I think many would not have forgotten as it happened only in our

and camera then). Gilgrist bounced. But he had to redo. His anger left him
in lurch with 2 balls to go still. Gilchrist bowled; Borde sent it to
boundary; chennai nehru stadium rose up (not chepauk then) . Next ball
Gilchrist bowled ; Borde went in the wrong direction and stump flew;
Alexander shook hands; Borde walked back to the pavilion. Who is the best
sports person? That's the spirit that dawned in me when I was watching from
the D stand.
Few years later, Guindy Engg college Vs Non engg college final;
VenkataRaghavan was leading the Engg team; I was vice captain in the
opposition; last ball; for us to win we had to restrict them by giving one
run only; 3 runs to win for Engg college; no camera 3rd umpire and all;
wild-west game only; my owler did deliver an excellent ball; I was in the
slip; ball passed between me and WK to four; LBW claim was made by the
bowler and WK of my team; umpire state declared it as out and we won; but I
told the umpire there was a snick and so Engg won. My team cursed me;
