Thanks.

There was no way I could remove the words "Great" in the Quote I fwded as
it was embedded there.

But I would not have used that word if I was referring to it in another
mail.

Any way, the purpose of my writing was only to explain how we are
brainwashed as I explained in my mail.

I will write as to how these tactics are used, more subtly, in a later
mail. Purpose is to create awareness and not to find faults.

Dear Mr Sekar,

In the quote it was from Alexander *the Great* it was simply repeated in my
response. Nothing more. Why the great is added is of History.

Dear Sri G K,

*Please don't take this as a personal attack - IT IS NOT and I myself was
guilty of this in the past until I happened to read the gist of which I am
giving below. It is just to highlight how our minds are conditioned by
repeated reading / listening. When I say "you" here, it is not aimed at
you personally, but used as a figure pf speech.*

In fact my mail is addressed to all who are brain washed by the West who
designed our "Modern" education system - and that includes myself.
Fortunately I am coming out of that rut by reading and listening to those
who are exposing their methods.

Ok, It is the West that calls Alexander "The Great". But why should we
repeat it and why we can't just say Alexander, and if you want add "King
of Macedonia".

What was or is so great about him? Except that he conquered lands? What
great things had he done for the posterity to remember him and be grateful
to him?

We had our "Karikalan", the Chozha King who built the "Kallanai" near
Trichy and which is there even today helping in irrigating acres and acres
of land, providing food for many thousands. We don't call him Great.

We had of course Raja Raja Chozha, who in addition to conquering lands,
built the famous "Brigadeeswarar Temple aka BIG Temple". We don't call him
Great.

We had his son, Rajendra Chozha who excelled his father in ALL FIELDS and
also built the equally awe inspiring "Gangai Konda Chozhapuram" temple
whose Annabhishekam is famous till today. We don't call him Great.

What about the famous "Maurya and the Gupta Dynasties" and we all know
their achievements.
 We don't call

Chandra Gupta Maurya or Samudra Gupta Maurya "Greats".

We don't call the Emperor of the Vijayanagaram Empire, Krishnadevaraya
Great - in spite of what he had done for the arts and culture of Bharat?

Why? why? Why?

Because starting with Macaulay and continued and promoted further by the
Nehruvian Govt post1947 (instead of correcting the distortions they
actively encouraged and built upon it).

Needless to say how self styled historians like "Romilla Thapar" and her
ilk made sure we would be blind to our own achievements but promote how
great our invaders were and there is a crowd even today, a big one at that,
which swallows all these and more.

I will write later how this brain washing continues even today, in more
subtler ways and we swallow them hook, line and sinker.

*Respected Sir/s,*
An army of sheep led by a LION is better than an army of lions led by a
SHEEP." ~ Alexander The Great.

   - Lead with bravery.
   - Bring the best out of your people.
   - Back yourself, back your ability.

Teach them well, back their ability.
The quote conveys the idea that the *quality of leadership is more
important than the strength or courage of individual followers.*

In the context of the quote, an army of lions, which are typically seen as
powerful and fierce animals, *led by a sheep, which is perceived as meek
and timid, would likely not be very effective* *because the strong
individuals are being directed by a WEAK leader.* Conversely, an army of
sheep, which are typically seen as docile and vulnerable animals, led by a
lion, a symbol of strength and courage, could be a formidable force because
the strong leader is* guiding and directing* the weaker individuals.
Therefore, the quote suggests that the *effectiveness and success of a
group or organization often depend more on the quality of leadership rather
than the abilities or characteristics of the followers.* A strong, *capable*
leader can *inspire and guide others to achieve great things, regardless of
their individual strengths or weaknesses.*

Examples:

   1. *GAIUS JULIUS CAESAR *was a lion-like general. The battle of Alesia,
where he defeated a united—and huge—army of Gauls, led by an equally
charismatic leader, Vercingetorix by* his brilliant strategies and
   tactics. *
   2. *HITLER* was a not a good man. *However, he was an incredible,
charismatic leader who knew how to identify the manpower he marshalled to
his cause.* Nazi soldiers were not necessarily bad men. But they did
what they were told to do. Either they actually admired their führer and
believed in his particular belief system, which included the idea that the
Germanic or Aryan race was superior; or they did what they were told
because they were afraid to do otherwise in the pervasive culture in which
they found themselves. Hitler’s army were sheep-like, yet they were a
   formidable enemy.
   3. *FRANKLIN DELANO ROOSEVELT*inspired American soldiers about their own
role as protector of their European allies and the rightness of their cause
to defeat Hitler, and Emporer Hirohito, as well. There were many U.S.
generals, colonels, etc. in WW2 who led their men like a lion, as well.

* IF one has have a strong leader then will have a strong army. So if
the army is lead by sheep, sheep are timid and afraid. Therefore, they lack
the authority to be good leaders! Now on the other case, lions are a
dominant force that show no fear. They make good leaders because c they
have no fear. So in turn, they would instill this in the sheep…their army,
not to be afraid!!*

* It means no matter how good the men are if the leader is weak they
will fail..and in reverse a good leader can take weak men and lead them to
victory.*

* The sheep is an animal that lives life as a reaction
to stimuli. They’re programming is to survive, and seek gratification.
Hungry, they eat. Thirsty, they drink. Horny, they fornicate. When
threatened they run. Everything about them is highly predictable. They will
also blindly follow another sheep without any understanding of the other
sheep, or situational awareness. Sheep are victims of their own
circumstances, which they feel powerless to change.*

*The lion is very different. A lion doesn’t just react. The lion has
another step between stimuli and reaction. This step is the variable
determined by experience and logic, which is how the lion chooses how it
will react. This allows them to determine the best positioning for the
kill, by analyzing the environment, behaviour of the prey, and use both to
force the sheep into a circumstance where they can make the kill.*
*Essentially, the opinion of the sheep is worthless to the lion because the
sheep lacks relevant perspective, as well as the understanding of how to
determine ones circumstances by determining their reaction.*
