

“It says CELEBRATE! There’s an “R”!!!”

Q2             Whydid Draupadi ridicule Duryodhana? Is it right to insult
someone based on theirfamily background?

A2             GokulRenjith, Lives in India (1999–present)2h

Nothing like this happened. Draupadi never ridiculed Duryodhana. She was not
even present in the scene.

On seeing him fall into the water, the servants laughed outin delight and on
the instructions of the king, gave him fresh clothes. Onseeing him in that
fashion, the immensely strong Bhimasena, and Arjuna and thetwins, all burst out
in laughter. Since he was incapable of bearing insults, hecould not tolerate
this. To save his face, he did not even look at them. Heagain drew up his
clothes to ascend firm land and all the people again laughedout aloud.
268(43), Dyuta Parva,Mahabharata.

When Duryodhana fell into the lake, Bhima, Arjuna,Nakula, Sahadeva and the
servants laughed at this. This is a very natural reaction.Nobody made any
insulting comments about Duryodhana. Draupadi is not mentionedat all.

2. Later Duryodhana lies to Dhritarashtra that Draupadilaughed at him.

On seeing the place full of lotuses, I took it to be water. On seeing me draw up
my clothes, Vrikodara laughed at me. He thought me to bedevoid of riches and
deluded by the superior wealth of the enemy. O descendantof the Bharata
lineage! Had I possessed the ability, I would have killedVrikodara there. The
derision of a rival burns me. O lord of men! I again saw a similar pond full of
lotuses. Thinking it to be made out ofcrystal, I fell into the water. At this,
Krishna and Partha laughed out loudlyat me, and so did Droupadi and the other
women.271(46),Dyuta Parva, Mahabharata.

3. How do we know that Duryodhana is lying ? It's becausehe also says that Lord
Krishna laughed at him. However lord Krishna had already returned to
Dwarakabefore the incident happened -

Keshava then bade farewell to Subhadra and Droupadi. Then, accompanied by
Yudhishthira, he came out of the inner quarters. O great king! After he had
bathed and prayed and the brahmanas had blessed him, Daruka yokedthe
beautifully constructed chariot that looked like a cloud and came. It hadthe
great Garuda on the banner. The great-souled Pundariksha thencircumambulated it
and ascending, departed for the city of Dvaravati.  267(42), Sishupala-badha
Parva, Mahabharata.

So Duryodhana is clearly exaggerating the incident byblaming people who were
not even present in the scene. Neither Draupadinor Krishna was present during
the incident.

Q3             Why isthe statue of Lord Ram black in colour?

A3             AkhandPratap Singh,Be true to Yourself Mon

The statue of Shri RAM is black in colour because of twoReasons:

1- He has beendepicted Shyam in colour in various religious texts. Maharshi
Valmiki has also depictedhim as Shyam. Inone of the paragraphs when the trio of
Ramji, Sitaji and Laxman Ji werecrossing a jungle, Advasis of that jungle asked
Sita Ji, whoamong the both is your husband, she replied the one who isShyam in
colour is my husband, because in our Hindutradition, we don’t take name of our
husband.

Also the statue is made up of very special Blackstone knownas Krishna Shila,
which is a three-billion-year-old rock found in South India.

2- Also , there is ascientific reason that the statue is black or made from
Krishna Shila and in our Hindu religion we worshipGod with water, flowers,
Chandan, Milk, Roli and we wanted this statue to lastfor thousands of years, so
other stones may get degraded quickly overthe time but this will last longer.
Jai Sri Ram.

Q4             Whatis your most loved joke ever? Even if you remember it now,
you can't controlyour laughing.

A4             JohnLeatherman, Sun

Three guys show up at the Pearly Gates. St. Peter asks themhow they died.

The first guy says, “Icam home and found some guy robbing my apartment. I
chased him onto the balcony, where I see two hands gripping the railing. He
thinks he can hide from me byhanging over the edge. So Ipicked up this
refrigerator I keep on the balcony and dropped it on him.But it was way heavier
than I thought it would be, so I got a heart attackfrom the exertion and died.”

The second guy says, “I was doing a trampoline workout on mybalcony and bounced
over the railing. As I fell, I grabbed therailing of the balcony below. Then
this refrigerator fell on me, and I died.”
