my own every morning.I have written more than 2000 essays or write ups by
directly interacting with nature.I have written about Space-time,internal
hormonal communications, emotions, feelings etc besides write ups on English

*Our Proud Caste Heritage*

*All sorts of misrepresentations have been heaped on the Hindu caste
system. This was one of my write ups. There was a huge ‘scandalize Hinduism
industry’, a very profit spinning industry. Every caste actually is a
Brahmin Caste, with its own caste path.*

*Let us take one or two castes as samples to understand what a caste in
India means.*

*A Nai Brahmin is a great artist in music. He has a large number of tunes,
a life of innovations of new tunes that strives to copy the grandeur of
nature in the splendour of melody. His is the musical path towards
enlightenment. And he takes care of the most important organ of the
people-the head, to make it ready for the reception of the spiritual
glimpses. People today, who have no idea of our heritage, think of him as a
lowly barber. But the people that bring the Mangala Vadyam (the melodious
music of the Mangali) during the marriages, and separate music for each
occasion were great artists of the NADASWARAM.*

*Take any caste—carpenters, Gold Smiths...each caste has a wonderful
sublime path, giving pride, sense of identity, sense of belonging and above
all pride in belonging to the ultimate enlightenment—the Great Hindu Light.
Each caste has its own Temples.*

*When barter based on customs, traditions, sense of pride, and sense of
belonging was the basis of economic life---every caste had an important
place or vital place. Each caste gave to the society its product or service
and Society in turn met its needs. It was Barter system*

*To call all these artists as BCs, not meritorious etc is the height of
stupidity. Introduce subjects like carpentry, Hair Care, Tailoring etc in
the subjects for the competitive examinations and then see. All those
subjects are environmentally friendly; they revive the pride of India.*

*PEOPLE WHO TALK ABOUT MERIT MUST TELL—MERIT IN WHAT?*

*### The Hindu Caste System and Its Cultural Significance*

***Understanding the Caste System***

*1. **Caste as a Path to Enlightenment***

* - The caste system in Hinduism is often misunderstood and
misrepresented. Each caste, or varna, traditionally followed a specific
path towards spiritual enlightenment, embodying unique skills and
knowledge.*

*2. **Cultural and Artistic Contributions***

* - Various castes contributed significantly to India's cultural and
artistic heritage. For example, the Nai Brahmins, often seen merely as
barbers today, were once celebrated musicians, contributing to the rich
tradition of Indian music through instruments like the Nadaswaram.*

***Examples of Caste Roles***

*1. **Nai Brahmins***

* - Nai Brahmins were revered for their musical talents and played a
crucial role in cultural ceremonies. Their work extended beyond hair care
to include the creation and performance of music that was integral to
various social and religious functions.*

*2. **Artisans and Craftsmen***

* - Carpenters, goldsmiths, and other craftsmen held esteemed positions
in society. Each caste had its own specialized knowledge and skills,
contributing to the overall well-being and cultural richness of the
community.*

***Barter System and Economic Life***

*1. **Barter-Based Economy***

* - The traditional economy was based on barter, where each caste
provided specific goods or services in exchange for what they needed. This
system fostered a sense of pride and belonging among members of each caste,
reinforcing their role in society.*

*2. **Environmental Friendliness***

* - Many traditional caste occupations were environmentally sustainable.
For instance, carpentry and tailoring relied on skills and materials that
had minimal ecological impact.*

***Revaluating Merit***

*1. **Defining Merit***

* - The modern concept of merit often overlooks the diverse skills and
knowledge that different castes bring to society. Merit should not be
narrowly defined by academic achievement alone but should include practical
skills and traditional knowledge.*

*2. **Inclusion in Education***

* - Introducing subjects like carpentry, hair care, and tailoring into
competitive examinations and education curricula can help revive and
respect these traditional professions. It also promotes environmental
sustainability and cultural pride.*

***Conclusion***

*- **Cultural Respect and Revival***

* - Recognizing the historical and cultural significance of each caste
can help restore pride and respect for traditional professions. This
approach emphasizes the diverse contributions of different castes to the
rich tapestry of Indian society.*

*- **Broadening the Definition of Merit***

* - Expanding the concept of merit to include practical and traditional
skills fosters a more inclusive and respectful society. This can help
bridge the gap between modern and traditional values, promoting a holistic
view of societal contributions.*

*In essence, the Hindu caste system, when viewed through the lens of its
cultural and spiritual heritage, reveals a complex and rich tapestry of
skills, knowledge, and contributions that have shaped Indian society.
Recognizing and integrating these diverse paths to enlightenment can foster
a more inclusive and respectful understanding of merit and cultural
heritage.*
