His sister wasexpecting and was staying with him for delivery. One late night she becameterribly sick and the DM called the head of gynaecology department of thegovernment hospital to come and check her. She was a very senior doctor andvery well respected in the district. She advised the DM to bring his sister tothe hospital for a thorough check up. The DM reluctantlytook his sister to the hospital and that doctor also reached. While she waschecking that woman with otter junior doctors, that woman became irritated andslapped the doctor. The DM also shouted on the doctor. That doctor and theentire staff of the hospital immediately left the hospital. The DM tried hislevel best to call her back but neither she nor any other doctor came. The newsspread in the entire city and all the doctors came in support of that ladydoctor. That IAS officerhad to bring her sister to the capital by car for treatment. I think that’s arare case. Normally bureaucrats and doctors in a city maintain cordialrelationships and doctors do visit IAS officers at their residences. But an IASofficer can’t order a doctor to leave hospital during duty hours and come tohis residence. It doesn’t normally happen. My note- Most watching Kerala news may know the QA isasked based on a recent incident in Trivandrum, where the District collectorasked a doctor from Trivandrum medical college to inspect his toe infection inthe morning busy hours at medical college. Lions commonly huntwater buffalo, with some prides hunting them almost exclusively. Both prey arevery dangerous, but water buffalo are far more manageable to tackle. (As theycan be smothered by a kiss of death or throat hold-not true for hippos) Usually, multiplepride members are needed to take a buffalo down. (& far easier w a male inthe mix) but I've seen single females take one down as well as single males.These are outliers, but it happens. These individuals make it look easy but farmore often an entire pride is foiled by buffalo. Either rescued by herd membersor underestimated the fitness of the cow/bull they targeted.
