Citrusfruits like oranges, grapefruits, and lemons are generally considered

excessiveconsumption of fruit juices or dried fruits, may not be ideal for the

Q2         Would you tell me a good joke?

A2          Pete Jones,16h

The same guygets shipwrecked a second time, but this time with a dog.

He walksaround the island and finds some wild sheep and no-one else.

However, after a long spell of, err, loneliness the sheep start to become a
likelyproposition.

He goes offto find(!) a sheep. Every time he gets near the sheep – “GRRRR!” The
dog stopshim.

Thiscontinues for a few frustrating weeks.

Then, aftera storm he finds a young woman struggling in the surf, He swims out,
rescuesher and bring her back from nearly drowning.

“I’m so, grateful” she say, fluttering herlong eyelashes, “Is there anything
at all I can thank you with?”

“Yes, take that dog for a walk!”

Q3         What is something you did in schoolthat went "down in history"?

A3       Tony Moncman    ,Lives in Columbus, OH16h

One day Iwas sleeping in class. The teacher thought they could get me by asking
me aquestion. So the teacher called on me and asked me what GDP means. I woke
upupon hearing my name called and said “it is the total value of all goods
andservices produced in a country in a given year”. Excellent said the
teacher,“Tony is the only one allowed to sleep in this class!” and I did,

Later in theyear I had this same teacher for a different class. I slept one as
well. I hadmy head down on my crossed arm. I was wearing a sweater. The teacher
called myname and said “Tony, what is the capital of Liberia?” As I raised my
head toanswer, a string of drool coming from my mouth and the imprint of my
sweater onmy forehead, I said “Monrovia” to which he replied “Once again, he is
the onlystudent that is allowed to sleep in this class!

Q4         If carnivorous creatures are sodangerous to humans, why do we not
eradicate them from existence?

A4          Ken Saladin, CEO Ken's College ofArcane Knowledge (2016–present)13h

Very fewcarnivores are dangerous to more than a few humans. Eliminate all
carnivores, however, and one of the quickest effects one might notice is that
we’d beoverrun with rats and mice. This has happened in some cities in history,
and Ihave seen it happen even on the properties of people I know when
theyover-zealously killed every snake they could. Those historic cities, and
mylocal friends, have regretted the eradication of carnivores. Farmers,
too, would suffer tremendous economic losses and maybe lose their livelihoods if
itweren’t for carnivores.

Q5         What actually happened in India afterMahabharata?

A5          Prakhar (प्रखर),Viewson religion23h

Mahabharatawas not “happy ending”. It is described that the Pandavas ruled
Hastinapur for36 years after the war in Kurukshetra. Yudhishthira was the ruler
of the KuruKingdom. After that, he retired, handed over the throne to his
grandsonParikshit, and went to Himalayas along with his brothers and wife
Draupadi. They ultimately reached heaven after a test by Dharmaraja (Yamaraj).

"Thou were indifferent to the Kurusand the Pandavas whilst they slew each
other. Therefore, O Govinda, thou shaltbe the slayer of thy own kinsmen!"

On the otherhand, Lord Krishna’s entire clan was wiped out due to the curse by
Gandhari. His sons and grandsons died fighting each other. After that, once
Krishna wassitting under a tree. A hunter named Jara misunderstood him for a
deer and shotan arrow that hit Krishna’s foot. It was a fatal injury. When Jara
came to knowthat it was not a deer but Krishna, he was very sorry. However,
Vasudevaforgave him and departed for his abode Vaikuntha.

This was theend of Lord Vishnu’s eighth avatar. It is mentioned in Bhalka
Tirtha (inSomnath, Gujarat) that Shri Krishna’s departure was the onset of
Kaliyuga.

Parikshitwas a kind ruler who followed the path of dharma. After his
coronation, heperformed three sacrifices. While performing the sacrifices he
traveledthroughout the country. Once he saw a man beating a one-legged bull
with a rod,and kicking a cow. He became angry at this sight and arrested the
man.Parikshit was about to kill him when the man revealed his true identity
asKali.

Kali beggedforgiveness from Parikshit, who forgave him but ordered him to leave
thekingdom. Kali obeyed this order and left Parikshit's kingdom. Satisfied,
thecow revealed herself as the Prithvi, who was grief-stricken for Krishna
hadreturned to his abode (Vaikuntha) and had left earth. The bull was Dharma
whoseother three legs were mutilated and he now only stood one leg in the Kali
Yuga.

Once whilehunting, King Parikshit encountered Kali Purush who asked him for a
new shelterother than his places of gambling, prostitution, vice and immoral
relationship.King Parikshit allowed him to reside in gold. Though he asked him
to reside ingold, the crown of King happened to be of gold, eventually Kali
Purush enteredKing's mind.

Kalicorrupted Parikshit’s mind and made him do evil tasks. Parikshit was made
totoss a dead snake around a meditating sage’s neck. His son was angry at
thissight and cursed Parikshit to die of snake bite within 7 days.
Parikshitreturned to his senses. Sage ordered his disciple to tell Parikshit
about thiscurse, but the king accepted his fate eventually. Takshaka came to
the king inform of an insect in fruits and bit Parikshit, which eventually led
to hisdeath.

AfterParikshit’s death, his son Janamejaya became the Kuru ruler and vowed to
seekrevenge by obliterating snakes from the earth. He organised Sarpasastra
(snakesacrifice) yajna. However, the yajna was eventually stopped on
Indra’sintervention and Astika’s boon from Janamejaya. After the yagna was
stoppedVaishampayana who was sitting beside Vedavyasa, the author of
Mahabharata, started narrating the epic story of Mahabharata to Janamejaya,
where Astika andother Brahmins had also assembled at the venue.

Now all thisplot of Mahabharata is set in middle-Vedic period (around 12th to
9th centuryBCE). The Kuru family tree after Janamejaya is not known. After
themiddle-Vedic period, Kuru kingdom declined and eventually ceased to
exist.Sramanic philosophies began to arise in the Indian subcontinent which
gave riseto new kingdoms and new religions (Jainism, Buddhism, Ajivika) and
even thehistoric Vedic religion underwent big changes. The kingdoms in eastern
Indialike Magadha gained prominence and gave rise to powerful dynasties.
Differentforms of Prakrit became popular among the masses.
