Q3         Whatfunny thing did your maid ever do to you?

A3         VijayaLakshmi, Have experience in life for 68 years.4y

My domestic help Lakshmi, who is inher fifties, does not like to waste anything
in the house.

A few years back I purchased one bathroom cleaner which looks like this:

I never keep the brush inside theholder, because the dirty water again drips
into the holder and the brush wouldnever be clean. I would rather hang it on
the wall, so that water drips down.

Soafter purchasing this brush, I had thrown the holder in the dust bin.

When I came into the drawing roomafter having my bath I saw that brush holder
innocently sitting on the center table of the drawingroom.

“Who put this toilet brush stand in thedrawing room?” I shouted.

“Ammagaru (ma’am), why do you want to throwsuch a cute thing in the dust bin?
You can use it as a flower vase. I will bring some flowers in theevening and
keep them in that thing” she said innocently.

I didn’t know whether to admire hercuteness or to put my palm across my face.

“Lakshmi, yours is a cute idea. But people here may not like seeinga toilet
brush holder on the same table where they keep tea cups. Youjust sell it to
raddi walah (person who buys thrash) and take that money” Isaid.

She was happy and I was relieved!

Q5         What are some of the most heartwarming, touching stories?

A5         RishabhDatta.Blogger, IT Engineer, Web Developer, Dreamer, God's
Believer5h

A gentleman was sitting at therailway station waiting for the train, then a boy
came and said: “Sir, shall Ipolish your shoes?”

Seeing his pathetic face, thegentleman stretched his shoes, said, “please,
shine properly.”

Boy started working slowly, butdidn't have inspiration like other polishers.

That gantleman mentioned~ “How do youwork slowly?” Hurry up and run your hands
a lil quickly!

That boy remained silent.

Another boy came after watching thisand grabbed the opportunity. He separated
that guy immediately and put intowork himself. The earlier one stood aside like
a dumb. The other one shined theshoes quickly.

Now whom to give that money forpolishing the shoes? The gentleman put their
hands in the pocket consideringthis. He thought now these two would have a
quarrel or fight for money. Then hethought, The one who worked, should get the
price. So he paid the boy who comelater.

He took money but put it on the palmof the boy who came first and mentioned,
it's fine, tapped his back and walkedaway.

That gantleman man kept watching withamazed eyes and he immediately called the
boy back and asked, what's this?

The boy mentioned, "Sir! He fellfrom a moving train three months ago. Suffered
a lot of injuries to the handsand legs. By God's gracethis poor man survived
otherwise what would have happened to his old mother andsisters, he is very
self respecting human being and can't beg for food andother things.

Then he stopped a bit and said ~"Sir! Here is our group of shoe polishers and
he is our beloved uncle justlike a ‘Devta’, whom we all call 'Satsangi
Chachaji'. He goes to satsang andkeep telling us about satsang everyday. Our
group only suggested that, now hecan't work as it used to do before, so what?

God has given us all an opportunityto express active interest, sacrifice,
affection, empathy, and oneness towardsour partner.

Just like back, stomach, face, hands, legs are different, the same way we all
look different from our body, but sameat the soul level. We’re all one!!!!

All of us colleagues at the stationdecided that we would pay him a pair of
shoes polishing on daily basis and helphim with the work if needed.''

The gentleman was amazed to see suchheight of mutual love, cooperation, unity
and humanity in the group of shoepolishers and tapped his back happily.

And started thinking, maybe “humanityis still alive.”
