*Mar*Space Travel

According to Bill Bryson, there are seven octillion cells in one’s body.
Several times the number of those cells, there are bacteria, whose function
is to enable the cells to function.

Suppose one lands on the Moon or Mars. It means that all those bacteria in
one are landing there. To land there, one needs a space-ship which
functions as a mini earth. One is actually a part of earth and one can live
only as a part of earth. When one lands on Mars one must become part of
Mars or confine oneself in the Space-ship which is a mini earth. Can one
fight one’s mutation into an organism that becomes part of Mars?

The meaning and purpose of life of a bacterium in you, which lives for just
twenty minutes, is to enable you to live. That is the meaning and purpose
of its life-you. Similarly the meaning and purpose of your short life is to
enable the planet earth function. On the Mars what sort of macro forces
impact on the bacteria in you?

Suppose you develop the Mars Yoga and succeed in venturing out of the
Space-ship. Then you have to become part of Mars and adjust to the
Thermodynamic situation there. Can you change into a Marsling and then into
an Earthling at will? Or do you continue as an earthling forever, and
remain arrested in the Spaceship. Does it mean that we proliferate mini
earths everywhere that is wherever we travel in space? Can the octillions
and octillions of bacteria in the Space settlers, be kept earth-centric?

Is not the settlement on Mars etc, actually fantasy and not possibility?
When we cannot venture out of the Spaceship, then are we not similar to the
infections causing bacteria in us. Infection in us means simply the
intrusion of bacteria into us which cannot adjust to the internal symbiosis
of the systems in our body.

As it is, one is part of the planet earth, which means that one is part of
the Biosphere here, where there is the symbiotic emotional and ecological
relationship with every other organism. Is it possible to become an
outsider of the earth’s ecology when one settles say on Mars?

The present methods of devising space travel is to create mini earths
everywhere, and those mini earths cannot become part of the topography of
say, Mars or Moon. But is it really possible. Can we transplant humans and
also the Biosphere of earth into the other planets?

As it is, are you able to locate a separate ‘you’ apart from the cells and
bacteria in you. Can you locate your consciousness, as a specific limb
inside your body? The feeling of ‘I’ is created by the symbiotic
functioning of the cells in me. I do not have any inhibitions to name me as
a Soul. When I speak to you I am actually speaking to your soul. The day
today interaction among us is actually the day today interaction among the
Souls.

Our Rishis actually practiced the Soul travel. It needs the basic
realization that we are part of nature and live by feelings the emanations
of nature as the manifestations of soul consciousness. It needs the basic
paradigmatic realization that the troposphere is an ocean of feelings, and
emotions via smells and sounds. Our Souls can swim and feel in the
troposphere. To free our Souls we need free nature without our tampering,
scientific or murderous euphemized as economic.

The Machine method of space travel is impossible. The only method is Soul
Travel. We need to practice, what may be termed as abstract living, or
living as Souls.

We have to realize that there are no 3D shapes in the Universe. There are
only the formless abstract flows. Manufacturing a mini earth as spaceship
that withstands the terrible heats and colds, the solar flares and the
flares from the other stars, the fatal pulls of black holes, that too by
fighting time, is simply impossible.

We need the good old Yoga.

### Space Travel and the Complexity of Human Adaptation

**The Human Microbiome and Space Travel**

1. **Human Microbiome**

   - According to Bill Bryson, the human body contains seven octillion
cells and an even greater number of bacteria that are essential for the
body's functions. These microorganisms form a critical part of our
biological ecosystem.

2. **Impact on Space Travel**

   - When a person travels to the Moon or Mars, they bring their microbiome
with them. This requires the spaceship to function as a mini-earth,
providing a controlled environment for these microorganisms to survive.

**Adapting to Extraterrestrial Environments**

1. **Environmental Challenges**

   - On Mars or the Moon, the lack of an Earth-like environment means that
a human must remain confined to a spaceship or habitat that replicates
Earth's conditions. Venturing outside would require significant adaptation
to the Martian or lunar environment, including changes in temperature,
gravity, and atmospheric composition.

2. **Biological Integration**

   - The concept of becoming part of Mars (a "Marsling") implies a profound
biological and ecological adaptation. The bacteria and other microorganisms
that are integral to human health might not survive or function optimally
outside of Earth-like conditions.

**The Role of Technology in Space Colonization**

1. **Mini-Earths**

   - Current methods of space travel involve creating self-contained
environments that replicate Earth. These mini-earths aim to support human
life in otherwise inhospitable places, but this raises questions about the
sustainability and practicality of such settlements.

2. **Human Limitation**

   - The idea of proliferating mini-earths everywhere is fraught with
challenges. Maintaining Earth-centric biological systems in space settlers
may be impractical due to the vastly different conditions of other planets.

**Philosophical and Ecological Considerations**

1. **Ecological Integration**

   - On Earth, humans are part of a complex biosphere with intricate
ecological relationships. Transplanting humans and Earth’s biosphere to
other planets involves replicating these relationships in entirely new
environments, which may not be feasible.

2. **Concept of Self**

   - The feeling of "I" or consciousness is a result of the symbiotic
functioning of cells and microorganisms within the body. This raises
questions about whether this sense of self can be maintained in radically
different environments.

**Alternative Approaches: Soul Travel and Yoga**

1. **Soul Travel**

   - Ancient practices like Soul Travel, as proposed by Rishis, emphasize a
spiritual connection with nature. This method involves abstract living and
the realization of a symbiotic relationship with the biosphere.

2. **Yoga and Abstract Living**

   - Practicing Yoga and abstract living can help individuals connect with
the formless flows of the universe, moving beyond the limitations of
physical space travel. This approach emphasizes the emotional and sensory
integration with the environment.

**Conclusion**

- **Impossibility of Machine-Based Space Travel**

  - The challenges of creating and maintaining mini-earths in space,
coupled with the adverse conditions of space travel, suggest that
traditional technological methods may be insufficient.

- **Necessity of Abstract and Spiritual Approaches**

  - Embracing ancient practices and focusing on spiritual and emotional
connections with nature may offer a more sustainable and meaningful
approach to space exploration. This involves recognizing the formless,
abstract flows of the universe and fostering a deeper connection with the
biosphere.

In summary, while the technological approach to space travel presents
significant challenges, integrating ancient practices like Yoga and
recognizing the symbiotic relationship with nature may offer alternative
paths to exploring and understanding the cosmos.
