Sir,
Goat milk also cannot be used to make curd. Rajasthan camel milk diary is a new
information to me. Thank you for the additions.

Sir,
Being an Indian, you would have specified Rajasthan where  camel's milk is used
in Asia/India. I have read elsewhere Cleopatra used to take bath in ass milk to
maintain her beauty.

----Respected Sir,Your kind response has instigated (       ) me to KNOWnow and
LEARN more.----
Respected Sir,

Severalanimals produce milk.

Theyare all known as mammals. MILK is only produced by Mammals. Milk can only
bedefined as the secretion of the mammary gland of a mammal. Mosthumans taste
at least twoin their lives, human and cow milk.

HUMANS consume milk mostly produced by cow, buffalo or goat butin some parts of
the world they also consume milk produced by camel, yak, sheep and even horses.
Milkfrom these animals has been used for human consumption worldwide since
ancienttimes.

Milks in order of suitability for infanthumans:-

1.  HUMAN MILK…. contains670 individual components will never be replicated.
Drawndirect from the breast is at exact correct temperature, flow rate,
andcomposition, being not damaged by pasteurisation. Pasteurisation
destroysunhealthy bacteria, also kills healthy essential bacteria. Swabbing
nipplesalso destroys natural bacteria needed to develop an infant’s immune
system.

2.  Many learned folks believethat human milk directfrom the breast cures
several forms of adult disease.

3. Camelmilk, like human milk lacks B-lacto globulin and A1B-casein
proteinwhich are considered causes of intolerances andallergies in humans.

A1 B-caseinprotein is considered a mutation found in some dairy cattle but not
all. Many breeds ofdairy cattle produce only A2 protein as do humans and all
other mammals.

4. COW MILK isthe mildest, most flavourless milk. It has a sweet, watery taste.
I've only hadhomogenized cow milk, which has been treated to keep the fat from
separatingout, so the fat in the milk sort of coats your tongue.

5. GOAT MILK tasteslike goats.  They have a distinctivesmell. Goat milk taste
like the goat smell, which is caused by capricacid. Goat milk has a little
higher fat than cow milk.

6.  SHEEPMILK …is not commonly drunk fresh. Milk tastes a lotlike goat's milk.

7. YAK MILK.  THE MILK IS PINK!. NORMALLYmade into YOGURT.

8. WATR BUFFALO MILK is traditionallyused to make some cheeses and pretty mild.

9. HORSE MILK tasteslike a mild alcoholic drink (about 9%alcohol). It has a
strong taste, like roasted chestnuts crossed with parmesancheese, and quite
salty. In Mongolia, Horsemilk is common. They even make a fermented drink out
of it.

Horse milk most resembles mother’smilk from humans.

10.          CAMEL MILK is fromfemale camels. It has supportednomad and
pastoral cultures since the domestication of camels’ millennia ago.Camelmilk
has different nutritional characteristics from cow milk. Many Arabs who were
herdsmen lived off the milk from theircamels. Camelmilk is thinner and less
viscous than milk of cow, buffalo, sheep, goat, yak etc.Camel milk protein
compositions are very close to human milk and it doesnot produce allergy in
children.Milkis slightly salty but acceptable taste. Can be kept for longer
duration atroom temperature than other milks. Scientists have reported that
fresh camel milk canbe kept for 8 hr. at 30°C, pasteurized camel milk can last
for more than 10days at 4ºC.            CURD CANNOT BE MADE FROM CAMEL MILK.
Researchers have reported that due to highcontent of insulin in camel milk, its
consumption plays aneffective role in management of Type-Idiabetes in human
beings. It has also been reported to be effective in health management of
different types of tuberculosis inhumans. Special immunisingproteins only found
in camel milk have anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.Their unique
molecularstructure enablesthem to reach the lower layers of your skin and hair,
making the camel milk soeffective in soothing, healingand protecting our body
and skin; ideal for sensitive and problematic skin.

RAJASTHAN CAMEL MILKDIARY

The camel is part of the landscape ofRajasthan; the icon of the desertstate,
part of its cultural identity, and aneconomically important animal for
desertcommunities. Thecamel pastoralists of Rajasthan believe that Shiva
created them to be theguardians of the camel. They are thecustodians of a long
and proud heritage which goes back at least 600 years. Butcamel numbers are
plummeting.

India’s first exclusive camel milkdairy is all set to start operations in JUNE
2024 this month in Rajasthan. Camel Milk costs

Rs120/liter.The modest stock of 110 litres that the facility plans toconserve
initially will also be made available in other states as per demand.

The dairy will rear 32 breeds of themost productive camels and will, besides
marketing the milk in pouches and asvalue-added products such as flavoured milk
and ice-cream, will also have alaboratory to study variations in production on
account of seasonal changes.

The National Research Centre onCamel will oversee the dairy.
“100 camel breederswill be associated with it and it will follow scientific
methods of storingmilk and making different products from it,” saysProfessor K
Pathak, the centre’s director.

Pathak says the centrehad begun studying thetherapeutic value of camel milk and
foundevidence to suggestthat it could be helpful in controllingdiabetes.
“Thiscentre has already developed a camel milk-based cosmetic cream and isnow
toying with the idea of swappingcamel bone for ivory,”

The Gujarat government, with dairyproducer AMUL, has been supporting
thedevelopment of camel milk dairy since 2011, and has just started marketing
it in selected locations inGujarat.
